    Annual furnace cleaning & maintenance check

    The service technician failed to close a valve. This meant that every time the furnace turned on gas was blown into my house. I was out of the house for a few hours after the service call concluded and came home to the very strong smell of gas when I opened my front door. I called Button's and they could not advise on whether it was safe to stay inside the house or not. I ran through the house and opened all the windows and then decided to wait outside for the service technician. He arrived within the hour and confirmed it was their fault. When I called Button's to complain, the manager I spoke to argued with me that the house "was not full of gas". WRONG thing to say. I decided then and there to end my service contract with Button's.

After investigating this internally we have concluded we did, in fact, leave a very small leak by not closing a very small test port on your gas valve. It was also determined it was a very minute quantity and certainly not dangerous. While this is not something we like to hear about ever, it was remedied immediately when brought to our attention. We are sorry to see you go if still deem it appropriate to take your business elsewhere after many years of service.     Furnace

    Our furnace broke and they responded on a Saturday evening within seconda of contacting them on their website. Within 30 minutes Todd was on our house presenting us with our options. He also provided us with three electric heaters to keep our house warm until we could get it replaced. The crew arrived promptly at the appointmentioned time and we had heat in three hours. The old furnace was picked up within an hour. Friendly, prompt service.

    New A/C installation

    In late summer, my old air conditioner stopped working properly (coils were freezing over, turns out the existing unit was really low on refrigerant). First call was to Button's due to some wonderful customer service from a previous interaction years ago. Brandon came out, had a look, and talked me through a number of options - really appreciated his clarity and patience in walking me through it all. Landed on installing a new unit. Didn't feel pressured at all into this decision. Price was very fair. On installation day, Mike and Garrett came out and did their thing - they worked quickly and quietly. Once finished, they walked me through the new unit and shared some maintenance tip, etc. Job site was cleaned up perfectly - you'd never know that they'd been there. New unit has been working great, and I've had zero concerns or issues. Overall, a terrific experience. Would recommend to all - it's a no-brainer.

    Furnace repair

    Furnace wouldn’t click on in the morning, interior temp was cold, brrr. Found Buttons heating and air on our neighbourhood Facebook group. Called Todd, he was able to come by within the hour, explained and fixed the problem and heat was on before we knew it. Good guy, great knowledgeable service, thanks Button’s.

    Furnace, A/C and humidifier install

    Buttons was amazing from start to finish. We had Buttons over for a noise we heard in the furnace and with further inspection they found a crack in the heat exchange along with the motor that was on it's way out hence the noise. Our furnace had to be shut down due to the crack but Todd was so nice he gave us space heaters to keep us warm and gave us some time to think about our options. In the end we ended up choosing Buttons to purchase the Furnace, A/C and humidifier. We have not had A/C for years so this was exciting. He walked me though all the options and what would work best for our house. I felt like he listened to me was informative and not pushy. When it came to installation - Buttons did an amazing job installing everything. I was So impressed with the quality of workmanship and how much Buttons cleaned up the space with relocating the humidifier lines and water line. It has never looked so neat and tidy. I would highly recommend Button's. I first heard of them 20 years ago when my parents lived in Pickering and used them. Nice to know a company can last 20 years plus and still be a strong honest company.

    gas hot water tank replacement (emergency)

    Had an emergency as came back from travelling to find our rental hot water heater died. Wanted to get rid of the rental asap and buy new. Todd arranged his schedule to ensure prompt service, and was a star. Super efficient, responsive with exemplary customer service, and will be the first to call for any future HVAC issues or upgrades... (looking at new furnace now and will be sure to call Button Heating & Air Conditioning..). Thx guys.

    Furnace

    Clean, efficient, professional. Everything was well explained, all options given, and honest and wise advice shared to help us make the best decision. It is obvious that Burton's is a very professional company which staff that take pride in their work. I highly recommend Burton's.

    Furnace not working

    I called Button’s on a Sunday night because I had no heat and the house was very cold. Jeff was at my house within the hour and proceeded to run a diagnostic on the furnace and made the repairs , all the while explaining what he was doing. We were unsure if the furnace warranty was still in force and Jeff let the office know that it needed to be checked. I got a call the next morning to say that manufacturers warranty was indeed valid and only then did I pay for my portion of the service call.

    Furnace

    Our furnace stopped working. Todd was highly recommend by many people in our community. Todd came in and brought portable heaters which helped and he was patient in helping us understand our options. I was particularly impressed that Todd came in person to install our furnace on a Saturday because there were several jobs already booked. He also set up our thermoset settings for efficiency. We would highly recommend Button's Heating and Cooling.

    Highly recommended

    Don’t do any more research just call Button’s. Your going to spend a lot of money on a new furnace or AC so you might as well spend it with a trustworthy company that delivers high quality work. Todd is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to explain all of our options including pricing, efficiency and warranty. I never once felt pressured or mislead. Installation was a breeze, the crew was super tidy and respectful. Thanks Button’s!
