I originally questioned all of the positive reviews that seemed to start with "Sam showed up ...Sam did this Sam did that....." I was a bit suspicious of phony reviews, BUT....... Sam showed up closer to 12 than 2 in the 12-2 window we talked about. He called 30 minutes before as I'd asked. He started by cleaning my AC (in the midst of a bunch of weeds, some of those with thorns) with a garden hose - he was right in there and not afraid to get dirty. He quickly diagnosed and replaced a faulty capacitor, which got the ac running again. (and replaced all of the contacts on the wires) He then serviced the furnace and cleaned it same visit when I asked. Great service, very professional, and takes pride in his work (not a lot of others would have taken the time to replace the contacts on the wires). He'll be my go to Toronto HVAC guy from now on. The reviews are true!

Sam was great! Polite, clear and concise in the work that needed to be done. Was on time and identified the problem right away. Issue: The evaporator coils were dirty and the condensation drain pipe was clogged with sediments causing the drip pan to overflow and seep into the laminate flooring. Solution: cleaned the evaporator coil, and removed and cleaned all the debris/sediments from the condensation pan and drain pipe. Very reasonably priced work! Will definitely be using his services again. Thank you Sam.

Sam arrived within the indicated time range. He was very friendly and gave sound advice. He worked efficiently and well, managing to repair our old unit that we feared would have to be replaced. $260 repair versus a $2600 new one. It made my day!

Had to have the valve replaced I emailed them and heard back in an hour, they came and fixed it the next night. There was no hassle and the technician was very friendly.

Sam arrived within 1 hour of the call, was very pleasant, and communicated very clearly what was broken and what my options were. Excellent service.

Our AC was running but very inefficiently. After checking out reviews on Homestars and Google I contacted Climax Air and asked for a service call. They said that they would be out later that same day. Sam called later that morning and said that he would be at our place within a half an hour. Sam asked me to describe the problems that we were having and then went to look at our furnace. He quickly determined that our coils were frozen. When he checked the AC unit outside he found that the unit was low on refrigerant. He first turned on the heat in the house to thaw the coils and drain the melting ice water. This took a little while but Sam patiently persisted. Once that was complete Sam topped up the refrigerant and sealed the leak. He turned on the AC and checked the temperature output. The temperature became sigificantly colder than we had been able to obtain for quite some time. The house quickly cooled to the set temperature. Before he left Sam he asked us to call if any problems resurfaced. Throughout the whole process I was impressed with Sam's professionalism and patience with my many questions. I have waited a week to post this review in order to make sure everything was working as it should and it is. We are very pleased with the service and we would not hesitate to call Climax Air again if needed.

My AC wasn't working properly, it was running, but no cold air. I called Climax air and Sam responded within 1 hour of my call and confirmed that it was low on refrigerant. He was able to top it up. Within a few minutes, my house was cool again. Sam even double checked to make sure the temperature was cool enough and he said to call him if I have any further trouble. I'm happy now that the heat wave is coming and the AC is working now, thanks to Sam!

Faulty relay preventing Actuator from working and providing switch to cold air. Sam provided excellent work in servicing the issue. Once he determined the relay was the issue he had sent in an order for the part and fixed the problem on the next visit.

Sam and his crew did a stellar job replacing my Bradford White combi gas water heater. He ensured the process to get it replaced under warranty went smoothly. His responsiveness was exceptional: after the replacement he dropped by on a Sunday to make an adjustment to the mixing valve, to my satisfaction. And his price was great. I will definitely be using Climax for all my future HVAC needs.
