    Water softener services

    It took 3 hours for 2 technicians to tell me about my options for servicing or replacing my water softener. The home inspection was a joke as the only piece needing work on my plumbing was shut offs for toilets that were current. I was disappointed in the lack of knowledge of the 2 technicians and all they seemed to do was quote me costs. I felt pressured into ordering a softener through them but likely will cancel my order and request my money back. There was no estimate just fixed fee. Very expensive

    Plumbing

    I had requested a drain auger from the basement with removal of toilet and auger all the way to the city line. There were not many large roots further out the pipe, so the technician suggested to me that there is no point to have the large equipment brought in and pay extra money so he brought a smaller apparatus that would address a problem closer to the base of the drain that would cost significantly less and do the job. Dave, the Plumber found a huge clump of roots in the drain pipe and successfully removed this obstruction. It was pleasant that he explained how everything works to me, and also gave me great advice on what possibly might needed updating. The plumber was prompt, courteous and helpful. I am a platinum member because of their service so I receive all kinds of perks, such as a yearly free home inspection, discounted prices and they put your appointment before all of the last minute customers so you don’t have to wait. If you’ve ever had a plumbing disaster this is an amazing perk!

    Sewer back up

    I called gentleman plumbing after another company keeps me waiting for two days. I’m happy I made this call and Brian did the job perfectly. I highly recommend this company. It’s so important to find a plumber who take appointment seriously, especially when you have sewer backup problem at home.

    Hot water tank replacement

    From the time I called to make an appointment until they left my house, I was so impressed with how friendly everyone was. What started as a bit of a gas leak making me super nervous turned into me feeling very safe and secure with all things plumbing in my home. They walked me through the repairs and the inspection they did on my whole home. My parking lot is being replaced which meant they had to walk back and forth to the street a trillion times without complaining. Honestly just so nice, so thorough and knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend them any time.

    Leaky shower valve, replaced.

    Very professional and courteous. Work explained beforehand and carried out in a timely manner with a home check done as well. Altogether great service!

    The quality of service, product, attitude, and consultation speaks for itself.

    Having a prompt installation of a high efficiency boiler on the verge of winter has made us very happy, warm, repeat customers.

    Great, Fast Service

    We had a plugged toilet that required extra attention. The service techs (Kyle and Nick) arrived in under 1 hour, diagnosed the issue and were able to fix it quickly. We are very happy with the work and will definitely call Gentlemen Plumbers again for any emergency plumbing needs.

    Shower repair

    This is the second time I've had Action Auger come out to work on our plumbing, and the second time I've been completely satisfied with their work. They arrived on time, offered an up-front assessment of the cost of repairs, and completed their work quickly and efficiently. They absolutely live up to their name - "The Gentlemen Plumbers" - and when I need plumbing work in the future they'll definitely be getting my business again.

    Competent but not Competitive

    I had used Gentlemen Plumbers for yearly Furnace check-ups after an special offer several years back. This year they determined my furnace needed to be replaced. I had their technician quote me a price for a new furnace. A competing company also furnished a quote for the exact same specifications. The Gentlemen Plumber Tech's quote was very confusing, constantly referring to labour "units" or something similar rather than hours and actual price ("this installation will take three labour units ... whatever that means"). The competition quoted 25% less and guaranteed they could do it in one day. In the end I had the competitor do the install and the tech with an apprentice were in and out of my home in 5 hours
