We asked Dave to make several repairs to our foundation. Some were to prevent further water penetration in our basement and we also needed a repair to prevent a possible structural failure of the garage wall into the basement. Dave took the time to explain the available repair options, answered all of my many questions, and provided a detailed quote for the work. The repairs were well done and under budget. He and his team were polite, courteous, and true professionals in all aspects of their work. We took care of the urgent repairs last Fall so will definitely be in touch with Dave to book the remaining work for this year. Everything surpassed expectations and I would not hesitate in recommending Dave to anyone.

My home's garage had a foundation crack that required professional work. I contacted Dave Marcotte who was recommended to me from a neighbour who was very happy with Dave's work. The amazing foundation work was scheduled and completed in November 2014, as agreed to, and was on budget. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, honest, straight forward and reliable. Dave is the most professional contractor I've ever hired. High quality work and seamless coordination of sub contractors. I was impressed at how everyone showed up right on time, if not a little early. When we look at other projects at our home, Dave is now the first person I think of. In fact, we plan on using his company again this year. On time, on budget and nice people to deal with. A+++++

My wife and I recently bought a 60 year old home, and knew the basement waterproofing would be in need of an eventual repair. When we took down the drywall / insulation from a wall, we realized how badly it needed to be done. We received quotes from 6 different companies; while they all came within the same range, Dave seemed to be the far most knowledgable and encompassing. He did a complete walkthrough of the house, noting things that were currently an issue, possible future issues and things that were not an issue at all. He also provided various quotes and options on how to go about the job (s). We ended up choosing to do half the house (80 linear feet) and will do the remaining 80ft next year. In the lead up to the job, I was in contact with Dave, about additional work I would like to be done, at the same time as the waterproofing/ excavation. He was quick to point me in the proper direction ( ie. structural engineer for increased basement window, and window installation). During the job Dave kept a continuous watchful eye on his crew, who arrived promptly, and always did a full detailed clean at the end of each day. His crew was friendly, well mannered, and extremely work focused. Dave coordinated with other contractors, and they worked seamlessly together. Dave would also meet up, to discuss the days work and direction. The obstacles along the way, never became problems (tree removal / disposal, need of brand new sump pit, grading lawn, complete reinforcement of walls with new windows), and had a minimal effect on original estimate. We feel very fortunate, to have selected Dave and his crew. We will be using them again.

We had half the property foundation sealed by Dave Marcotte Foundations five years ago after noticing water coming in the basement. I have had no re-occurrence of the problem. We decided that we should have the rest of the property foundation sealed as a precaution. The work was done on schedule, to estimate an the site was left in a very clean and professional manner.

Dave fixed a bowed wall with a big horizontal crack extending almost all the way along one wall of the basement using Fortress Stabilizers. He also replaced a previously-installed platon and weeping tile along that same wall. The platon had been installed backwards (!) and the old weeping tile had been cut off when they had installed it (!), so the water didn't drain anywhere and, consequently, had been saturating the foundation wall behind the old panelling. To top it off, whoever had installed the previous platon had refilled next to the foundation with the clay that they had taken out. Dave fixed all of these problems. We now have a rock-solid wall, a properly installed platon, weeping tile that drains into an old sump hole with a backup valve that they installed, and clean gravel fill next to the foundation. Great job all around! I couldn't be happier with the job that Dave's company did. Dave diagnosed things well and clearly explained what our options were. His crew worked efficiently, getting the job done quickly with minimum inconvenience to us. Installing the Fortress Stabilizers took only a 1/2 day. Fixing the platon and weeping tile took just two days. I highly recommend Dave's company. Dave is ethical and very helpful. His company is thorough and efficient about their work. If we have a need for any foundation work in the future, I know who we will be calling.

I hired Dave Marcotte Foundations to do a complete excavation and waterproofing of my foundation. The quality of the work is extremely high. I hired a structural engineer to inspect the foundation in the middle of the job. He was impressed by the thoroughness of the job. Dave and his crew were also extremely helpful in answering questions along the way. Overall, I think it would be difficult to find a better foundation company in the Ottawa area.

In the Fall of 2013 we realized that we were in need of some foundation repair but did not know the extent of the problem. Dave came and assessed the situation for us and with the help of an engineering firm, We were able to locate the problem and Dave's quote and the solution proposed was incredibly reasonably and sound compared to all of the outrageous quotes and proposals that we received. We would not hesitate to call on Dave Marcotte again should the need arise.
