    Windows and Doors

    Clera provided the worst customer experience I have heard of: errors, poor estimates, rude and aggressive, late, non-responsive, and non-apologetic. We got quotes from a number of companies and went with Clera based on price and some online reviews. The salesman, Muneeb followed up with us regularly while trying to make the sale. Once the sale was made he actively avoided my calls. He had given an estimate of 6-8 weeks for installation but that was 6 months ago. Installation happened 10 weeks late and 2 of the windows were wrong. While awaiting installation I would follow-up on average 4-5 times before I'd get a response from Muneeb. He told us the product was ready for install 3 times and we would set dates, make arrangements with work, and each time he would delay install further as the windows weren't actually ready. Multiple times I would call Muneeb from my phone # and it would go unanswered. Twice I called right away from a different number (e.g. my co-worker's) and he picked up immediately. When I got upset and called him out on the fact that he was deliberately screening my calls he reacted by hanging up on me and sending a completely unprofessional email and even called me trailer trash. Throughout this ordeal I've contacted Diana - she did not respond to my email. I tried to escalate the situation, I even left messages for the owner - Steve, but never heard back from him. I contacted Raj - the VP Sales, he called me a few times the week before the install to confirm it was taking place - this was the 3rd scheduled install date, 16 weeks from the order date. The windows were installed and two of them were wrong. The lead installer, Alex, showed us his drawings which were correct; however, Muneeb had input the wrong specs for the order. Raj promised the correct windows would be rush ordered and done in 2-3 weeks. 7 weeks later we have 1 of the windows corrected but Muneeb made ANOTHER error with the order. I didn't realize this level of incompetence was possible. My husband finally followed up one last time and the last window was installed correctly after 7 months of dealing with this company (remember the initial estimate was 6-8 weeks). They never once provided us with updated estimates or notified us of potential delays. We were given excuses and met with aggression when trying to resolve their mistakes. No one has apologized or taken ownership for any of the delays, errors, or poor service provided.

    Great service and products and a pleasure to work with

    We are happy we chose Clera windows to replace all of our windows ( 10 in total including a very big front window). Greg was very helpful explaining the different options and answering any questions and concerns. Right after ordering the new windows Trevor came by to verify all the measurements and get an overview of the project. It was especially nice to know beforehand who would be coordinating the installation. Our windows were ready in the time frame we had been told. Greg not only knows the theory but also the practical side of window installation. He lend a helping hand on the first day to Trevor and his crew. Together they very efficiently took out all the old windows and put the new ones in in one day, while trying to keep the cold draft through the house to a minimum. Under Trevor's skillful guidance the crew finished the installation on the second day. We very much enjoy the clear view through our beautiful windows and the ease of operation. Thank you to the whole Clera crew.

    Patio door install

    The installation date fell on a day of snow. However installer dealt with all the issues from snow and water professionally and with no mess and a very clean area when completed.

    Doors and windows

    Very happy with the look of our windows and doors. Installers were polite and professional. Very patient answering questions and gave some great tips for keeping all working properly for many years. I would have given 5, but the person who came to give us quote didn't though my go over options and as a result. I don't have screens in couple windows and I would have liked better with.

    Basement window replacement

    The folks at Clera replaced four old, shoddy basement windows in our 1925 brick home. I'd called three companies in the Niagara region before settling on Clera, won over by their pricing (which was actually better, due to a sale) and their online reviews. Sure enough, they did a terrific job—so much so that a dude replacing our water meter asked who did them, because he's looking to replace his own and thought they looked great. My one complaint with Clera would be the time: they said the windows would take 6-8 weeks, which should have been done before Christmas. I ended up calling them mid-January after not hearing from them for 10 weeks, and they were installed two weeks after that. Since I ordered them at a busy time (beginning of November), I don't hold this against them, but if you're on a strict schedule (which we were not), it's worth considering.

    Front Door, Transom, and Sidelights Replacement

    We are happy with the quality of our door, transom, and sidelights. The colour is beautiful and came out very nice. Alex and his team were very professional and did an excellent installation. They started and finished on time the day of install, we're courteous and polite and cleaned up any mess at the end. Want to give credit to our sales rep. Muneeb for recommending the taller 95" door and multi point locking system as it is impressive and really makes the entrance look grand. We never would of thought of doing this on our own. 2 issues I need to mention. After finalizing our glass choice for the transom and sidelights (we selected a designer glass called "superline") was told few weeks later we could not have that particular glass because Clera could not manufacture glass sidelights in 95" size. We could only have sandblasted glass in 95". We are a bit disappointed. Second issue is we were told our door would be ready in 6-8 weeks, it ended up taking 16 weeks to be delivered. Overall I would recommend Clera Windows. They make quality windows and doors, just be aware it may take longer to get them to you.

    Kitchen and dining room windows

    Quick to respond to calls. On time. Nice product. Mark and Chase were well mannered, efficient, courteous and left the place clean. Alan, the Clera rep, was thoughtful,understanding, courteous and offered a lot of extra info and advice that was appreciated. A great crew that gets the job done. I will have them in again to do my patio door and living room window.

    Home renovation

    Wow, where to start? Very disappointed in the windows. Avoid the FM/Clera windows they won’t last.
