Ryan travelled from Calgary to Windermere BC to assess the job and take measurements. He communicated promptly, was knowledgeable and professional and helped us make good decisions based on our needs. When our windows arrived in calgary, he sent a crew to Windermere to install them. The whole process was easy and smooth, from initial contact to final payment. I highly recommend Speyside windows.

Replaced two exterior doors in our home, with accompanying screen doors and replaced one cracked basement window pane. Company quote was not the lowest but the work they quoted was the most comprehensive and they had great Home Stars reviews. Gentlemen who did the work were friendly, knowledgeable and immediately impressed me with caring about the details to do the job right. Screen and exterior doors look great but most importantly with the drastic temperature changes we have experienced since they were installed, the doors work properly and door seals are still doing their job. We are very happy with the services rendered and will call on them for future jobs.

This review is from having my 14 windows, sliding door and main door replaced. From the start of the experience, the quote and up until my 50% deposit everything was going well regarding communication back and forth and I was feeling good about my choice. However, my experience with Speyside Windows and Doors has been a severely disappointing experience since my initial deposit. I had to keep reaching out to them for the status of my windows, and even with them knowing my schedule and the start date 7 months after the date of my deposit, they still couldn't coordinate to have completed during the week I was off. This impacted my summer and caused me stress. Then with them splitting the install up, I was pressured to submit partial payments when the agreement was to pay the remainder 50% upon full completion of the work. I made the mistake of paying them a portion of the remainder, and as of this moment, my project is still not completed. I would strongly suggest holding firm and not paying the last 50% until the job is completely done and you are satisfied. I paid 50% upfront 11 months ago, and the job was started 4 months ago. They ordered one window with the wrong swing (bathroom) and a clear sidelight instead of an obscured for my front door. I'm still waiting for my sidelight to be replaced. I emailed three weeks ago and still no response from either owner to get the sidelight booked and other issues resolved. Their lack of communication and scheduling have been brutal to deal with. Also, I had to spend my time double checking the install which I would've thought the owner who was on site would have done. Doesn't seem right having the customer inspect and point out discrepancies. For example, not painting the cuts on the batten board to prevent rot. In fact, I texted the owner who was onsite about the paint for the cuts I had left with the batten board, which he didn't respond and then didn't paint the cuts until I pointed out after install, which they stated as being an oversight. I emailed one of the owners over 2 months ago about not having all the vendor labels for my windows so I can send in for my rebate, plus other issues like the sliding door lock not engaging, gaps not filled on inside window trim, a scratch on the inside of one of their installed windows, and other minor issues noticed needing to be resolved... and no response. Ryan R emailed me a month ago saying they hadn't forgotten about me regarding the sidelight and it should be ready soon. I had a voicemail when I got back from vacation saying the sidelight was ready, so I emailed both owners again regarding the issues emailed in September and how I was looking forward to coordinating a date set to get everything completed/resolved.... 3 weeks later and still no response. Looks like they have lost their "high standards" mantra and switched to the "get it done.... eventually" attitude. Pictures attached is what you can expect to find when inspecting Speyside's "finished product".

Cant say enough about the ease & satisfaction of this install. Ryan R. came to measure and made many helpful suggestions as we were figuring out our needs. The installers (Matt & Cole) were amazing. Friendly efficient and meticulous. Also one of the rare trades that cleaned up after themselves as they went along. We would highly recommend Speyside Window to anyone looking for new windows. We replaced all the windows in our home. Ryan was very helpful answering our questions when quoting the price. We had windows that were surrounded by stucco which was a concern. Matt and Cole, the installers, were excellent! There was no damage to the stucco or siding. They did a great job in cleaning up. The windows look great, no more drafts and condensation! We highly recommend this company.

This summer we had our windows replaced by this company and were very satisfied with the quality of their work. This project took us almost a year to get accomplished. It is not very easy to find a company that installs European-type (tilt and turn) windows in Calgary, and we are glad that after 4 months of searching for one we met Ryan R. from Speyside Windows & Doors. Ryan demonstrated a very responsible approach to the measuring step; he visited our house several times to make sure all the measurements were correct and all the details are accounted for. Only after that our order was sent to the factory in BC (Innotech Windows and Doors). We would like to especially thank Ryan for his advice to replace basement windows we didnt plan to replace initially. The installers' crew Ryan M., Matt, and Cole is outstanding. The guys are hard-working, and did an excellent job, taking into consideration outside temperatures exceeding +30C, the side of the house that contains the major amount of windows facing south, and the weight of the windows. They also transformed our patio door into a window and a window into a large patio door. In total, they replaced 11 windows and installed 1 patio door. The crew members were open to communication, and willing to answer all questions and explain all nuances. But the most important thing is their attention to details and the quality of finished work. It was the best 5-day experience we had with a company that does renovations in the last 20 years. They never cut corners, and when they were not quite satisfied with the result they would re-do the work until it is done right. They also did everything it took to get the project done on time, even if they had to work late hours (last day they started at 6:30 am and finished at 10 pm). We would highly recommend this company if you are looking for someone to replace your windows or doors.

From our in-home quote to the install process to the finished product we are thrilled with our decision to choose Speyside as our window provider and installer. We replaced the original 1978 windows in our townhome with 8 new windows. We chose Speyside after seeing the work they did on the exterior of another townhouse unit in our complex. While they were not the least expensive quote, they did offer the highest quality product and experience. When we compared them to the least expensive quote we received, the base model quality of the product that Speyside offered was much higher for a small difference in dollars overall. (Kind of like comparing a base model Mercedes-Benz to a base model Hyundai, the price point is different, but so is the quality of what you're getting) Ryan was upfront and transparent throughout the quoting process. I appreciate the clever and insightful recommendations he offered for our space, budget and needs. He was also knowledgeable about the Greener Homes Grant and ensured we had all of the documents and information needed to support our application and confirm our eligibility. (Bonus: Higher quality windows actually qualify for more $$ back!) Matt & Cole were an absolute pleasure to have in our home during the 3 days of install and made the entire affair a breeze. They were prompt, efficient, and thorough. The craftsmanship of the interior mouldings beautifully compliments our decor and it was installed with care and consideration. They were attentive to the details (and to our dogs!) and I appreciate the conscientious clean up that they did at the end of each day and at the end of the project. Overall, our new windows look amazing and we are thrilled with our refreshed space and our decision to choose Speyside for this project. Thanks Team Speyside, keep up the great work :D

Speyside did a fantastic job with replacing our front and back doors. They were very helpful in selection of the doors and walking us through the pros and cons of different options. Although the doors were delayed due to the logistics challenges impacting many businesses, when they arrived they were definitely worth the wait. The install team did a great job and even persevered through the rain to complete the job. We are extremely happy with the end result and would recommend Speyside.

Ryan, Ryan (yes, there are two Ryan's), and Matt were the three people I dealt with for this project. Ryan1 helped me to plan and did the pricing and the project management. Ryan2 and Matt did the entire installation. This entailed removing the ugly and inefficient window the builders had installed, removing a lot of insulation, plywood, and drywall, and installing a very large frame containing two glass panels and two glass patios doors. In addition, they replaced my back door and screen door. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the work that all three of these gentlemen did. It was nothing short of amazing. The transformation to my home is unbelievable. Just take a look at the pictures and you will see. The first picture was taken at 9am on a Wednesday morning. The second was taken at 3pm the next day. I still can't stop staring at it!
