Moving from Edmonton to Red Deer

Highly recommend this moving company. Stephanie in the office was always courteous, this is the first time we used a moving company so I had ALOT of questions and Stephanie was always helpful. Chris, Jeff and Jay moved our precious belongings from our storage unit in Edmonton to our new apartment in Red Deer. They are 3 very courteous and hard working young men. They arrived on time there was absolutely no damage to any of our "stuff". Thanks to everyone at Two Men and a Truck for making this move so very painless.

Tried to DOUBLE my bill. Overcharged. Under qualified.

Booked for 12:30 pm, arrived at 1:00 pm. They show up a half hour late for our booked time, charged me for the half hour they weren't there. The two did not work well together, neither knew how to maneuver items to get through doorways and I had to educate them. I had such a small amount of stuff, even with their ridiculous snail pace it only took 2 hours from the time they parked until they were loaded and ready to leave. I went downstairs a half hour after they were loaded and in the truck and found them still sitting there, when questioned they left quickly but I will add that they also charged me for that 30 minutes of just sitting there thinking I wouldn't notice. It's a 45 minute to 1 hour max drive doing the limit or less, from the apartment to my house north of the city. It took them 1.5 hours to arrive. AGAIN they charged me for the mysterious extra half hour it took them to get to the house. I know it's not uncommon for certain workers to milk the time since they're billing out by the hour... I was somewhat expecting slow and laid back movers. It was the 1.5 hours they added on top of my move time where they had just been sitting in the truck. When I called to complain, the "general manager" of this franchise with a thick accent named "George" took my statement said he would not charge for that extra time and would call me back... No call back, and he decided to bill me for the additional time anyway. I called again and George said there was nothing they would do. So this is the verdict: Even with the half hour sitting time, the half hour misplaced driving time, and the slow pace. From 1:00 pm start to 5:00 pm finish that came to 4 hours. It would have been 3 if the movers were actually moving. They tried charging me for 6 before they left, and settled at 5. They tried to DOUBLE my bill. They ended up overcharging me 2 hours in the end. I don't recommend this type of company for a moving service. Also, when the one guy was attempting to back the truck into the loading bay, he was standing between the concrete wall and the truck and no eye contact was being made. I had to scream to tell the truck to stop and when he did, the one mover was pinned between the truck and the wall and could barely slide out. Almost had a fatality, will be calling higher ups on this. Update: After contacting the VP, the quote was adjusted to the original estimate agreed upon before the move for 4.5hours within an hour. I was still overcharged, but at least I didn't have to pay more on top of the original overshot estimate. Thank you Chuck Resnik for handling this issue so professionally. I know the safety concerns will be investigated further as well.

move from a 1BR apartment to their storage facility

when trying to find a mover on short notice, i had dealt previously with two men and a truck -- in a non-move related matter -- so i called them and they were top notch. mike, the owner of the franchise, himself, came to do the quote. it was quick, and painless. on moving day, the guys showed up on time, with a 3 man crew -- tony, george, and baldwin -- and were highly professional, careful with my belongings, and courteous. frankly, a very sad day was made very smooth. while the cost was more than i was hoping to pay, i had left it too late, and in the end was very pleased with the guys, and the company, as well. i would definitely use them again, and probably have to, since they're the ones storing all my worldly goods! thanks, guys. your attention to detail was most appreciated. :-)

Daughters Residence 1 bedroom Move from Hamilton to Richmond Hill

Never book with a company that the clock ticks on everything they do and you pay for it. Have a coffee and cigarette..you pay Take 15 minutes to process payment..you pay The minimum booking was 4 hours and the estimated time was between 4-5 hours. It took just about an hour to load and unload but we were charged 4 hours for travel times and down times as shown above. When i complained about the amount i was charged i was told that by that evening i will have someone get back to me and i should get around 1 hour of credit back. After 1 week post move,5 phone calls,3 emails i was given a 15 minute credit..all of 30.00..If only i could charge them for my wasted time. Not everything in life goes as planned but surely i should have the right to at least speak to someone by phone to resolve my issues. As a person who has his own small business this was handled extremely poorly. To me what defines a good or great company is how they handle issues that come up..you either leave with a good opinion of the company if the issue was handled promptly and with respect or a bad taste that results in negative referrals. I've moved many many times before and will never ever move with a company whereby the cost is open ended.. The actual move was effecient, the front desk staff were excellent but their time management and customer service is a complete Fail.

    Cambridge location

The team that came to move us were amazing, professional and friendly. They did an outstanding job with every piece of furniture, and we had some very difficult pieces of furniture to move. This is the second time I've used two men and a truck and would never go with another company. All three men were fantastic, can't speak highly enough about them and the service from the very beginning of quotes, booking, and moving.

Thank you for the kind words, and for your business!

Send Too Small of A Truck- We Had to Rent Another Truck

Burlington Franchise - Came in initially with his iPad and software program to ensure the right size of truck for the move. Sent an undersized truck on moving day which appeared to be rented from Penske (not their own). We had to rent a truck so that they could complete the load and move all our items. They made all sorts of excuses why this happened. We ended up having to rent a truck and pay for the rental for out of town. Charged us for the hour or two it took to straighten out the issue. They only agreed to pay for the gas and driver. The personnel unloading were great but the experience leaves a bad taste. I wouldn't recommend them for the move for the for the aggrevation they put us through at the eleventh hour.

    Move in Toronto

They arrived on time, they were careful with my belongings, they were pleasant to deal with, they made a big move easy. I am so glad I went with two men and a truck. No regrets!

    Home move

Was quoted 1700 for one bedroom 1800sq ft house moving 5 mins away. 12 hours and a 2 hr lunch break later $2300 and attitude over the tip. Would not recommend to anyone unless you are interested in watching 3 grown men competeing for how slowly they can tape up and then untape your furniture

HORRIBLE SERVICE DO NOT MOVE WITH THEM

Broke two mirrors. Arrived late to our house. Horrendous attitude. Dented our decorations, and broke several decorations. The estimated price was surpassed by over 100$ due to their unpunctual and sloppy work. Would NOT recommend and will not move with them again.
