Review from HomeOwner Review left on 15 Nov 2022Rating: 1 out of 5On going warranty issue with Nordik Windows and Doors who are the new owner of another company that originally did the work. Has now dragged on for over 2 years. Initially had 10 windows replaced in our home by another company in 2013. All good for a few years. 3 windows developed spots, called for warranty in spring of 2020, original company was purchased whole and is now owned by Nordik. A tech came out and confirmed bad seal, windows had lost gas. Told would be replaced through existing warranty. Waited several weeks for new units, then got call to schedule installation. That's when things went south. Tech got 1 window installed but scratched it. He cracked a second window during the installation and then gave up, didn't even try on the 3rd as he said it was the wrong size. Had to call company to follow up and see what was going on. They said they would order more units and call us when they came in. Months go by and every time I call to get an update I get the same answer, they are on order, waiting for the manufacturer. Went through a cold winter with 1 cracked window and 1 with no gas. Continue to call through 2021, same story.. waiting for them to arrive, apparently blaming the original supplier of the windows who is mad at Nordik as they no longer use them as the supplier... but my warranty has to go through the original place, they will not give me new windows from the new supplier. Nordik suggests that I call the original supplier, so I do and they tell me the windows were made and picked up. I tell Nordik this and they say they will try to find them. Go through a 2nd cold winter with 2 windows with no gas. Finally, spring of 2022 we get a call to schedule replacement of only the 2 windows. Guess I live with the scratched one. Installer arrives and cracks both units during installation, says they are too thick. Tells us we will get them replaced... start loop again... no word from Nordik other than random auto emails saying still waiting. Every time I call, same answer, waiting for them to come in. Was given a date of Oct. 20, 2022... called a week later, nope still not in. Looks like we will be going through a 3rd winter with cracked windows. Called the original supplier again who said 1 unit has been ordered but another is on hold as they have not received a purchase order to pay for that unit. Probably why the windows have not arrived yet. Just incompetence all around it seems. Have asked for a call back from anyone at Nordik, multiple times to let us know what is going on... zero call backs from anyone. Have also filed complaints with the BBB hoping to get some action. Although I felt the cost was a bit high the quality of their product seems good and the price is competitive. They were dependable and quick with our order. Our installer Tommy was meticulous and tidy and did an amazing job. It was a pleasure to have him work on our property.Answer from pro:

After the salesman had been I felt good and confident, since he left (been fired from the company) these windows have been a nightmare. They have come multiple times with the wrong sized windows. Not shown up for appointments which I have taken time off work for. Promised things they can't and haven't delivered. I really don't believe all these reviews they have anymore. I can't understand how it can be this bad. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY.Answer from pro:

Basement windows installed October 21, 2022. Nordic is a great company. From the initial phone call to set up an appointment for an estimate, to the day of installation, everyone was courteous, knowledgeable & professional. Once our order was placed, we were told installation would be December. To our surprise windows were ready early. The installers were professional & very tidy. Our windows look amazing! I would definitely recommend Nordic & wouldn't hesitate to use this company again when it's time to replace our other windows. Great job everyone!!Answer from pro:

Sold me black hinges with silver hardware Didnt install self closing hinges on a door that needs it as per code Now want to charge me extra then feed me words of nonsense and tell me that they dont make black self closing hinges but its an extra 30.00 Worst company Do not waste your hard earned money with themAnswer from pro:

The sales rep was excellent. I signed a contract on August 16 and was extremely hopeful. Since my remeasure on September 19th, I have called various times to see when my date for install would be. Its now November 3rd and I still do not have a response. I have little confidence in my install as of now. Im not a happy customer.Answer from pro:
