    Duct Cleaning in Mississauga

    I am deducting a * for the price but these guys did a good job. They came in and told me that they cannot clean the Vents because of the furnace type - Its a high efficiency furnace and they did not want to take a chance. They came in and added vents to the furnace exhaust as the installer had not made it serviceable. Overall they were very professional, cleaned up after the job and arrived on a weekend (the easter weekend!) because they agreed on Phone!

    Hi Rama Annaswamy, it was a pleasure to meet you, and congratulations on your new home. Just so homeowners reading this are aware, it is not the furnace itself that we could not properly clean, it was the type of ductwork installed. These high efficiency outlets are small 2" outlets that our tools can not properly access. (if any company says they can clean these effectively, they are full of it) In order to clean these, you would have to disconnect the flex hose ducting that runs throughout your house, which is impossible to clean without damage. We did clean the return air system completely, and the main supply trunks that run off the furnace. We also performed a thorough cleaning of the furnace, as a courtesy to compensate for not cleaning the entire system and replaced the filters. Also, what Rama means when he says "added vents to the furnace exhaust" he means we have created access panels to access the interior of the ductwork, to allow hook up of the vacuum hose to remove the contaminants. Feel free to contact me if you would like further details on the cleaning of this type of ductwork system.     Duct cleaning

    We were very pleased with the job done by the Duct Cleaning Specialists. We found the company on Homestars, and when I called Paul he was able to give me a very clear sense of what the process would involve and how much it would cost. We were able to make an appointment for a few days later. Paul and his associate, Steve, turned up on time and worked quickly and professionally during the entire job. They took great care to keep an eye on our cats and left the house as neat and tidy as they had found it. Our ducts had been cleaned before we bought the house, in theory, but they had been badly neglected, and the amount of detritus Paul and Steve removed was truly astonishing. They also cleaned our dryer vent and our downstairs bathroom fan for free. Paul also made sure to point out to us a couple of problems with our furnace and hot water heater (one quite serious), which we would never have known about otherwise. In short, it was a wonderful experience working with them from start to finish, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends.

As I say over and over again, there are many companies out there, yet only a few are certified, so finding the amount of dust and contaminants in the ductwork is not surprising. Also, having your hot water tank exhaust not venting to the outside, rather venting into the furnace directly beside the return air intake, is definitely a major concern that needed to be addressed for obvious reasons. Also, taking the time to inspect your dryer and clean out the lint trap, not perform an actual cleaning, is always done as a courtesy, but appreciate you recognizing that in your review.     Dryer vent cleaning and repair

    It was an absolute pleasure working with Paul and The Duct Cleaning Specialists team. Professional, courteous and knowledgeable, they kept us involved throughout the entire process and kept the disruption to our practice minimal. While the job turned out to be more involved than either party had predicted, Paul and his associate dilligently repaired the poor and potentially dangerous workmanship of the previous contractor. I would absolutely refer The Duct Cleaning Specialists to anyone and everyone. I received an educational breakdown of their process as well as quality work - for which we are happy to maintain a working relationship with Paul and his team.

    To the staff at Physio FX: Thank you for considering us for the project (although we were not their 1st choice, they had called a company out for a quote, but failed to provide one) obviously that company did not care about the work so we thank them for their tardyness. Upon arrival to perform a typical dryer vent cleaning, we noticed that the ductwork was not fastened. Before we were able to start, we actually had to properly fasten the entire ducting. We were then able to properly clean the system, install a new flex hose for the dryer, so the unit can run efficient as possible.     Whole House Duct Cleaning & Furnace Cleaning

    After much searching, and reading the reviews on HomeStars, I finally decided on the Duct Cleaning Specialists to clean the ducts and furnace in my home. The owner Paul Hannah personally did the work and he was a true professional from the moment he walked in through the door, until he cleaned up afterwards and left. Paul set up his equipment, and carefully went through cleaning each vent in the house. He explained what his equipment did, and how it cleaned deep down into the heart of the ducts. He also took the time to clean the furnace, noting that the blower was off balance and so it's blade was warping. He took the time to clean the blower as well, and realigned it back into position. Paul then followed through on an inspection and noted that there was no proper airflow reaching one of the vents on the ground floor due to a gap between two joints in the basement ductwork. Not only did he seal that gap, but he took the extra time to inspect the whole duct system to find any other small gaps that could be releasing air to prevent proper airflow, and hence be increasing my heating bills. He sealed these small gaps as well. This was a much appreciated energy saving service. I was very pleased with both the work and helpful service, and i look forward to my family enjoying a healthy home from here on in. Nice job Paul and the Duct Cleaning Specialists.....would highly recommend you to others!

    Duct and furnace cleaning

    I found the duct cleaning specialist on home stars about two weeks ago and I proceeded to call Paul and booked an appointment for this week. He and steve showed up on time, was courteous and professional throughout the whole cleaning process. He explained everything that he was doing in detail. he clean my ducts and the furnace was an extra $45 which wasn't a surprise. this house was purchased about 10 years ago and we have never clean the ducts, ever. This was long overdue and now its squeaky clean. I have absolutley no complaints. I will definitely use their services again in the future. Thanks again paul and steve.

    long overdue duct cleaning

    My wife and I are just wrapping up a kitchen reno and figured now would be a good time to get the ducts cleaned. And boy did they need it. So I simply googled duct cleaning, clicked on Paul's company, checked his HomeStars rating on here and saw all the positive reviews. One email with a follow-up voicemail and Paul immediately responded and we set a date. He showed up right on time, thoroughly explained the process, covered all flooring that needed to be, removed shoes when they should be and had the job completed in a little under 3 hours. Ducts are all squeaky clean and blowing like the wind. Hiring people to perform work on your house is always a leap of faith and dealing with Paul on this was quite simply painless. Polite, professional, thorough and conscientious. Very glad we found Paul for this project....I highly recommend him. 10+

    Very professional and very thorough. Highly recommend Paul and his team. If you're skeptical about what actually happens during a duct cleaning service, watch the video on the company's website. Also, Paul will explain the services performed very clearly...

    duct cleaning & el. air cleaner service

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! 10+++++ Superb communications via email and phone - quick and professional responses (even while Paul was on vacation). Showed on time, spent 4-5 hours of hard and intensive labour, even cleaning some leftovers from the previous duct-cleaning contractor. For the first time ever after duct cleaning the in-house air has no odor any more - good job Paul! Helped with the old electronic air-cleaner, too. This summer I will use The Duct Cleaning Specialists again for the A/C service. I am glad I've finally found a good, quality and reliable duct/furnace/AC service and plan to keep it for long time.     Duct and furnace cleaning

    When Paul and Steve cleaned our ducts and furnace two weeks ago, my husband and I thought they went above and beyond. They were on time, professional and friendly, and explained everything about the process to us. Our house was recently renovated, so the ducts were full of sawdust (in addition to the 10+ years of dust that the previous owners had left in the ducts and furnace). Having them cleaned has mad a huge difference. I noticed the lemon scent that another reviewer mentioned, but in our case the sent wasn't strong and was gone in less than 24 hours. We will go with these guys for future cleanings as well. 100 % recommended!

As you said, everyone has a difference smell threshold, and while one customer may notice the scent for a few days, it usually disappates after a few hours.     cleaning really dirty ducts

    Paul was very responsive to my initial enquiry. They were on time and very accomodating. The work Paul and Steve did was excellent. So why a "9" rating? If I am nitpicking, there were two ducts that still had the blue sticker wrap on it after they left. Paul mentioned the smell was eco friendly disinfectant that would disappear in a few hours. It took about two days to fully disappear. I had to open the windows so my wife could sleep. The next morning, I opened all the windows in the house, turned on the furnance fan and left for a few hours to let the house air out. Had I known the smell would have taken a few days to dissipate, I would have made arrangements for my wife to sleep at her parents. Each person has a different tolerance to the smell. I didn't mind it but my wife has a much more sensitive nose. That said, the ducts look very clean and there were some other value add services that Paul provided such as providing and changing the filter on my humidifier. According to Paul my ducts haven't been properly cleaned since the house was built (50 years ago). I will use the Duct Cleaning Specialists again in the future.
