    Repair Frigidaire Freezer

    I called Peter on Wednesday morning and explained the problem of the ice maker not working. He told me to unplug the Fridge for 24 hours (necessary for the ice build up in the freezer to thaw so he could replace the part that was broken) and he would be here with the necessary replacement part on Friday morning. He was right on time and fixed the problem. Courteous and Professional. If you need ANY appliance servicing - look no further!!

    Appliance Repair

    We found Modern Appliance through Homestars and soon discovered why they had such high ratings. Peter came out to look at our range hood, dishwasher, washer and dryer. In addition to addressing the issues, he provided invaluable information on preventative maintenance and some buying tips for future purchases. Great guy, very knowledgeable, very approachable and honest. I have already recommended Peter to a few co-workers.

    Broken Dishwasher

    Called Modern Appliance to repair my Bosch dishwasher. We arranged a visit next day, Peter was polite, knowledgeable and very thorough. Would highly recommend you call Peter next time anything breaks down, you will be pleased.

    fridge repair

    Peter was prompt and professional. Fixed fast and now works great. replaced waiter dispenser reservoir and ice maker. Peter has repaired our appliances in the past. Know everything and can fix any appilance

    Samsung Refrigerator

    Our Samsung refrigerator shut down completely about a month ago showing 88-88 sign on the display board. After reading great reviews on this website, I contacted Peter. We tried few things that Peter told us over the email but nothing worked. In the end, he replaced the relay board. It took 2 weeks to fix the refrigerator because the part he ordered arrived late (I was aware of this). After a month, it shut down again with the same problem and also the temperature display buttons were not responding. Since I had a good experience with Modern Appliance the first time, I called Peter again. However, he told me that "Modern Appliance will no longer deal with Samsung anymore due to the fact that the part department is always late and ships out wrong/broken parts". He thinks there is something wrong with other boards. He never came to check if the relay board they replaced was defective or not. At this time, I am very disappointed with the service provided by the Modern Appliance. [UPDATE] It was very unprofessional of Modern Appliance to call and tell me that they are upset with the review. When your advice didn't fix the problem I requested for a service. However, your last email stated, "we have cut that manufacturer out. You would have to contact them direct. The parts you probably need are the temperature thermistors." Did I not give you a chance? Why did you not inform me for over two weeks that you have re-ordered the part? I do appreciate the very first service you have given us. However, this unpleasant phone call from you left a bitter taste in my mouth. Thank you.

    Hi Michelle, your relay board was re-ordered despite the fact that we were not going to deal with Samsung. It was not our fault that the part may have been defective or that you may have had a problem with another component. The refrigerator did work with the new board. It's unfortunate you did not give us a chance to come back and see if the part we installed was defective, or if there was another issue.     Whirlpool Dryer Quit on Us

    Our whirlpool dryer quit on us the last weekend, I called MA, the gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful and told me a few tips on how to diagnose the issues myself over the phone. I followed the advice and eventually fixed the issue myself. Even though MA didn't end up getting the business, but the integrity shown in the process is worth commending. Thank you!

    Stacked Washer Dryer

    I send an email for a quote to fix my Mom's stacked washer which stopped at the rinse cycle (it didn't drain). I got a response from Peter quickly and he knew what the problem was. The quote I received was very fair and Peter came as scheduled. He fixed the washer in no time flat. Highly recommended, super job!

    Freezer part of Amanda fridge repaired

    Great response on phone and almost immediate appointment. Fine repair. Lower fee than estimated. Have recommended this supplier and home stars.ca to others. Also intial grat advise from Peter Pambis who was very helpful but not free the week needed.

    Fridge Repair

    Peter is on time and knowledgeable. His work is neat and clean. He explains the problem clearly and his price is fair. I would recommend Peter to my friends and families.

    Condensate hose clogged

    The manifold for my furnace was leaking profusley. I had contacted Peter with Modern Appliances and had him come and inspect my furnace. I was now preparing myself to have Peter tell me I need a new furnace. Peter came to my home and quickly and professionly diagnosed my problem to be a simple clog in my condensate hose. What a relief. While there he tuned up my furnace. Thanks Peter.
