Hi Richard, thank you for approving the review in a timely fashion. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. I would like to emphasize to future potential customers that there are many "new" duct cleaning companies that are popping up in and around the GTA. It's unfortunate but there are only a handful of us that actually do the job properly, have the proper tools & equipment, and have received industry certification. Some of these other companies, like the one Richard had in previously, are in and out of the house in an hour, not even utilizing the proper tools, equipments or procedures. Your HVAC equipment is very expensive, at least $5,000 when you add everything together, so make sure you have someone certified doing the work, because that $99 duct cleaning job, could end up costing you thousands in repairs, and I highly doubt that these companies have the proper insurance, or would take blame for any damages. Be cautious when hiring a contractor. Do research on the company, ask for references, don't just book solely on a "low special price". Hi Malini, thank you for your kind review. As you know, I take pride in my work and make sure that the job is done properly. You are dealing with Indoor air and has can have an effect on your health, so you want to make sure that the job is done properly. As far as the negative reviews go, I would have liked to have done the job, just sometimes that are instances that prevents me from doing the job. That customer seems to be happy with the service that he received from the other company, so good that he got the job done, unfortunatly I lost out on his business. What I don't understand, is why I couldnt at least have received a 2 or 3 star out of 10 instead of a big fat zero LOL. I mean afterall, he did say I was courteous on the phone, arrived prompt for the appointment, just couldn't do the work. Thank you for the review Nathan. I just want to note, that the job wasnt done quickly because it was "rushed", it was done because of the system layout, only a few vents throughout the home, and easy access to the main ductwork, incase customers are wondering. A regular home usually takes about 2 1/2 - 3 hours, where Nathan's home, in downtown toronto, was very small, and roughly took no more than 2 hours. As far as the specials go, I like to offer different promotions to attract new customers, as well as our old ones, so good luck with the weekly and monthly draws, and once again, thank you for your business and kind review. Hey Roger, hope all is well. Thanks for writing the review. Its appreciated as it helps to provide other customers that piece of mind knowing they can rely on a certain contractor. Nowadays, there about 40-50 "duct cleaning" companies that have popped up in the past year. Unfortuantly, about 85% of them have no clue what there doing, so customers have to really do research, to get the job done properly. As you know first hand, I beleive it is very important to inform the customer about the job, equipment, and information about there system, so they can do the proper maintenance required, which will prolong the life of the equipment, and reduce any costly system repairs.
