    Dripping Tap

I called Priority Plumbing today because I had a dripping bathroom faucet. They were very courteous and professional. Their technician Steven suggested that due to the age and model of the faucet that we install a new one. The new faucet looks great. When I plan on renovating the kitchen, I will be using Priority Plumbing to do so.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Mike, Sometimes it is cost effective to replace instead of repair when a faucet is a certain age. Other factors to consider besides function are, style, condition of the finish and name brand. Now you have a new faucet with a 5 year "drip free" warranty by us, so you'll enjoy years of trouble free use and a shinier more attractive model too. Thank you for choosing Piority Plumbing and for sharing your experience.

    No Heat in Radiators

I called Priority Plumbing yesterday because I had no heat coming from my radiators in my house. Steven showed up on time and was very knowledgeable and professional he put drop cloths down so he could protect my floors and cleaned up very thoroughly, which was very important to me. It took all day to get all of the radiators up and running, but now we have heat in our house again. My family and I are very grateful to Steven and Priority Plumbing and we will be using them again in the future if we have any other plumbing issues.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Craig, Heating problems in the winter are more than just inconvenient, they can be very destructive. Water lines can burst and families can be displaced for a day or two. We have seen it all. It is through experience that we are able to help our customers quickly and efficiently. As for protecting your floors in the process, that is what seperates us from other plumbing companies. Thanks for choosing Priority Plumbing.

    Full Home Reno

It's been 2 years since our nightmare with Priority, and it scares me to know that they are still in business. We approached 4 plumbing companies to do a full job on a home reno - plumbing and new rad lines. Priority quoted us 10k, was friendly and seemingly knowledgeable. They started soon afterwards using flexpipe (recommended as a cost effective solution) for the rad lines. That day I was a little troubled when I found the guy was reading what looked to me like a plumbing instruction booklet. When I went in the house, I was shocked to notice they had drilled a hole so big in a 2x10 ceiling joist that it had to be replaced. I called the office and they said that the employee that cut the hole was no longer with them. Also turns out that the guy reading the instructions didn't know what he was doing either! I was told that he too was no longer with the company. Finally a third guy, while soldering, melted our electrical to the stove. And said nothing about it! We noticed it and called the office.... once again, the employee is no longer working for Priority. The 1 month job turned into 3... In the end, they had to call in their dad [Company Name Removed - ed] - seriously! - and have him and his guys come to the house and fix the mess they made. At this point, they were very apologetic, helpful and willing to fix all the mistakes they made - we would only be charged material costs. (ps: I would recommend [company name removed--ed] if they were not related.) However they tried to charge us another 18k!!!! We refused, asked them to send us a detailed materials list - they did, and that's when we noticed that they were charging us a markup that would make you laugh. We went to Nobletrade(their suppliers) and were quoted 4k in materials. Priority told us they can charge whatever they want to charge for the price of a 10 cent washer. In the end, we resolved the matter by paying the 10k quote + the additional 4k in supplies + a meeting with our lawyer and seemlingly they were happy with that. Read the negative reviews to get a sense of what kind of company they are. Logically it's the only reviews you can trust.

Hello George, I remember you only because this is the only time in the history of our company that something like this has ever come close to happening. Some of what you claim is true but for the most part it is not accurate. It is true that the technician who started the work made some mistakes. At that exact time that he started your job, unfortunately his wife left him with their three year old son and moved out of the province. After that, he was battling depression and was slowly spiraling downward. We had no idea of this until after the damage was done and he had a nervous breakdown. From a customer perspective, I don't expect you to care about any of this nor do I blame you for being upset. We certainly are not happy with what occurred. I am merely saying no company would have been able to account for this. I think it is important to focus on what we did to rectify the situation, after the situation occurred. Just as you state, we paid for any damage; we fulfilled our obligation to you and completed the work even though we lost thousands of dollars in the process. I think this says a lot about our company. In defense of the other technician, it is the right thing to do for any technician to read the manual for a piece of heating equipment he or she is installing, especially if we do not supply it. This is taught in trade school and any licensed contractor will tell you this. You should be worried if they don’t. So if this is the case, why would you comment on it like it was a bad thing? It is a false claim that we tried to charge you extra for anything included in the initial agreement but rather the contrary. After you found out that our technician is no longer employed here, you began claiming that our technician told you he promised to do things that were not in the agreement because you knew he was not around to defend it. At first it started out small and we did many freebees for you to make things right for you, even though we knew you were making it up. We never mentioned anything to try to make you happy in lieu of the situation. You perceived this as incompetence and an opportunity to exploit the situation. You were mistaken. Your requests gradually and consistently grew larger. It wasn’t until you completely tried to take advantage of the situation that we had to put our foot down and quote you for the additional work that you kept requesting. You said that you hired us out of 4 contractors that you interviewed, so you must have found value in the price for the initial agreed upon work. I hardly think that completely re-piping your house for $10,000 with $4000 worth of materials (Our cost) is un-reasonable. I never spoke to your lawyer and that is obviously because you never had any claim against us. If you did, I’m sure I would have heard from him or her, and you would not have returned the radiators that you tried to swindle from us, back to our shop. After speaking to your lawyer, you would not have paid for anything you did not rightfully and lawfully owe us. Your testimonial is misleading and false for the most part. We did everything in our power to make you happy, we completed the job according to the agreement and then some. In the end, your job was completed competently at the fair price that was agreed upon and I’m sure your house is nice and warm this winter with no problems. Enjoy.

    Backed up Sewer

I called Priority Plumbing the other day because my laundry drain was backing up. Greg arrived on time, and wore booties to protect my new hardwood floor. He was very polite and professional throughout the entire visit and unclogged my drain within an hour. After showing me the issue which caused the problem using a drain camera, we opted to replace the entire line as to prevent this from happening again. They were able to start the much larger work immediately, completed the job quickly and left a very dirty jobsite spotless. I would suggest Priority Plumbing to anyone who needs a plumber.

    New Faucet Installes

I called Priority Plumbing yesterday because I finally got fed up with the dripping faucet in my bathroom. Steven arrived on time and was very polite and professional the whole time. He recommended that I change the faucet as it was an old faucet and would cost more than it was worth. I even managed to upgrade it so that the faucet finally matches the rest of the bathroom. He had the fixture in his truck and the ordeal was quick and painless. I would definitely recommend Priority to anyone who needs a plumber.

    New Main Water Line

I called Priority Plumbing a few days ago because I woke up to my basement flooding. Mike arrived within an hour and started to locate the problem. He was very polite and professional. Mike got a crew to start the same day, as we could not use our shower or washroom. It turns out that there was a broken pipe outside leading to the city lines. The job is now complete and I am extremely satisfied with the way the whole situation was handled. I would recommend Mike and Priority Plumbing to anyone who asked for a plumbing referral.

Kids toy flushed down the Toilet

I called Priority Plumbing today to unclog my toilet, my curious toddler had flushed his toy car down the toilet, and it was stuck. Jennifer was very professional and sympathetic about my problem. She dispatched Greg right away and he arrived on time. He wore booties so he wouldn’t track dirt into the house and he cleaned up afterwards. Greg was very professional, and polite, and explained all of my options to me up front before he started the work. In the end he had to remove the toilet to get the toy truck out. Priority Plumbing was excelent! I will definitely use them again if I need to call a plumber.
