After researching Homestars, I decided to go with New Canadian Drain and Plumbing. In October 2010, I needed to replace a seized shut-off water valve for an outside tape. Khem was sent to complete the work. Due to weather conditions, Khem was 2 hrs late but their customer service kept me informed at regular intervals of his expected arrival time. A 90 degree ball valve was installed to replace the seized valve and while completing this work, we also asked him to install a second 90 degree ball valve located after the main line water shut off valve since it was very difficult to access behind the furnace. Although we felt that the job cost more than it should ($400.00), the quality of work was excellent and Khem ensured that there were no leaks and cleaned to work area thoroughly. In January 2011, I found a leak from my kitchen sink the hard way...it leaked into my basement ceiling requiring replacement of the drywall. I called New Canadian Drain again and asked specifically for Khem. He arrived at the time specified, made the necessary repairs to the kitchen drain and also added extra support to the plumbing/drain lines in the basement to ensure that the issue would not occur again. Khem tested the sink and lines repeatedly to ensure there were no leaks and thoroughly cleaned the work area. Another quality job at a cost of $250.00. For any future plumbing emergencies or plumbing projects, I will continue to use New Canadian Drain and Plumbing.
