    Basement waterproofing

This company lives up to its excellent reviews. They are efficient, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and dependable. From the initial competitive quote by Eugene to the impeccable clean-up by the hard-working crew (Igor and Richard), this company did a fantastic job. Igor and Richard showed up at 8:00 and worked steadily until nightfall to ensure that the work was completed before another rainfall. They are amazingly hard workers! Eugene provided a good alternative to the installation of a sump pump. It would highly recommend this company to anyone requiring waterproofing work.

    Great company, reliable

We heard about Aquatech from a friend who had used them for his basement. We are currently renovating our basement (100 yr old home in TO) and decided to waterproof the interior. We dealt with Larry for the quotes, and before the work started. He was reasonable and very pleasant to deal with. I had also requested quotes from three other companies. When the work started, we had a team of two young gentlemen who completed the work within three days. They were punctual, worked hard and left the site extremely clean once work was completed. We are very happy with their work and would strongly recommend this company for anybody needing waterproofing services.

    Answer from pro:

Dear Private User, it is such a pleasure to know that you have chosen us among other companies that came out to see you not only by recommendation but because you liked the service Larry had provided you with. We are delighted to know that we could stand by his word and give you the service you deserve. We truly appreciate your time and the recommendation review you have left for us. Truly Yours - Aquatech Waterproofing Team, Toronto

    Basement waterproofing

I've had problems with a leak in the basement for a while. After calling a few waterproofing companies and hearing their prices and recommendations I decided to go with Aquatech. The project was 48 feet + 16 feet of outside waterproofing, installation of sanpump and backwater valve, and inside waterproofing of cold room. It was done buy two professionals, Igor and Richard in 5 days. The quality of work was great. Their supervisor Eugene was very helpful at all stages of work, answered all our questions, and came several times to make sure everything was done properly. I would definitely recommend their service.

    Answer from pro:

Dear Renel, thank you so much for taking the time and writing this amazing review for Eugene, Igor and Richard. Your feedback is very important to us. We truly appreciate it and it is always such a pleasure to work with great people like you. With Best Regards - Aquatech Team, Toronto

    Aqua Tech Rocks!

How do you spell "relief"?? Answer: Aqua Tech Waterproofing. My 160 year old home suffered damage from a demolition that took place across the street from our house, causing considerable loosening of mortar and rock in my foundation on the north wall. In the January rainfall this year, my basement flooded. Project Manager, Vlad came to quote the job in March. I got three different quotes, and his was the best. Not only that though, it was the amount of care he showed, his timeliness, and his assurances that he could fix it. Igor and Richard started the work on Tuesday, and it was done by Thursday afternoon. They sealed the exterior north wall and also sealed the interior north walls. Put in a supercharged sump pump. Honestly, they're the nicest guys on earth; they worked SO hard! My anxiety was super super high about getting this work done, but every step of the way, they were pro-active in finding solutions to various challenges, and VOILA! My precious house is sealed! I am SO relieved, and SO grateful to the team for their professionalism and the quality of work. I HIGHLY recommend this company, and truly want to express my sincerest appreciation for ensuring this old lady house remains strong, and protected. Best money I ever invested in my house! Thank you gentlemen, you ROCK.

    Honest, friendly and professional

We called a couple of other so called "reputable" waterproofing companies who tried to oversell. Called Aqua Tech and Nico came by and explained everything to me and what we really needed done to fix the problem. A week later, appointment was booked and Terry and his partner arrived and did a fantastic job. Very clean, no mess, very kind and respectful of our property and our neighbors. Price was by far the best but it was the service and workmanship that sold me. Highly recommend them if you have any issues with a leaky basement.

    Waterproofing and sump pump installation

I cannot say enough about Aqua tech and their team. Aside from doing a fantastic job waterproofing my basement and installing a sump pump. The crew, Igor and Richard were courteous, kept the jobsite clean, announced their arrival/departure every single day so as not to alarm me with construction noise. I honestly have never experienced such hard-working crew. I would be remiss if I did not give a big shout out to the first person I met from Aqua Tech - Shawn, who came to my home and provided me a quote. He was honest, knowledgeable, and explained the entire process step-by-step. He answered all my questions and did not try to sell me with a smooth sales pitch. The price he quoted was fair, and in the end, I chose Aqua Tech, because of my trust in Shawn. I highly recommend Aqua Tech!

    Answer from pro:

External waterproofing on old row house

I has some efflorescence and termite problems on the basement walls of my 100 yr old row house in Riverdale, and needed waterproofing, weeping type system and a sump pump. I got several quotes and chose Aquatech because they use a multi-layer, dimple board system, their price was good (though not the very lowest), and they're a large and established company. Slava and his team arrived to do the job and I was really impressed. They worked quickly, really knew what they were doing, and Slava was able to problem-solve some small issues effectively. He ensured that I understood the work and was satisfied. They also kept the house surprisingly clean given what a messy job this is (they had to walk everything through my row house), and arrived and finished when Slava said they would. Very satisfied customer!

    Incredible master

The master installed a bath and a sink for me, and worked maximum for four hours. He worked with his own tool. We liked the quality. He even gave practical advices, thank you!

Good only if willing to supervise

Job was waterproofing down to the weeping tile around 40 linear feet. This was a job where it was necessary to watch the work being done to make sure it was done as quoted and done fully. Don't get me wrong it was all done, but there would have been a number of crack that would not have been grinded and filled in had I not pointed it out and made sure it was done. In the quote: Protect work area - a number of areas were not protected and I had to go in to make sure they were. A neighbors AC unit was very close to being hit with dirt, a neighbors basement window was going to have a lot of soil load on it if I didn't step in and a downspout was pretty badly dented and would have been worse if I didn't put something there to protect it. *EDIT* the downspout was rectified by the owner after the fact to make things right. Things were thrown on the bushes and flowers without a second thought. When excavating they kept hitting the shovel against the foundation to clean it, but this kept making 2-3in dents/slices in the wall. Luckly I was doing parging after this so it wasn't a huge deal but this might not be the case with everyone. Prepare Foundation (power wash, wire brush) - not really. They used a scraper to remove some of the noticeable debris but that's pretty much it. *EDIT* - spoke with the owner and while this is in the checklist, this is done in extreme cases only. Blow Torch - in a few cases the foundation was wet, but nothing was done to dry it. Was told it was fine. *EDIT* - spoke with the owner and while this is in the checklist, this is done in extreme cases and the aquablock is good at sticking to relatively damp surfaces. Apply 2nd Layer of Aquablock - NOPE, was told only one is needed. *EDIT* - spoke with the owner and while this is in the checklist, the way it was done was with one heavy application rather than two. end result is the same amount. Install new 4" plastic weeping tile pipe (with filter cloth) - this was done but they did not install filter cloth in the first segment and only by looking at the quote did I notice that this needs to be done. They were not planning on doing this had I not brought it up so a good 7 ft segment does not have this installed. Cover Weeping tile with gravel - yes but its a tiny amount. They replaced maybe a few inch worth of 3/4 gravel where there was about 12in before. Look, overall did the work get done? Yes. Do I have confidence that it will protect against water and everything is protected? Yes. Did they leave me with a feeling that everything would have been done great without any input and nothing would be damaged had I not been there? Absolutely not and that is the issue. If you are willing to supervise and make sure things get done right, by all means. If you are a hand off type of a person, then I would not recommend this to you. *EDIT* - Spoke with owner and changes were put in place that certain things don't happen on future jobs. Banging of the shovel will be fully removed form the process and only done on nearby rocks, checklist will either be adjusted or the process adjusted to suit the checklist of items that would be done. Further care regarding protecting the property within the work area to avoid any damage. Overall very responsive company and willing to do things to make it right if possible.

    Exterior waterproofing

Nico carefully examined the problematic areas and clearly explained how and why water was coming in to the basement, and how Aquatech would resolve the issues. Aquatech’s estimate was comparable to that of the two other companies we spoke with. Slava supervised the work on the day, and explained and resolved a few little underground surprises that were not revealed until the excavation was complete. The two workmen protected the surrounding areas with tarps and cleaned up meticulously afterwards. Slava also graciously exchanged the window well when we changed our minds about its size, and ensured that its installation paralleled our brickwork. All in all, we are very pleased with the results: no leakage into the basement following the most recent rainstorm.

    Answer from pro:

Dear Allan, thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your experience you had with us. It means so much to us to know that we were able to perform and meet your expectations, leaving you with a water free basement. Sincerely - Aquatech Waterproofing Team, Toronto
