Hello, the finance loan you took out for your system is separate from the warranty issue. To combine the two issues makes the situation look intentionally bad and that is unfair. That has nothing to do with us, you took out a loan because you didn't have the funds to pay for it. The unit you purchased only had 1 year labour warranty from the manufacturer. And as per your invoice, we offered you the chance to get the extended warranty on labour, we sent you the invitation by mail on your anniversary date, our invoice states that very clearly, but you refused the program. Which is like insurance, and like insurance, insurance companies don't cover a claim if the insurer declined the offer to renew. We have to follow the manufacturers guidelines, so please don't shoot the messenger, we are trying to help you, but the issue is an equipment defect, not because of our workmanship, as you know. I know its frustrating, but we don't make the units, we simply install them with the best technicians in Ontario, we notify you of your warranty obligations, and if you don't comply then we cannot do much more. We are at the mercy of the manufacturers and Carrier is tough to deal with sometimes.
