The service man was 2hrs late, he rushed through the camera inspection, left me with a bunch of unanswered questions and a quote for $9100 for the repair. More than that there were some things the serviceman said that raised some red flags for me, like... tree roots can grow through PVC pipe (no they can't) and that if it was his basement he would just cap off the only floor drain in the basement and not have one. (so what happens if there is a leak?)
That being said the service man was very nice but I was unhappy with the level of service and snap judgments.
I decided to call the next day and explain my concerns regarding the serviceman's performance. I was greeted by Melissa who immediately eased my tension about the service and offered to have another serviceman come the next day at no charge. Melissa explained to me that ExpressRooter's priority was to make sure I was happy and comfortable with the level of their service first and foremost.
I am truly impressed with Melissa's level of compassion and understanding. 10/10 for customer service.
when the second service man came out (Jamey) the next day. He took his time, asked me a bunch of questions, answered all of my questions and was very methodical in his approach to fixing the problem. Most importantly when he left i knew exactly what the problem was, how the system worked and he offered me a few different options for taking care of it.
ExpressRooter has a great reputation which makes me wonder why they would staff a serviceman like the first one i encountered. Maybe he was having an off day, Irregardless, do your research and be satisfied with your level of service before you shell out thousands of dollars.
