Had a leak in the hose connecting a hose from a water pipe to the humidifier for my furnace. 1) Repair guy came out and just taped over the hole. A week later, the tape gave out, and the hose leaked in the same spot and ruined my wall for a second time. The phone staff was helpful and understanding, and sent the same guy out free of charge to fix the problem. 2) Instead of replacing the hose however, this time he just shortened it. A month later the hose starts to crack and leak again and ruins my wall for a third time. 3) Called and requested a new repair guy to fix it, and while friendly, he just repeated the same fix as last time, and shortened the hose again. I did insist on him replaceing the hose (for the 3rd time) since it's old, however I was told that would be more work and would have to knock down the adjoining wall (even though I have had other people in to work in the same space without a problem). To update, the owner of the company came out and inspected, and then returned a week later to actually replace the hose properly as should have been done in the first place. He said he would make sure his employees would follow this procedure in future. Overall, I am pleased with the work as it stands now. Just wish the initial workers had followed my request. The president said he would personally address any future problems if any.

We had a blocked drain in our basement and called ExpressRooter because of their reputation for work on Holmes on Homes. From our initial conversation with Melissa in the office early in the morning, to Rob's diagnosis and estimate a couple of hours later, to the work the guys did later that afternoon, digging into our basement floor, replacing the portion of the drain that was clogged with tree roots, and sealing and cleaning everything up, the team was very efficient, courteous, and professional. I'd recommend ExpressRooter and would contact them again for any drain/plumbing work.

Called ExpressRooter for the backup of water in the basement shower drain as ExpressRooter are the official contractor for "Holmes on Homes". Rob was quick in responding and finished the job within 20 minutes. Superb customer service and Rob is very knowledgable.

I decided it was time to upgrade my old water tank to a tankless unit.I gave a call to Express Rooter Plumbing on a recommendation from my brother. He had the work done a year ago. Called them up. Made an appointment to have them come by for a look at my plumbing setup and the work needed to be done. Martin came by in the evening a couple of days later. We discussed what I wanted,what I needed and what I will need for the future as I have 2 kids. Martin was very informative. He did not push anything on me. Gave me all the info I needed and said that he would email me a quote. The quote arrived 2 days later I agreed to the work and they arrived a week later to start. A very professional job. Martin and his partner were here for a full day doing the install. Everything outside the work area was covered in plastic to protect them from the dust from the drilling. The room where the unit was installed was cleaner after the work then it was before they started. The next day Northwood heating came by to do the gas line and install a new humidifier for my furnace. After they were done all is great. I even received a couple of follow up calls to make sure that all was good. The only problem is how to get my teenage son out of the shower now that the hot water will never run out. Awesome job done by great people who really care about the customer.

I got lucky the day after the coldest night of the year (Jan 13/14). Jeremy was a available to come to diagnose a possible split pipe caused by freezing. And he arrived as promised within half an hour of my phoning!! Fantastic! He was very pleasant, offered to remove his boots and knew what he was doing. It was not in fact a plumbing problem so he couldn't help. But... he didn't produce a flashlight when he went to the basement and I was charged $125 for a diagnosis which gave me a bit of sticker shock as they have a padlock in their name (one of the reasons I chose them).

I needed my clay sewer line and cast iron stack replaced in my 100-year old house after I noticed water in the basement. I contacted ExpressRooter since they had just completed work on my brother's basement. Martin inspected my problem, and gave me a very thorough explanation of the work that needed to be done and potential repair expense. I agreed to the work, and he had a crew come to the house the next day to replace the cast iron stack with ABS pipe. Upon inspection of the sewer line with the video snake, Martin showed me that my clay sewer line was completely clogged with tree roots and cracked in some places. So I agreed to have the entire line replaced. Martin had a crew come the following day to replace my sewer line, which involved the crew digging out the old line by hand on their knees and replacing it with new PVC pipe. I have a crawl space with 3 feet of headroom and less in some places. They also manually dug 2 holes in my front yard to access the sewer line. The crew arrived on time each day, completed the work much faster than I anticipated, and thoroughly cleaned all work areas after each job. You cannot tell that any work was done in the front yard other than the new cleanouts. Martin came at the end of the day to show and explain to me everything that was done. I was extremely impressed by the work. I will have to admit I was shocked at the final bill. But I realized the work was not a simple job given the logistics of the sewer line in my old house. I did receive a $2000 rebate from the City of Toronto making the final bill $14,000. I would highly recommend ExpressRooter to anyone who requires plumbing work.

I needed a new shut off valve installed right away, and Express Rooter delivered! They arrived within 1hr. of my call and fixed the problem right away for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend these guys!

With less than one hour before 25 guests arrived for a birthday celebration we had water/sewage backing up through our drain in the basement electical room. After calling several (so called 24 hour emergency services) we called ExpressRooter and they guaranteed a service call that evening. Martin arrived 2 hours later during the dinner. He was discreet and extremely professional and had the problem solved in a very short time, with the promise of a follow up call to do a more thorough job in a few days. We were impressed with ExpressRooter as a company and especially the quality of the consultant that came to the house.
