    Roof Replacement

    I contacted Danny at Roofs on Homes after having two quotes from other (seemingly reputable) companies. What a difference I noticed from the moment of Danny's arrival. The only person to actually go up onto my roof, take measurements, inspect vents and soffits. He explained my situation and my options very clearly and professionally, and left me with a concise printed quote and catalog. Having narrowed down my colours Danny dropped off samples, and we were able to schedule a date in a very timely manner. Roofs on Homes uses top quality Certain Teed products throughout and I couldn't be happier with the installation. He wasn't kidding when he said they only have an "A" team, the workmanship and communication is of the highest order. Between the beautiful shingles, my new Max Vent, and the astonishing warranty, I am beyond satisfied with this company.

    Mattamy Powell Model Replacment Roof

    I contacted at least 3 roofing companies earlier this year and Danny from Roof on Homes was great! He was prompt to respond, professional, courteous and very willing to answer all our questions. He had originally given us a quote from 3 years prior and honoured that original quote. We were told by him 3 years ago, that we could wait a while and we appreciated his honesty then, so we contacted him when we needed a full roof replacement earlier this year. He provided many great local references that we could check in town as well as all the necessary paperwork/insurance/WSIB information. His team was professional, quick and very fastidious. Our roof was done in June of this year and the shingles-Certainteed Landmark, in moire black look great. It has been almost 6 months since the job was done and there have been absolutely no issues with the roof. We highly recommend Danny and his team to anyone that needs a terrific, honest and reputable roofing company.

    Reshingling Roof

    I contacted Roofs on Homes as a result of the excellent reviews on HomeStars. I also contacted 2 other local companies. One didn't show up for our appt (out of the running) and the second prepared an estimate about $100 less than Roofs on Homes. However, Danny from R on H took more time with me, explained the work in greater detail, was providing shingles that were warrantied for 50 years (versus 30) and provided a few 'additions' that the other company didn't. So we went with R on H and were totally satisfied. Because they were busy, I was given a time estimate about a month and a half from the date of the quote, with a promise to keep in touch. And Danny did. As we got closer to the date, we communicated more and I was happy to be kept up to date, even balancing weather concerns in. When the day finally arrived, I was notified that the crew was busy finishing another job and would be a couple hours late. Again, happy with the communication. The crew were friendly, very hard working and professional. Because of unpredictable and changing November weather, they actually had to attend over a period of 3 days, but each day they left our home neat, tidy and accessible. The roof looks great, it came in on quote and I am worry free about my roof for the foreseeable future. I heartily recommend Danny and his crew and in fact I have already passed their info onto one of my neighbours. I was certainly impressed by their work and professionalism, but in particular I liked that they came en masse to do the work as quickly and properly, not dragging it out for a longer period with a couple of people working. Again, look no further, you can trust these guys!!

    Replace shingles

    From the time we called for a quote and when Danny arrived to provide this information and the explanation of his services we immediately felt comfortable in selecting Roofs on Homes to complete this job. We had regular communication leading up to the confirmed date of the job. The entire team was professional and courteous during their time on site. They finished on time as scheduled and were very diligent in ensuring the entire area was clean and clear of any debris. We would not hesitate to recommend Roofs on Homes to anyone looking at a new roof.

    Roof that is worth the wait

    Our roof was in desperate need of repair and we thought that we could get one more winter out of it. It was evident that the roof had to be done, so in early fall we started to get some quotes. All from roofers highly rated on Homestars. Of the 6 quotes (yes 6) Danny from Roofs on Homes came in with a quote somewhere in the middle, not the lowest and not the highest. Danny was very personable and easy to work with. He answered all of our questions, was very patient with us and made us feel at ease. Danny walked us through all the details and advised us that there would be an approximate 4 week wait. We were so impressed with Danny that we decided to proceed with Roofs on Homes and we are extremely glad that we did. The crew was nothing short of professional. They took care of everything and made sure that the site was clean at the end of each day and spotless when the job was done. I highly recommend Danny and Roofs on Homes.

    Roofing

    When Danny came to our home to provide us with an estimate on reroofing our home, he brought his ladder and physically inspected our roof. Danny explained everything in great detail from the various types of shingles and ventilation units to the warranties available. He was very thorough, extremely knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant throughout his presentation. Once we decided to have Roofs On Homes replace our roof, Danny kept in touch with us regarding the delivery date for the materials and expected installation date. Both Marie and Danny responded to all of our phone calls and emails promptly displaying excellent customer service. Chuck and Norm and the whole crew always arrived on time, were very hard working and very approachable. Chuck pointed out where we needed extra sheets of plywood as the existing plywood had rotted out. They took great pride in their work and did not rush the job. Every evening a magnetic nail remover was used to find loose nails in the grass, walkways and driveway during their clean up. We totally appreciated this as we were quite concerned for our dog. Once the job was complete, Danny strapped on his tools and reviewed the job. Danny – many thanks to you and your crew for a job well done. We highly recommend Roofs on Homes.

    Urgent Roofing

    Had met with 4 roofing companies over the course of 4 months and my gut immediately said to go with Danny. Danny was the only one to actually go up on the roof and see it up close. But I took my time and researched the process as we live in a semi and my neighbours had been truly gracious and left the decision to me. I wanted to make the right decision to respect their trust in me. After many a texted, emailed or phoned question over the 4 months, Danny always responded quickly. My neighbour had a serious leak and Danny, knowing the urgency, sent out Chuck, who not only temporarily fixed my neighbour's trouble spots with additional shingling (not tarping) but found 15 leaks on our side that I didn't even know about. On top of all that, my neighbour decided to suddenly move with a short exit date and found themselves with a conditional offer that hinged on the roof being fixed immediately. Danny, with full respect to his other signed clients, worked with us to figure out the best service date he could provide and completed the job weeks ahead of the original December service date. Danny's crew were great guys that have been with him for years and they had the process down to a science. It was so easy to talk to each person and they were all personable and approachable. The one surprise was when the crew showed up with a disposal truck instead of one of those disposal bins. It was such a great blessing to have the debris removed every day and not lose a parking spot. I didn't have to worry about any damage to my driveway or calling for a city parking permit. The crew always cleaned up the site every day. One of the reasons I chose Roofs on Homes was because they believe as I do that their workers have to be tethered the entire time they are on the roof. This was a very big deal for me and I would have kicked them off my property if they had done anything less. I was so glad to see they took this very seriously. My backyard neighbours even made comments about it as they were particularly watching from their vantage point. They were very impressed. We also had a Max Vent and Ridge Vent installed as our house didn't have enough vents built in and we had a major problem with retaining too much heat in the summer and condensation. We also wanted a Sun Tunnel installed in our kids' bathroom for natural light but it didn't quite fit due to the position of the existing vent and lighting and Danny very willingly and easily removed the associated cost from our invoice without a moment's pause. Roofs on Homes is not the cheapest provider out there but that is because they invest in their crews, paying them a living wage rather than those companies that only charge $2500 for a job. Roofs on Homes uses top quality materials and back their workmanship with a 15 year warranty. I believe in working with ethical companies and know Roofs on Homes was always the right decision. I'm kind of sad that I don't have any further reason to reach out to Danny and Chuck as it's always such a gift when you meet good, decent people and you never want to let such positive relationships go. But, I will always have a decent roof over our heads to remind us. Thanks Danny and Chuck and the rest of the guys! Sincerely, Nadine

    Roof Vent Repairs

    We had been trying to get the company that had installed our new roof 4 years ago to come and replace a roof vent that had been damaged, likely by a raccoon but after repeated calls it just seemed complicated and so I checked on Homestars and found Roofs on Homes who were well rated so gave them a call. They were extremely polite and definitely wanted to help us. Chuck called us within a few weeks as we knew they were busy with much larger jobs and came over. He dealt with my wife and was extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable. He replaced the damaged vent but also noticed an incorrect vent had been installed for the bathroom and offered to change that one at the same time if we wanted which we had him do. At the same time I asked if he could check all other vents which he did. He performed an inspection of the roof, all other vents including the two ridge vents, checked the eaves and hammered in loose nails. Really put our mind at ease as we head into the winter. While we may not have used them original for our roof, we'll be using them for anything and everything on the roof going forward.

    New roof

    Booked late in fall for Spring install. Danny worked sales and explained everything in great detail, very honest and frank presentation. In the Spring the crew was delayed by a day but communication was constant and respectful - they explained that rain had set their schedule back and they needed to finish an existing job before moving on to my home. When they arrived entire crew were great. Job took longer than anticipated due to unforeseen extra work but they stayed late into the evening until everything was completed correctly. Danny returned next day to do a second review of the work (my neighbor was impressed with that) before collecting final payment. This is my 3rd roofing experience. Highly recommended.

    Re-roofing

    Danny and his team @ Roofs On Homes were a pleasure to deal with. The entire process of getting things done was completely stress free. From the first contact with Danny, he gave us all the information we needed, answered all our questions and made us feel confident in him and comfortable in choosing them. He didn't try to sell us on anything more than we needed and explained why every choice of material was the one to go with. From there, we had 100% confidence that our home was in good hands. He was in constant contact with us, keeping us up-to-date on the status of the work to be done and was always readily available. The team who came to perform the installation, completed the job, successfully, in 1 day, and made sure our home and the area surrounding was as clean and tidy as they found it. It's as if they were never even there! My Mother had nothing but glowing things to say about them. All in all, we are more than pleased with the job Danny and his Team did on our home. We have the security of knowing the investment made, not just in the materials, but in Roofs on Homes, was money well spent. Many thanks to Danny and Roofs on Homes!
