I've always had positive experiences with Hoerner Heating & Plumbing, so when my clean-out caps needed replacement, I called them up. Joe Reynolds was dispatched to handle my job, and I was not disappointed by his skill and efficiency. Joe was professional, polite and nice to deal with. He completed the job quickly and efficiently. Overall, Hoerner provides excellent customer service and value for its customers

We’ve used Hoerner a number of times now to service our boiler and radiators, and most recently to extend our gas line to hook up to a new gas stove. They have always come out in a timely manner, and everyone we’ve dealt with has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. In particular Lloyd, the technician who extended our gas line, went above and beyond to make sure the new stove fit properly into our cabinetry (really not even technically part of his job!) and made sure it was all operating properly and safely. Very happy with these guys and will continue to use them.

We have worked with Hoerner for both plumbing and HVAC issues in past which is what made this situation particularly painful. In short, we needed our toilet repaired and the Hoerner team member came on a Thursday to evaluate and then determined it could not be repaired. They then replaced it on the Friday. On Friday evening, we looked up at our dining room ceiling and saw a water stain that was wet at the time--right under the bathroom that was worked on. I assumed it was just a coincidence and booked a time to have this evaluated by Hoerner. However, over the weekend, it dried out even though we ran our shower and bathtub for over an hour each. They came out the following week and determined that there was no value in opening this up since there was no active leak. Since we have lived in the home for 7 years and the water appeared on the same day of the work, I asked about this but they told me it was just a coincidence. I even talked to the customer service manager who I had enjoyed talking to working through HVAC and plumbing issues--and she explained to me that these coincidences happen even if improbable. All to say, I went from being Hoerner's biggest fan to an ex-customer. I think the moral of the story for me and Hoerner is that they are a great company if all goes well--but the moment it does not, they will not take any responsibility. Just something to keep in mind. Edit--while the thing dried out, this is what we were left with and now will get repaired.

Our technicians, Nick and Joe did outstanding work on a difficult job. Dug up the floor, removed the blocked pipe and part of the main stack and replaced with modern parts/materials. The working area was very small. They managed to complete the work on schedule, with no damage to the surrounding walls. Cleanup was also very good. All things considered, they turned a potentially nasty situation into a positive experience.

Always outstanding work from Hoerner. The technician arrived promptly and explained to me what the problem was with my toilet and what she planned to do. Not only did she replace the necessary part but replaced another and made other adjustments so that it is now working much more efficiently. I can always count on Hoerner - they're the best!

Lloyd came to provide a service check of our furnace…he was fantastic! he was pleasant, worked diligently and gave our furnace and hot water rads the most thorough check and service that we have ever had. We will definitely keep going back to Hoerner for this service and we will definitely ask for Lloyd!!

Great job identifing and fixing the boiler. It was a Sunday but Nathaniel stayed on until the work is done. Thanks very much for the work. I will definitely recommend in the future.

Had an issue with the plumbing for our bathroom sink and decided to replace all the taps, drain, and faucet. Nathaniel was prompt for the appointment, polite and provided a clear explanation of what was required and the expected cost. He completed the work promptly and completely to my satisfaction.

The seal in the toilet was gone and Claire replaced it. She was helpful and explained my options and helped me choose the right one for me. The service was very quick too.

We bought a new house but it did not have a gas line to the stove area. We bought a gas stove for a deal on Kijiji, and it sat in the family room while we awaited getting a gas hookup. I identified a local independent plumber/gasfitter with good reviews here and elsewhere, and he came by to assess, and subsequently sent me an estimate. I confirmed the project with him, whence he said he would come by the following week. Two weeks went by and he never showed up, called, texted, nothing. I found Hoerner with a similar search, and they booked me for a visit that week. I told the woman in the office that I was available for cancellation squeeze-in since I work from home. That worked out well, as they called last-minute to come the day before. Clare was friendly and knowledgeable and went around the house identifying the other gas appliances and calculating their load on the gas supply. I had the estimate in my email within minutes of her leaving. I called to book the job, and was fortunate, as they used what was originally my estimate timeslot to come back the next day and do the work. We are delighted with our new stove. When Clare was here I was working in the basement, and actually thought she had left when I heard her footsteps in the family room. I came upstairs to find her laying on the floor in front of the gas fireplace - which we had never figured out how to operate. She lit the pilot light for us and showed us how to control it with the thermostat. I had not even asked her for this favour and was very pleased for her help and impressed with her initiative.
