    Dishwasher Repair & Microwave Estimate

    Modern Appliance arranged the appointment promptly and showed up on time. They are knowledgeable, courteous and were able to diagnose both the issue with the Dishwasher and the Microwave in short time. The Dishwasher was fixable but the Microwave is better to be replaced. Would definitely recommend to friends!

    Fridge Repair

    Peter went over and beyond the call of duty. We were not in his service area but accommodated us anyway. Very knowledgeable, knew what the problem was as soon as he took my call. Very honest and the work was A1. Very pleased. Thank you so very much! You have a customer for life.

    Washing machine repair

    I called Peter on Wednesday about a problem with my washing machine - water wouldn't drain - after reading positive reviews on this site. He diagnosed the problem over the phone with me and ordered the parts. We scheduled an appointment for 1pm on Friday and he showed up exactly on time, was very friendly and repaired the problem very quickly. Overall a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend him.

    Fridge repair

    Read a few reviews on Homestars and decided to call Peter regarding a leak from my kitchenaide fridge. Peter actually diagnosed the problem over the phone and advised that I could actually do it myself and save my money. This really earned my trust. Not being the most handy guy around, I asked him to come over and do the repair himself, which he did on November 15, 2013. Followed the instructions he left and haven't had a problem since. Would definatly recommend him.

    Fridge Repair

    Peter was friendly and really helpful with explaining the problems our fridge was having. He was very professional and had us test out some things over the phone before we ultimately had to use his services. He made some good recommendations as well

    Washer & Fridge Repair

    Peter at Modern Appliance is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, efficient, and reasonably priced. I don't know a lot of people in his field that will tell you how to go about fixing a problem over the phone, for free, avoiding a service call! When a problem comes up that I can't handle myself, Peter gets the job done. Highly recommended!

    Dishwasher Repair

    I highly recommend Modern Appliance and would not hesitate to use them again. I contacted the company to have my dryer and dishwasher repaired. Peter was honest and said that although he could repair my dryer, which was already old, I could possibly incur more expenses over time if the other parts wore down/broke, given it's age. Subsequently, he recommended that it would probably be more economical to purchase a new dryer. The dishwasher was repaired without any issues and at a very reasonable rate. Peter came around the time he said he would, was friendly and gave helpful advice.

    Stove, Refrigerator, Dishwasher repair

    Would recommend Modern Appliance (esp. Peter) to anyone and everyone. Proactively sourced parts based on problem descriptions across 3 different appliances including parts for "what if" scenarios just to be sure. Peter arrived and went right to work but still took the time to walk me through the troubleshooting, diagnosis and remediation steps with a smile. He fixed our Refrigerator and Dishwasher (while also pointing out a shoddy install which he repaired on his own as a courtesy) then moved on to the stove. My brand is not incredibly common in Canada but he took time to walk through all of the potential issues and then provided a plan to maintain ongoing troubleshooting and process of elimination so we only needed to fix what was broken vs. replacing everything that could be an issue!!!! If all of this wasn't enough he took time out of his busy schedule to look at our Gas Fireplace which wasn't working and made recommendations. Can't thank M.A. and Peter enough and wish I could give a better than 10 rating. Will be using them for any appliance issues that we encounter and just hope any moves we make in the future keep us in M.A. service area!! Thanks so much

    Frig repair

    Had issues with my frig where it had warmed up and we lost most things that were in it, but the upper freezer was still very cold and keeping things frozen. Called Peter one afternoon and he was over the next day. In no time at all he had fridge apart and realized it was the Defrost plug that had gone and the area between the fridge and upper freezer had iced right up and nothing was getting down into the fridge area. I had given him the model # , serial # before he came so he had some parts, and he replaced it, checked to see if the temp control , etc was working, and told me to give it 24 - 36 hours for the freezer part of de-ice and it would be fine. After doing that, I started it up and it has worked great. A lot more reasonable and pretty cheap when compared to buying new, espeically when you know there is still many years on something. Thanks.

    Stove/fridge/dryer repair!

    I call Peter for all my appliance problems every time. He is very responsive and professional. He has always Been on site within 7 days of calling contacting him. He explains every situation so I understand what the problems have been. He doesn't waste anytime getting to business and his prices are very fair. I recommend modern appliance to my friends and colleagues.
