We contacted Dave in the Spring of 2014 to give us an estimate on repairing the foundation of our garage. We agreed on the scope of work and the price. It was our preference that the work be started in early October. In the first week of October, Dave & his crew showed up as promised. The sizeable project was carried out exactly as discussed months earlier and completed on schedule. Various supporting subcontractors Dave contacted showed up promptly - usually the same day and on occasion within minutes. Everyone involved performed their role in a very competent manner and the result was always top quality. Dave and his crew were both highly professional and very personable. We have been involved in a fair number of repair and renovation projects with a fair number of contractors over the years and it is without reservation that we can say this has been our best experience - ever.

Our 1950's bungalow had a cold storage under the front steps and over the years the concrete/block degraded and began to fall in inside. Cracks and wall issues started to appear. Figured it was time to do a facelift on the front steps, walkway, driveway and landscaping. I did the design and started calling companies to quote. On the foundation repair, Dave Marcotte was quick to answer and visit the site. Dave provided input into my designs to meet code, and provide a more pleasing finished product. His interest in my designs brought forward other ways he could help me attain the goals. Dave's price was not the lowest, nor was he immediately available as this was late summer and he had a lot booked already. His timetable did work into the schedule though as other aspects of the design were completed. Dave and his crew went to the extra effort to help me with what he could. His team were professional and took effort to reduce the impact of their work. Though I provided a way into the house that did not require removing their boots, they did every time. The work was heavier than originally thought as some of the buried parts were beyond expectation: Who knew that a sidewalk from the 50's would be 8 inches thick! Dave's knowledge and his teams work was outstanding and much more than I expected. Dave is personable and honest. What is, is. He will tell you the right way to do it and what is involved. I would hire Dave Marcotte again in an instant if I run into foundation issues again. While I am not a contractor, I have worked in construction trades in the past and am a very good DIY'er. I have knowledge of the work required and the various methods. I knew what I was asking for, and what to expect.

We found Dave and his guys very easy to work with. He gave us a no-nonsense quote, came when he said he'd come, and did an excellent job. We were very pleased with the result. Dave's staff were very good, kept the mess to a minimum and tidied up at the end of the job. We especially appreciated that Dave quoted us just for the work that was necessary and didn't try to over-engineer the solution.

After having four separate foundation companies flake on us a friend of mine recommended Dave Marcotte Foundations and boy am I ever glad she did! I e-mailed them at 11 oclock at night, Dave called me the next morning and my crack was fixed by Shane by 6 pm tha day. Dave explained everything to me over the phone and was upfront about what needed and didn't need to be done. It is so refreshing to deal with an honest and reliable company with excellent customer service! DMF is the only foundation company I will deal with and recommend from now on!

My wife and I are very pleased with the work performed by Dave Marcotte Foundations (DMF). Our renovation plans included the removal of a stone landing and steps and replacing them with a stone porch and steps. We contracted with DMF to waterproof the foundation. Unfortunately, we encountered delays regarding the start date. When I contacted Dave to advise him, he was very understanding and accommodating. More importantly, he made a suggestion to convert the space under the porch into a cold storage room. As a result, we contracted with DMF to construct this room and foundation. My wife and I are extremely delighted with the professionally-finished foundation/cold storage room! The waterproof work was also done to the same high standards. Dave is the type of individual who "goes the extra mile". Throughout the process he constantly made suggestions to correct existing deficiencies he uncovered. It is also important to note that Dave and his crew cleaned up the work site at the end of each day and returned a flagstone walkway to its original state at the end of the project. All of the workers are friendly, courteous and polite, qualities that our neighbours also observed. My wife and I have further renovation plans that will require the construction of another foundation/room and the waterproofing of same. We definitely intend to contract, once again, with DMF to perform the work.

I live in a 100 year old house and as you might expect, there are some foundation issues. After looking on home stars, i selected three top rated vendors on Homestars to give me a price. The location of the work was quite narrow due to the proximity of the property line. I disqualified one vendor immediately based on his poor attitude on the phone. Of the remaining two, i selected Dave Marcotte. Right from the first discussions through to project completion through to project completion Dave and his entire crew were professional, conscientious, skilled and diligent. The entire process was consultative and the work site was left safe and tidy every day. The end result was exactly as promised and all work was completed on time. i would have no hesitation to recommend Dave and his crew to anyone needing foundation work.

Dave and his team recently completed a window well excavation and repair and I am more than happy with the work. Dave quickly diagnosed the problem and efficiently arranged everything that needed to happen before starting the job. The crew was hard working and very professional. It was a pretty tough dig through clay, but they good-naturedly and competently got the job done. In addition, while digging out the window well, they noticed a problem with the flashing on the basement window and fixed it. I really appreciated that they went beyond the actual job by both noticing the problem and repairing it. They did an expert job on the new window well and I know I will not have to worry about water again. I would happily and highly recommend Dave Marcotte Foundations!

My house is 100 years old, with a stone rubble foundation. It was badly eroded along the back wall under my deck. Dave recommended I consult an engineer, which I did. I got four quotes, & his was most reasonable. Once I had the deck removed, the work started the next day! The excavation and repair work proceeded quickly and on schedule. They poured a new wall, & also parged the interior of the wall. The workers were efficient, and were respectful and nice in all my dealings with them. The entire job only took 3 days. I would not hesitate to recommend them!
