    condo appliances

    Modern Appliance repaired an aging refrigerator and installed a new dishwasher (after advising on repair of existing). In both cases Peter provided great advice, efficient and prompt service, and fair pricing.

    Fridge repair

    Our fridge started acting up late last week and was not keeping things cold. We called Peter and he quickly responded with a diagnosis over the phone and a workaround to get us by for a couple of days until he could come for a service call. He came today (holiday Monday), on time, with the part that required replacement and completed the repair. He is fast, very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this company.

    Fridge repair

    fridge repair during pandemic. Excellent services.I would happily hire Peter again. All aspects of service were very well executed.

    Consistently great service

    I have used Peter for over 5 years to fix my dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, etc. and I am very happy with the service. He is very good and doing preliminary diagnosis over the phone and often asks you to take photos to show him. All this is to minimize trips. He usually comes within a day or two of the call. I find him to be honest and efficient and his charges are reasonable. I will definitely use him for future repairs.

    Dryer repair

    Peter is very responsive and professional. Based on our telephone conversation he wasn't sure if we needed a new heating element or a new thermostat or both. He ordered both parts and set up an appointment to complete the repair as soon as he knew when the parts would be available. It turned out we only needed the heater so he said he would just return the thermostat. Peter also, on his own time, responded to a question I had about our dishwasher not draining, looked at photos I emailed and helped try to diagnose the problem and come up with a plan for fixing/replacing it (all of this during the Covid lockdown). We will absoluty call Modern Appliance for our future appliance repair needs.

    Fridge and washer repair

    Just wanted to say a big thank you to Peter. He’s knowledgeable , professional and honest. Fixed both my 12 year old fridge and 22 year old washing machine. Was very thorough and made sure that was the problem before fixing it. Compared to others who just guess work Also gives you tips to self diagnose before he comes over. What a guy. Thanks Peter and stay safe

    Dishwasher Repair

    I've used Modern Appliance for all our appliance repairs for over fifteen years. Peter is amazing, by far the best! Very knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. His response time to a problem is amazing!! I recommend him to anyone you will not be disappointed!!

    Excellent Customer Service

    Peter's thorough knowledge of the F35 / Sud error code my Kenmore He3T washing machine was producing, allowed for a quick and efficient resolution to the problem. A replacement of the pressure sensor immediately rectified the issue. Peter was quick to respond and addressed the issue immediately. His troubleshooting and attention to detail was outstanding. I would highly recommend Peter for and appliance repairs.

    Great service on a broken gas stove.

    Control unit in our GE gas stove went bad. This was at the start of the COVID-19 stay at home rules. I described the problem with my stove and based on the error code it was displaying, they ordered the necessary repair part and installed it 2 days later. We were really worried that we'd be stuck with a broken stove for a very long time. I was very impressed by Peters attitude and craftsmanship He took extra care to make sure the replacement part was installed correctly. Very fair price and excellent service

    Dryer
