After trying for over a month to deal with a Carpenter ant problem in our bedroom I gave up and called GTA wildlife based on their reviews here. For those of you who have ever experienced an infestation (rodents, fruit flies, moths...), you know how unsettling that is. I tried everything and nearly cleaned out Canadian Tire of traps, poison, and various "guaranteed" treatments. I did everything the internet advised. The problem just became worse and I continued to lose sleep. I finally gave in and called GTA Wildlife. Kevin was there in days, on time and was completely professional. He explained everything (except when I wanted to remain ignorant) and was thorough. In 2 weeks, as he predicted, the house was quiet again. He came right over the next morning and determined the squirrels were entering my adjoining neighbors roof by chewing through his roof vent. The solution: 1 way door on his vent and 10 roof vent screens for the 2 homes. The noises stopped immediately and everything is peaceful again. A huge racoon started lurking around our area, and on every garbage day he'd (the racoon) come around and dump the entire green compost bin on the curb creating a huge mess. I totally did not have time to dedicate to trapping a racoon, mainly cause i have my own busy life. Squirrels/Raccoon ripped two holes in my roof. One through shingles and plywood and the other through siding. (Both into the same location). Troy from GTA wildlife removal was very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and communicative. Troy identified that squirrels were living in the roof and that possibly racoons had tried to get at them. He was easy to reach by cell phone and called before he arrived as planned. He patched the roof hole and put a one way door on the siding hole. He will return in about two weeks to finish the job.
