Forget about Sears $349 plus $13 per vent, forget about Fresh and Clean $70 plus $8 per vent, forget about checking websites that makes promises but, (almost always) won’t deliver their promises because they know they don’t have to because no one holds them accountable. The industry insiders know the self regulated industry only works for them not the customers. We know that. We are not surprised. We know we are on our own. In a rare occasion when they do deliver – it usually means you have to dig really deep into your pocket to satisfy a tradesman’s appetite for charging an exurbanite amount of money for a standard work/procedure such as duct cleaning. So, it is with this understanding I’ve tried one more time to get my duct cleaned again – find someone who would do it properly and not break the bank – so I am hoping.
I called Paul Hannah after watching YouTube video on his website of an undercover footage lead by a local TV station to show viewers what could happen when home owners are fooled or defrauded by unscrupulous duct cleaning company. The video showed exactly what I was suspecting happened to me the day before. When I wrote the cheque to pay the company the day before I knew I will redo duct cleaning.
When Duct Cleaning Specialists pulled-up to my driveway, you can immediately see a clean and organized (both exterior and interior) company truck, arrived with proper equipment everything from the industrial size vacuum tube(as shown on his website) to paper towels and waste bin for garbage the job might generate. After I pointed out to him where all the vents are, Paul explains what he believes are the problematic spots and ways he would approach to clean my duct – he went to work right away.
I was pleasantly surprised by Duct Cleaning Specialists. I believe they are a rare species in an industry that can be very unforgiving at times. Paul charged me exactly what his website indicated - exactly. After I paid, he thanked for my business and left. For Paul Hannah, my house was just another house he helped cleaned, but his attitude towards his job and client, his business approach in getting the job done, the pride he carries in his work exhibited while in my house was more than any skeptic can ever imagine. Paul proved that there are honest, hardworking, decent, and fair people in his business after all. Make home improvements affordable, living healthy attainable to ordinary people like me.
On Homestars’ web profile, Paul has stated Duct Cleaning Specialists’ goal is working towards earning a place as 2010 Homestars Best Of’ award. Well, he has earned my vote.
I do not know Paul Hannah, I never met him until I Google search “duct cleaning” on the net. His work and professionalism are so rare in my experience that I decided to write this review to thank Duct Cleaning Specialists. However, don’t just take my word for it. Experience it for yourself.
