    Lawn care

    I have engaged Hometurf to look after lawn treatments for several years. I find them to be good in arranging treatments ahead of time (eg. getting me to unlock the gate, advising when and what chemicals they’ll be using). They have also responded quickly to my calls for additional services.

    Hometurf

    Recommended. Good service and result. This is the first year we have hired Hometurf as our lawn care provider. I appreciate the advance notice. The technician is careful and thorough.

    Lawn

    Not the cheapest, but the best I have had in many years. I'm in for the long haul. Who can kill all the dandelions anyway. Between them and me we killed them all. (mostly)

    Make sure they do the service they say they are doing

    I have been with Hometurf for years and up until now I have been satisfied...or so I thought. 1-2 months ago I happen to be reviewing my cameras for something when I noticed the technician arrived to do specific lawn service. Except he didn't do it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and called the company to let them know he must have "forgotten". They told me they would send someone back, which they did, except they never reminded me the day before so the gate was locked and they were unable to get in. Did they message to let me know? Not at all. I let it go as I did not have time to call. Yesterday they came to do the next scheduled services except again, they leave me notification that x has been completed yet I watched over my camera and it was NOT done. I call to complain and this time I am upset as they are clearly not doing the work they are supposed to do. It was not simply "forgotten". The first person I spoke to was empathetic and understanding and listened well. He was great. He then passed me to his manager "Desiree" and she was horrible. Cut me off every time I spoke. Made all kinds of excuses for the technician saying I had a dog and he was outside. I explained - I work from home, my dog was not outside when they arrived and when he was outside much later in the day I was with him the whole time. We notified this company we had a dog years ago. One time he was outside when they came and he ran out. Yet she tried to tell me they never knew we had a dog. She told me they do not notify us at the door if service was not done yet in the past when the gate was locked they did. Why the sudden change? Different rules for different technicians? I doubt it. Either way, this person does not know how to deal with upset customers. I have spoken to this person several times in the past and she is very pleasant to deal with if you are happy. But if you are upset she does not know how to listen or empathize at all. But this is not the worse part. She could have just had a bad day - or perhaps I triggered her with my tone and attitude since I was so upset. But not providing the service you paid for and then not being truthful about it is awful. I have the physical proof which I will be sending to them. Makes me wonder about all the service they say they provided in the past. Will never recommend them to anyone. And be warned if you use them - watch your cameras and make sure they do the work because if you let them - they will do a horrible job if they do it at all. I wonder if this is because I notified them that I would be cancelling at the end of this season due to us moving? Either way - bad service!

    Lawn care

    Mother Nature is playing havoc on the lawns in our neighbourhood this summer however Hometurf continues to provide great service with friendly staff, the last application they applied we hardly knew they had come and gone so efficiently.

    Low integrity company - Save yourself any grief- Avoid them

    Been using this company for many years. Generally was pleased until this year when I tried their patio weed control service. The second recorded application didn’t actually happen as I was in the home the day the came. No attempt to make amends and come out again ASAP. When I called to to complain, again no attempt to appease me just a ‘ we’ll send your cancellation receipt now. I’m a professional and my conversation was civil and to the point . This poor customer is all on them. Stay away from Hometurf. I half expected a call back to apologize for their failure to keep me as a customer. No such luck. Ironic since I’d praised them in previous years online.

    Great Service from Hometurf

    Wonderful service, really helped with our weed problem.The cost is well worth it. The workers even made sure they closed our sideyard gate properly when they found out we have a dog that could get out if the gate was not fully closed. We have used them at 2 houses so far.

    Lawn Care service

    Great results so far again this year. Glad they were able to get back out after Covid-19. Weeds were gone after first treatment. Outstanding service as usual. Highly recommend them.

    Damage my gate opener twice

    I ordered their complete service last year and renewed it this year. The first year is hit and miss. The weeds are just partially controlled and my lawn is not really improving. Those workers they hired do not really care about my property. They don’t know how to open my gate and just yank it open. My lock got damaged and I need to get my contractor to fix it last year. I filed a complaint and at least they apologize. I gave them another chance by renewing this year. I am more careful and actually open the lock for them before they come. This time I never got their call (even after double check my call history) and worked came at 7:30am. Again they yanked at my lock and it got partially damaged. I got a hold of the worker and he gave me an attitude saying that he does not see the damage. I sent an email to Hometurf. This time an agent called Samantha called back and insisted that they called me. She did not even mention or apologize for anything about the damage. This is very disappointing as I paid by service but I got attitude. On a side note, when they asked me to renew, they said I will get 10% off from the price if I renew. I later found out that the price I paid (included 10%) is the same as the price if I signed up as a new customer. I considered this a dishonest business practice.

    Lawn Care

    I am very happy with Hometurf Lawn Care service. They are easy to do business with. Their staff and professional and courteous. The price is comparable with other firms and my lawn looks good.
