I am a very diligent enquirer whenever I seek to engage a Service company. So, when we decided to replace our roof, I made extensive inquiries about roofing companies in the region and beyond. Gitano Roofing was referred to me by my Son's father-in-law whose roof they replaced the previous year. My "search" ceased after I spoke with Lewis and the office staff. I got a feeling of confidence and I invited an estimate.
I was not disappointed. The estimate was within our budget and they offered very good warranty. They accommodated us with respect to time of installment. And, although that took place about eight months later (after the Winter months), they honored the estimate. They kept in touch before they came. Each time I spoke with Lewis or Zaneta from the office, I felt assured that they valued our business. When the chosen shingles were delivered they were not unloaded and placed upon the roof to cause undue stress to the roof.
Although we are in Markham, Ontario and they were in Oakville or Mississauga, the team who worked on our house arrived at the expected time. They were able to get good days weather-wise. They answered my questions in a satisfactory manner and addressed any concerns I may have had. They were efficient, professional and pleasant. They checked and rechecked the work. When they were finished, they made sure that the clean-up was through and complete.
Upon completion of the job (within two days), Lewis contacted me and inquired whether we were satisfied with it. Yes. We were very pleased. To "crown" this experience, I received an e-mail from Lewis on June 28th (two years later) asking whether we had any roof problems after the heavy rains and strong winds in the last couple of weeks. Quote: "Hi, It's been a while and I am curious how the roof is holding up? I hope it is keeping you nice and dry. Regards . . ." This also attests to the fact that Gitano Roofing really cares about their customers.
Since our roof was done, I have recommended Gitano Roofing to several people including our daughter and her husband (in Brampton, Ontario), whose roof they also replaced. I am pleased to have this opportunity to recognize Gitano Roofing's excellent service. I have no hesitation in recommending that company to future prospective clients.
