    Quick Diagnosis on Washer Problem

    Called Modern Appliance and Peter answered on the first ring. I described to him the noise that my washer is making, he diagnosed the issue over the phone and recommended that repair would not be practical for a machine that age. Peter also recommended best brands to replace it with, and where to buy it for the best price. I've used Modern Appliance before, and they've never let me down! Ten stars again.

    Washer problem diagnosis

    My old stacked washer wasn't working properly any longer and after a quick look Peter explained how the transmission was broken and that the cost to fix it would be the same as buying a new machine. He took the time to discuss replacement options and what's involved in the removal of my old machine. He also kindly took a few minutes to look at my dishwasher which had been making noises and let me know there was nothing I needed to worry about and what I needed to watch for there given the make and age of that machine. All in all great service. Peter is courteous, informative and professional. I highly recommend this company.

    Broken dryer

    I have an older Sears Kenmore HE dryer that was not turning on and no parts left available for this machine. Peter was able to get it up and running again. Peter is very professional and honest. Have recommended him to other family members and friends.

    Dryer Repair

    Dryer repair. Excellent knowledge and expertise repair. Pleasant individual who replaced only necessary parts with explanation of why each part was being replaced. Recommended without any hesitation.

    Dryer repair

    Peter was professional, very fast to respond, completed quality work and provided some great guidance on both options and costs to fix my dryer. I would absolutely use Modern Appliance again.

    Oven Repair

    Fast response time, easy to work and coordinate with tenants, fair price and good work. I first contacted them to repair a broken oven element, and am happy I picked them.

    washing machine

    overall very happy. Peter is efficient, knowledgeable. I felt very much this is a honest company and that matters a lot. price was just a little higher than I anticipated but I still feel it is fair. I am behind times in what things really cost sometimes, so I am okay with the price. Had a part to pay for and the persons time and work. I would definitely recommend and would call again this company. my washing machine works good as ever again, it was just the latch that needed replacing. I had to push the machine back in the closet a bit as it was blocking the door from closing.

    dishwasher repair

    I found Modern Appliance on HomeStars a few years ago, and since have added Peter's contact information to my speed dial! I recently had to get Peter to come and have a look at my dishwasher. I had emailed him the make and model info ahead of time, and Peter came to the door armed with advanced knowledge of common problems found in that model and how to fix them, and at what cost. Turns out it was a much simpler problem than anticipated, leading to a much smaller repair bill. Phew! Peter always arrives on time, is neatly and professionally dreamed, brings his own tools, and always cleans up after himself. He responds promptly to all enquiries, and has repeatedly earned my business. I would recommend Modern Appliance to anyone!

    fridge repair

    Oh, that all service calls were that easy and efficient: a perfect 10. I called on Tuesday, Peter got the part I needed ($250) and managed to fit in the repair on Thursday before he left for vacation. Modern Appliances is now my go-to company if any of my other appliances need servicing or repair.

    Replaced dryer and washing machine

    The service man named Peter was very professional and helpful. He returned calls promptly and was always on time for scheduled appointments. Because of Peter the experience was pretty much stress free! Thank you Peter!
