My furnace seemed to be working and then suddenly switched to cold air. This was happening constantly. I called Max, and within a few hours he was over at my house (2 separate occasions). He immediately identified the problems: my thermostat was dying and my furnace was too powerful for the ventilation system. Nobody was able to identify the issue except him. He creatively fixed the issue to buy me some time until I have to purchase a new furnace. His customer service is the best in the city, bar none!

We came home to a cold house and soon realized the furnace wasn't working properly. Luckily we found Max on Homestars and he was able to help us out even though it was late in the evening. This alone is amazing since it's pretty cold out there and we were worried it would get too cold in the house. He was really helpful and knowledgeable and had our furnace up and running in no time. I would recommend him and I know who we will be calling next time we need help with the furnace.

We called Max after whistling noise, strange smell and finding that the house stay colder than the set temperature. He came on that day, found that it needs to replace one motor, and came back with a new motor next morning. He performed a thorough job, spending probably for 2 hours, and instructed how to maintain the furnace properly.

Max took my call in the evening and came by the next day. He texted an hour before our appointment and asked if it was okay if he came by earlier. He was courteous, helpful, and thorough. It was a new boiler and the fan was making a screeching noise when it came on and he quickly identified the motor as the culprit. He tightened some screws to secure it in place and that stopped the noise, but he also explained some of the peculiarities of our particular system. He was very thorough and hung around turning the boiler on and off a few times and listening for a while to ensure he'd done a good job. As far as I'm concerned, Max is my boiler guy now.

Max was courteous and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly, made the repair without fuss and explained exactly what he did. The price was also extremely reasonable.
