    furnace installation

    Very friendly service right from the personal quote. This person really knew her stuff. Making it very clear my satisfaction was a priority. Price was fair.     New Furnace Install

    Removal and Installation of the furnace was seamless. New furnace is very quite. They were efficient and very professional and left the area clean. I would highly recommend this company.

    New furnace

    After an exhaustive search, I decided on Convertible heating based on cost and experience. They were very efficient with installing the new furnace the next day and left the area very clean, it was obvious they took pride in their work. I also appreciated the information they provided about the furnace and ongoing care. Very content with my purchase to date.

    Furnace installation

    Extremely happy with the purchase and installation of our new furnace. After a bad experience with the previous company, this was a breath of fresh air. Very professional and helpful installers as well. Will definitely call of them again.

    Great Service

    Came home from a weekend away and the furnace had stopped working. We have coverage for our HVAC system and the company sent Convertible to help us out. After a professional and candid inspection we we're provided with a quote to repair and a quote to replace the furnace. We opted to replace the furnace. The new furnace was installed a few days later, which was amazing because it was the end of January! My interactions with the technicians, the company and the installer were great. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable, and professional.

    New furnace installation

    I am very happy with the installation of my new furnace by Convertible Heating & Cooling. I found their prices fair and also this company was recommended to me from two other neighbours that were also happy with their purchases. Everyone was nice and polite and professional from Marnie to the installation team. Installation team did a wonderful job and left no mess for me to tidy up. Very nice team. I look forward in early spring in purchasing a new air conditioner from this company. Glad I chose Convertible Heating & Air.

    combi

    We got a new combi heater and tankless water heater from Convertible after both the main larger companies left us in the cold in more ways than one... after hearing all the deceit and manipulations from them we checked HomeStars and found these guys, to the point, honest, simple and fast ... don't get fooled, tricked from by the large companies. We went with the smaller honest company that does not expedite to cheap labor and call centers far away in another continent. It was a great hassle ($$$) to get rid of the other large companies, which is where they make most of their money ... so better go with companies (like this one) that actually show you what happens after the number of years of service, rather than the other corporations that give you "discounts" in advance and "take you from behind" (after the service period (many fees) or when your system breaks down and does not have replaceable parts). Many kudos to these guys (convertible) for being in the business for so long and providing awesome support, service, and quality! -- may you live long and prosper!

    Heating and Cooling System Review

    Convertible Air has installed a new furnace, air conditioner, humidifier and a tankless water heater in my home. I called them one Winter morning with a broken furnace, Chris came to our house and gave us a quote. He sent his crew out quickly and before we knew it, our home was nice and warm again. We were so impressed with their speed and professional attitude. I have now installed another Tankless Water Heater in my other house. I strongly recommend them to any new home owner.

    Excellent price and outstanding installation / service

    Convertible Heating company offered me lowest price for tankless-heater 160btu. The installer Adam (from St. Catherine) was amazing and very helpful and gave lots of other tips and small help in my basement. He is simply amazing and talented individual.

    Furnace Issues

    I had them come and look at my furnace which stopped working overnight. Our house was around 18 degrees by mid morning. After some fiddling, the technician quickly told me that a motor died and that it would cost me $2000 to replace the part. At this point it was recommended that I get a new furnace. That made a lot of sense because the quote that he got from the salesperson at Convertiable Heating and Air Conditioning for me was roughly $4000. Later that evening I played around with the power switch and the furnace started to work, but the result of the fiddling that the technician did, the thermostat was off, and the furnace was running at full blast. That was good enough for us to last another night. I was able to get the salesperson on the phone and asked if the price could be lower and the sales person seemed offended that I asked. I was not informed of any rebates. ie manufacture or government rebates. The next morning I had a discussion with the technician and told him that our furnace was still working. He started by telling that I shouldn't keep the furnace on all the time because it was running at full power, but when I asked him to come reconnect it to my thermostat he seemed to change his tune and say that it might be better keeping things the same. Did he say that because he didn't want to come back or was it actually better to keep things the same? In any case, I decided to just leave things the same and look for another quote. The furnace was kind of working, so I had time to get other quotes to compare with the pricing I got from Convertible Heating. 2 days later I was able to get multiple quotes and have a new furnace installed the same day that I requested it(from another company). With the other company I was able to get multiple rebates from the manufacture of the new furnace and a government audit for a rebate was arranged for me. To the technician's credit, he called me back the day after I got my new furnace to tell me he found a used part that he could install for me. In the end I choose to believe that I may have picked the wrong day to call with an issue. From all the reviews I've seen most people are happy. Unfortunately that was not my experience.

The one thing to note is that never, ever do we act inappropriately, or in a manner that takes advantage of others. I think that you recognize this by the way that we treated you professionally and with care and no pressure. If in the end you chose to replace the furnace with somebody else we appreciate that, but it has nothing to do with us lacking Integrity or professionalism or knowledge. It just means that you did not go ahead with the repair, which any technician would've been experiencing the same issues. And I am not sure what you were talking about regarding a $4000 furnace. We don't have any furnace is on our price list for that amount of money! and we offer manufacturer rebates every day as well as the Enbridge gas rebates to all of our customers.
