Mice in ceiling of flat roof

We were hearing some scratching and scampering in the ceiling of our home - with a flat roof. We looked on Homestars and found GTA. I called Kevin and he came out in a couple of days. He arrived on time and thoroughly inspected the house - he did find some evidence of rodents with droppings. With no access to an attic he managed to get some rodenticide up into the ceiling through some ceiling light fixture holes in two rooms as well as in between the main and upper floors by pulling open some ventilation duct walls - very crafty! Kevin was very knowledgeable and efficient. He placed other bait traps in different areas of the home that are usually high traffic areas for rodents, just in case. We heard the increased activity he mentioned we would hear for about two weeks (so gross) and then heard a couple final thuds in the ceiling - and haven't heard anything since! Its been about a month. Hopefully we won't have to see Kevin ever again!! (Sorry Kevin!! haha) My only issue was that he left a bit of a mess moving around from room to room. (pieces of rodenticide on the floors of rooms he was in and cupboards disheveled after putting bait traps down. Other than that - which is incredibly minor - I would have Kevin back again in a heartbeat. Thanks Kevin! ~meghan

Thanks for the review Meghan: I am always learning in an attempt to become better within my occupation. Your review is a good learning example for me and a very accurate account of what true rodent extermination often consists of. Many thanks. Kevin.

    Raccoon removal

A raccoon gained entry into my attic by tearing the siding and creating a hole in the side of the house. Troy was very quick to respond and not only fixed the entry point but also went around the house and put in screws to secure the siding further to prevent other raccoons from gaining entry from other locations. Troy was pleasant, helpful and informative. Second time I have used this company and would highly recommend them.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. We appreciate the opportunity to work for you a second time. Sometimes the racoons can gain another entry point. Hopefully they wont be able to breech the roof again. You will have a one year warrantee on any areas that Troy has repaired. Thanks Again. Kevin and Troy.

Wildlife Removal (Raccoons in our Attic)

We discovered that some Raccoons broke into our attic. Troy walked around our house and was able to pinpoint the precise entry point into the attic immediately. Apparently the raccoons gained entry by bending the Soffits on our roof. By doing a quick 5 minute walk around the house, Troy knew exactly where the raccoons broke in. Troy built a cage and one-way door around the entrypoint and the raccoons left and couldn't return. Then troy fixed the soffit and reinforced it with heavy gauge wire so Raccoons couldn't break in again.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to write this review. This was a tough corner to repair the racoons had choosen a very remote and difficult location to enter the structure. Troy did a great job to reach this area and make the entry point tight. Thanks from Gta Wildlife and Pest Control.

    Wasp Nest Removal

I discovered a wasp nest above my front porch in late summer of 2010. I figured out the wasps were entering their nest between the cement of two bricks. I used silicone to plug their entry point and waited until the next day. The wasps were very angry as they eventually found a new entry point. I siliconed that hole also and waited until the next day. Now the wasps were very agitated and made entry through the front door impossible, (luckily I use the garage entry). At this point I called Kevin and he said he would send over his crew in a couple of hours. I told him about the silicone and he said that is the worst thing I could have done as the wasps will always find another way into their nest and eventually may even make their way into the home. His technician Troy came with an assistant and they sprayed their "magical fairy dust" into the wasp's entry points. He said 99% of the wasps will be killed and the other 1% will find a new home within a few days. By the next day only a few wasps were circling the area and by the third day all wasps were gone.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks James: Really nice that you took the time to write this review. Interior wasps nests can be really tough for homeowners to deal with. Exterior nests are easy to control for most. The interior requires a tracking dust. Nice to see that everything went smooth, in rare cases we may need to perform a second application. Thanks again James. Troy and Mike.

    mouse control

I've been dealing with Kevin at different times over the last five years for various ant problems which he has effectively removed or controlled. Recently we heard some scratching from the attic which turned out to be a mouse situation. As usual, Kevin was quick to come by and do a thorough inspection and treatment, providing detailed explanations on both the nature of the pest as well as the treatment prescribed. Kevin is knowledgeable, reliable & professional. I highly recommend his pest control service.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you: Mice have always been a prominant pest within homes. About 98% of rodent problems can be solved quickly. Once in a while we see homes that have a greater issue and they may need several treatments to eliminate the problem. Thanks for taking the time to write this review.

    rodent extermination

We called Kevin in a panic about a mouse infestation in our home. He came immediately and clearly knew what he was doing. He educated us on mouse habits and told us what would be effective and what was not. Our problem went away. When we had a "blip" a few months later, he came immediately, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. Kevin had a lot of expertise, was pleasant to work with and he inspired confidence when we were freaked out about mice in the house. If you are looking for an experienced, reliable, efficient expert for wildlife problems, call Kevin - he's really great.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you so much Amy: Thanks for taking the time to write this review, Most rodent cases are solved with just one application. Although depending upon many variable factors sometimes a few treatments are necessary to solve the problem. The service is normally very effective and will usually last for years. Thank you very much again, Kevin,

We phoned Kevin at GTA he said the problem could be quickly solved and that it was a common problem for homeowners. GTA Arrived right on time. Was professional, inspected the attic, applied Govt. Licenced rodenticides with total safety for the family. In Less than a few days the entire problem was solved. Very Happy with the service and knowledge provided. Mice Removal

I had been using another company and couldn't get them to come back for a 2nd visit. The mice were freaking me out so much that I decided to call that a loss and try someone with a good rep on Homestars (I know.. I should have done that in the first place - the company I first used got a terrible rating and Kevin's was lots of 10's) Anyway, Kevin showed up quickly, was generous with his time and honest. As he predicted it took some time, but Kevin visited often and kept trying different things until he got something that worked. He even came by without my calling just to see how things were going! He has gone above and beyond and it looks like the problem has been cleared up. Thanks Kevin.

Thank you very much for this great review. Sometimes it does take some time and effort to eliminate the pests. We always try our best to make each customer happy by giving the best service possible. About 95% of our jobs run quickly and smoothly. Thanks again, Kevin.
