    cold room leak repair

We had problems with our cold room leaking, A&A had Dwight out to fix it and he was fast and did a great job and he cleaned up aferwards. We found everyone we had contact with at A&A to be polite and easy to deal with.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Diane! We had some serious rain to test it out and I'm glad it passed the test. --Andy

Exterior Foundation Repair and Tuck Pointing

Getting a quote was quick and easy. Dwight from A&A arrived early in the day and completed the work in two days. Great explanation of the work to be done, how things were progressing, the work completed. Avoided having to pull down a gate to complete the work which saved us additional time and costs. Would use A&A again and would recommend to others.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Justin! Dwight just came on board this year, but he has proven to be one of our most valuable team members. It's great for him (and me) to get this kind of feedback. --Andy

    Rebuild Chimney

I was extremely pleased with the treatment from A & A Masonry's highly professional staff at all levels. Pierre explained very clearly when providing the quote what the problem was and how it should be rectified. Within a few days A & A Masonry staff was at our house to get the job done. Ronaldo and his crew worked efficiently and got the job done within a day. Aside from the fact that they did a great job, they were very courteous and made sure the surrounding area was left spotless when the work was completed. I would highly recommend A&A Masonry for any brick repair job for a house. Thank you Andy for a job well done!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Larry! Ronaldo has been with us since almost the beginning for the very reasons you mentioned here. (But he still loves a pat on the back, so I'll pass this on to him.) --Andy

Full mortar joint replacement, foundation parging

Joe and James arrived on the hottest day of the summer and set to work on our crumbling century home. The bricks were in such bad shape, we were afraid they would fall out onto the heads of visitors! The exposed portion of the basement wall was crumbling as well. Joe and James ground out all of the joints and filled in new mortar to our exact colour specifications. They worked quickly and expertly despite the scorching heat! They also cemented and parged the exposed basement walls. We couldn't have been more pleased with the results. Looks like a new house!!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Frank! The boys enjoyed working on that job, despite the heat. There's a real friendly, laid back atmosphere in your home that is a pleasure to be around. --Andy

    Basement Waterproofing Window Wells

I initially hired another contractor last November to waterproof the basement front wall and install the window wells for a legal basement apartment at my house in the Sheppard-Morningside-Wickson Trail area. However, they took far too long to complete the job and it stretched into January. Dominic and his crew returned in mid-May to correct issues with the Bilco plastic window wells sagging as they were backfilled by the previous contractor in late January and they sagged and pulled away from the wall with the thawing a few weeks later. I had to dispose of the Bilco window wells and went with TecSteel galvanized steel window wells instead from Edmonton. Dominic and his crew did an expert job patching the dimple board after removing the old plastic Bilco window wells and installing the TecSteel galvanized window wells. I would highly recommend A+A Masonry for future masonry, tuck pointing, basement lowering and basement waterproofing jobs. Dave

Repair on retaining walls bordering front steps

I've been telling people, since I got the work done 2 days ago, how impressed I've been with A&A. First I spoke to a lovely woman at their office who promised someone would call me to arrange a quote. They kept their word and I got a prompt call and later met Pierre who was very knowledgeable and personable (and the quote was very fair compared to the competitive quotes I got). From there, I was promptly put in touch with Andy who sent Dwight to my house. The work Dwight did was fantastic. It was readily apparent that he takes his craft seriously and his dedication to getting the job done in a top-quality fashion was impressive. He showed up at 7:20am and didn't leave until 8:45pm! The whole time he was focussed on replacing deteriorating brick with new brick, crumbling concrete with beautiful limestone and tuckpointing the entire area so it looks like new. He also answered any questions I had and I told him he was making me re-evaluate how hard I work at my job. He'd put most of us to shame! Thank you for the excellent work. It was a pleasure working with A&A.

    repair/replace chimney stack

Very good customer service and quick to respond to all questions. Very happy with work performed and how clean the area was after removal of the old chimney. Andy and his team were great and provided information the entire time, which was important as I could not be available during the repair. Thanks A&A masonry! -Ryan

veranda resurfacing , concrete pad and brick replacement

We hired A & A Masonry without having any prior knowledge of the company. After receiving several quotes from other companies, we spoke with John McCutcheon about work that needed to be done on our veranda. John actually came out to see us within an hour of contacting the company. The veranda and steps were basically in good condition but bricks were starting to crumble and the concrete pad was broken. John suggested resurfacing the top of the veranda and the steps and building a new concrete pad, as well as replacing all the crumbling bricks. A week later, Brayton and Daniel started working - unfortunately they had to work in that 4 day heat wave, that was enough to sap anybody's energy. Brayton listoned to all our concerns and worked with us tocomplete the job promptly and efficently.. The cleanup was excellent - thanks guys and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending A & A Masonry to anyone. If we need any work done in the future, we know who to call. Harry and Ann in Etobicoke

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Harry & Ann! I passed this along to Brayton & Johnand it made their day. --Andy
