Review from HomeOwner Review left on 25 Oct 2015Rating: 5 out of 5This was a very good experience in general. Good equipment nice people to deal with. Pros: 1. Friendly people, Quick response. 2. Installation team was friendly, very clean, did a good job. 3. Equipment was no lesser quality than other much more expensive competitors. 4. They were very considerate that I had no heat and installed my furnace two days after purchase. 5. The Amana variable speed/two stage furnace is very good quality. cons: 1. After installation they did not pick furnace pallet and packaging. 2. Installation team made a technical mistake. They wired a single stage thermostat as a two stage. Furnace remained at first stage and never went to second stage. They responded quickly to my request and got a technician that fixed this mistake. 3. On both cases Technicians in my opinion did not stay long enough to show us how furnace worked and switches between stages. I have electrical engineering background and am used to installing electrical systems, so my expectations are different than most people. But I still think this is a good company. I would recommend them and deal with them again.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 25 Oct 2015Rating: 5 out of 5new furnace installation
I was very pleased with the installation of my new American Standard furnace last week. Marnie came to my home to explain the options and provide advice on the best furnace. Adam and Adam came to install the furnace on the agreed time and day. I was going from a mid-efficiency to a high efficiency furnace. I was very concerned about the potential damage to my finished ceiling to install the new vent pipes. My furnace room is in a very unfortunate part of the basement. However, the Adams were very careful when removing the old ceiling tiles and were able to reinstall them. Once I do some minor paint touch-up along the edges, it will not be noticeable. The installers needed to return another day to complete a few things, but the furnace was operational before they left the first day. Everyone was very patient with my many questions and concerns. The work is now complete and the furnace is working great so far.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We had to replace our old furnace with a new one. The service we received was excellent. I first spoke on the phone with Sam to inquire about products and pricing. He spent 20 minutes explaining everything and answered all my questions. Very knowledgeable, funny and down to earth. I never felt as though I was being "sold" anything, just provided with lots of information which I found to be a breath of fresh air. Then his daughter Marnie came to the house to take measurements and she also answered all our questions. Like her dad, she is very knowledgeable, patient and no sales pressure tactics. Kalim and James did the install. Two great guys. They were on time, very polite, took the time to explain things to me and answered all of my questions. The install was done very professionally, nice and neat, no mess left behind. From beginning to end we found everyone to be friendly, helpful and professional. We also found the price to be very competitive and fair. Time will tell how happy we will be with the actual product but from a service, install and pricing perspective, everything was great. I would highly recommend this company. We'll likely need a new A/C unit and would definitely call Convertible to do that job. Thanks for making this so easy! Review left on 23 Oct 2015Rating: 5 out of 5New Amana High Efficiency Furnace and Air Conditioner
I was in the market for a New High Efficiency Furnace and Air Conditioning. I had about five estimates and lowest pricing was Convertible Heating and Air Conditioning Inc; that was within my budget. Marnie Amodeo, the General Manager came to my home and provided me with an estimate. She was very professional and took all measurements of the units and able to provide with information what was best suited in order for me to make the right decision of the furnace and air conditioner. She was excellent and explained everything to me including all the rebates and any questions I had. She put my mind at ease. I choose Convertible Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. to install Amana High Efficiency Furnace and Air Conditioner at my home. The installers, Kamil and James showed up on time on October 21, 2015 to install the above. They were very friendly and discussed with me what will be done before they start the work and answered any questions. They worked conscientiously and provided me with updates. Once completed, we did a walk around, tested the heat air and explained everything in detail. They were superb and the quality of work installing the furnace and air conditioner was excellent as per my inspection. They cleaned up everything, they were pretty neat and tidy. I highly recommend Convertible Heating and Air Conditioner Inc; and my wife and I were very pleased we choose this company. Marnie, my wife and I thanked you and your crew for the excellent service. You were quick to get back to me for additional questions and that is very important to the customer. Thanks........Roger SinghReview from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Very professional technicians and sales rep. Both were very accurate in time and installation. They went above and beyond to help with vision to create more space in our basement. It was fast & efficient and the furnace is doing a great job. Much quieter than our 20 year old one.Review from Jim Pillinger Jim Pillinger
Review left on 21 Oct 2015Rating: 5 out of 5Service and then replace furnace
Tahir came to service our broken furnace ... in the nicest possible way he explained why it was pooched and our various options. On time, at our convenience, Dave, and his assistant, came and replaced it with a new furnace. Took less than 3 hours. Now we not only have heat and humidity (we added a humidifier) but an honest, trustworthy, "Go To" place for future needs!!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Our current air conditioner ran and ran and stopped cooling. Convertible Heating & Air Conditioning came out and determined the cooling coil was defective. We decided to put in a new system which has a 10 year warranty. Sandy was very responsive and helpful and we appreciated how quickly and efficiently the replacement was done. We are very happy with the company and their serviceReview from Afzal Mohamdally Afzal Mohamdally

The company is very efficient and provided the replacement of my furnace on a day which was suitable for myself. I had worked with Marnie and Convertible before with good results so when we bought our new home they were on our list for estimates. They came in with a good price, we gave them the order and the initial install went ok. We noticed that the apprentice was doing fantastic work, clean and well finished but the main installer was a little sloppy and didn't seem to care. We asked him to run additional gas lines for us and he said he would do it directly (not through Convertible) and charged us way too much, did a really sloppy job and took weeks to finish the installation. This summer (1 year after installation) the air conditioning wouldn't work and when we called they said the unit was over 2 years old (it was under 1 year old) and out of warranty. We got that sorted out and they came and repaired the unit (coolant leak).Answer from pro:
Hi Mike, I remember you well, you used to live beside my cousin and originally bought from us due to our good work done at her house. Then we did your house in Oakville with great success as per our normal fashion. I'm shocked and very sorry the gas line was 'sloppy', but I thank you for at least mentioning all our other good work. At this house in burlington, I remember being there. We installed a furnace, AC and some custom duct work to the basement and elsewhere. I had a look at the pictures of the job in our file, and it did look very neat and clean. So, I'm a bit surprised that you wouldnt call me to work out your unhappiness with the gas line. Its been almost 2 years. And as you said, we did come back to rectify the AC coolant issue for you. Our installer had permission from me to 'go direct' with the gas piping, it was easier than having the office make a new invoice at the last minute. And since he didnt get the materials from our warehouse, and had to go get them at he last minute on his own, I said he could charge you direct. Lastly, the only other thing I can think would cause Dave - such an experience technician - to do a gas line sloppily would be the strange and very tight area at the side of your home where the gas meter was. It had windows everywhere, then the gas meter - and then the venting for the water heater and furnace, all of which have strict codes on their distance to eachother. I bet it was very hard to stand in that small space with the low hanging trees and bushes around to work in. Either way, its always very upsetting for us to have any negative reviews, as we bend over backwards everyday to do the right thing in good and professional ways. I'm very sorry the gas line wasnt to your liking and if you have any needs in the future, please contact me directly and I will look after you.
