A neighbour recently had some aeration completed on their lawn and in talking, they recommended Canadian property stars. The sign-up process was quick and easy and I was amazed at how well both services were applied. I have been a homeowner for over 40 years and have used various lawn maintenance companies but I have never found a job done so well as it was done this time. The technician worked his butt off going over the property again and again and this was all done when I was away from the home. In addition to the payment I felt compelled to give him a tip because of the amazing job he did. Without question I would suggest that you use the Canadian property stars company, and if you were lucky enough, you will get the same technician as I did. I got a knock on the door last week and a Canadian Property Stars crew was doing some work down the block and asked if they could do work for me while they were in the neighbourhood - they had a lawn aerator and a power rake. I agreed to let them do my lawn and when they were finished there were three large brown yard waste bags on my front curb filled from the power raking. (The pictures show two bags but there was a third one on the other side of the walkway leading to the street.). I thought they put them on the front curb because they were going to come by to pick them up later. Several days later the bags were still there. I called their number, (I am in Vancouver) and I spoke to someone in Ottawa. They said that they do not pick up the bags. What am I supposed to do with these bags now. If this was the case it would have been better for them to put the stuff into my green bin and saved themselves three brown paper bags. I am glad that it did not rain and get the bags all soggy since now I need to take care of them - DISAPPOINTED that they did not finish the jobAnswer from pro:
So sorry for the inconvenience with regards to the bags. We cannot remove them due to our setup and volume and for this reason we ensure we are very clear about this on all of our service visits. If it's only 3 bags I recommend dumping them into your city bins and the city will take it away. Again apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

This lawn service was advertised as doing a complete job of servicing our front lawn. Overseeding and lime treatment were not done as promised. My husband and I both phoned and sent emails. Phone calls were never returned. Finally one email was answered saying they would send someone to finish the job as promised. Service was supposed to be March 11th. I had my driveway sealed by Property Stars a year ago in August. For some reason, it never soaked in properly and therefore was incredibly slippery during the winter. By the time I realized the problem it was too late to do anything about it until the temperatures warmed up again. I spoke to the company in Spring and their solution was to come and reseal it for me (no charge). I hoped that it would be different this time, but unfortunately it has simply recreated the problem. It's once again extremely glossy. They claim that it must be something about my driveway, but I've had it sealed every few years (with tar, not acrylic) and have never had this problem before. I run a small business out of my home and am terrified of my clients slipping in the winter.Answer from pro:
Unfortunately even with the Free respray the driveway cannot absorb our product for some reason, the driveway simply needs time to cure and eventually fade in time. Please wait 2-3 years prior to sealing again. Apologies for the inconvenience.

They came to my door and I had them aerate my lawn front and back for two years consecutive. The second aeration was a joke. You could certainly tell they were rushing and were being paid on commission. It was a not even close to thorough job. The next year I said not thanks and I am glad I did. They should train their salespeople not to insult the potential customers lawn after being denied the job. I call them a hit and run company. Perform as many services as you can in a day so you can ring the bell. More of a product driven company approach if you ask me.Answer from pro:

This is actually a follow up to my negative review earlier today, (now changed to positive), referencing a disappointing job done of sealing our driveway. I am now very happy to say this Company got in touch with me very shortly after my expressing disappointment and a technician/manager came around and redid the work - the driveway looks great now.
