Any time that we have had questions regarding our alarm SafeTech has been quick to respond. We have never had a problem reaching them and have always received polite customer service.

The security alarm was installed in my parents home to ensure their safety. I was very pleased with the service, from start to finish of this project. thank you SafeTech!

I got the alarm system for my house for extra security. Since the installation, i noticed people are more hesitant to approach the door. When I accidentally pressed the panic button, the Monitoring Station responded immediately. When the trouble signal occurred. SafeTech staff dealt with the issue promptly and efficiently.

Our studio needed security at the office. We decided to look around for companies that could offer security and SafeTech was the best option around. Since then, we have been pleased with the service!

SafeTech has by far the worst customer service from all the companies I have ever dealt with. Especially Sharon who is utterly rude and does not want to do anything for you as a customer, everything to her is POLICY. Beware that they will automatically renew your contract after the first 3 years and they will lock you in again for three more years without giving you any written notice nor give you a notice through a simple phone call. They say this was on the first agreement that you signed at install but beware again that the installer will not advise you about this, he will just rush you into signing the agreement without having the chance to read the whole thing. Throughout our the three years we've had their service, we've had about 2 false alarms and SafeTech only calls after 30 minutes to check if everything's ok, NOT ACCEPTABLE if it was a real break-in! They will also bombard you with emails asking for positive reviews here in HomeStars and bribe you with one free month of service once they've confirmed that you wrote a positive review, so don't trust that everyone here are really satisfied with their service. After having been their customer for over 3 years, they will do nothing to help you. What's worse, they will make you pay a switch over fee to transfer your existing account to new occupants of your house even if the service was continuous. Everything about them is how they can get money off from you. They even said that if the new owners will not take over the account, they will take off the entire system even if I have already paid for the system over the 3 years. I am so glad I don't have to deal with this company anymore. Avoid SafeTech at all costs! Go with anyone else except this company, they are not reliable and does not value customer loyalty.

Based on my experience and nightmare,I would highly recommend that you do not consider choosing Safetech Alarms. I have had Safetech install an alarm and surveillance system in Dec 2009 for my business in Oshawa. I paid a little over $3,000 for the video surveillance and $1,968 for the monthly monitoring. The video system was installed for the sole purpose of remote access to my business thru my I-phone - never materialized yet fully paid for. And, to add insult to the injury, I tested the monitoring and they never responded to the many alarms that I triggered to test their services. This means that they take your fees and never really provide a monitoring service, you are just paying for the noise! I now have Alarm force and they respond in less then 5 seconds of triggering the alarm. The equipment for video relay cost me $130 instead of over $3,000. I dealt with the President who never once returned my phone calls or responded to my emails!

I have had an alarm monitoring system for over 20 years by a large international firm. But I wanted to update the old hardwired system. The old company was going to update my system a bit for around 200$ and then charge about 45$ a month. A SafeTech technician reviewed and tested my system and told me that my hard wired system was functional but the system needed updating and a new pad, which would have cost me nothing. However, the technician recommended a new smoke detector which was over 20 years old, and extra motion detector for my second floor. I was grateful for this, as I always wanted this. The wiring was a major challenge and they were here for hours installing it. They also assured me that my cat will not trigger the system, and the techie was patiently testing my system while we were trying to lure the cat to jump and move. Yup. It worked fine and the cat did not trigger the system! I was so impressed that I decided to go for a wireless notification system via my smartphone, and I got a great price for this installation of this also. The three major changes and additions were well under 300$ one time cost. The best part: my monthly system is under 25$. My SafeTech rep always answers my emails immediately and I feel that I am in good hands.

I'm glad I chose SafeTech Alarm systems. They have good costumer service team, very friendly whenever I had questions they provided straight and sufficient answers. Would recommend them to other who need alarm system.

SafeTech has been with us from the day we opened our business in Canada. They came highly recommended by other tenants in the building and they have not disappointed us. They are proactive when there is an alert and have knowledgeable and patient tech support when needed. When we relocate in the new year, they will be the company I take along with me.
