    Professional work with excellent service

    I rarely write reviews but skylights unlimited Worth's my vote. They did answer my questions patiently before sale and even contacted Velux couple of times to help my inquiry. They did actual measurement over roof before quote and came in finish the job on time. They even took pictures during installation as it's hard for us climbing over roof to check results. Highly recommended to anyone needs skylights works.

    new triple pane skylight

    Skylights Unlimited specializes in getting and installing new skylights. For our project, which involved replacing an old skylight with a new one, the work was done well; but the price was significantly higher than we expected.

    Two skylights over a stairway

    I had two very old gigantic skylights over my stairway that needed replacing. The heat in the summer upstairs was unbearable. I wanted to make the skylights smaller to a standard size and of course have better glass that protected against UV damage and heat . I called several companies and Skylights Unlimited was the only one that would do the work inside to make the opening smaller as well as outside. I didn't want to have to hire a separate company to rebuild the ceiling, insulate, and drywall, tape and paint. They did it all. My new skylights are beautiful and I look forward to testing them out next summer. Dennis was very accommodating, gave me a couple of ideas and options to choose from considering my space. The team that did the work did a very neat job and cleaned up when they were done. We had some scheduling issues, but it wasn't a big deal in my case.

    Skylight

    Skylight Replacement

    The team was very prompt to respond from initially inquiry all the way through to installation. They were thorough and insightful in their product recomendations and also very competitive in their pricing. The installation process was seamless. The install team was aware and respectful of the interior of the house (cleanliness, walking through house with appropriate footwear etc). The end result are two new skylights that look fantastic. Thank you!

    retrofit a new venting skylight

    Twelve years ago we had a fixed skylight installed when we bought our house; it was a big reno and we decided to economize at the time. The fixed skylight was fine and caused us no trouble but we finally decided to splurge and get a venting unit after 12 years in hopes of improving air conditioning performance on the second floor. Dennis quoted us a very fair price but most importantly, he showed up on time and in person to do so and spoke extremely knowledgeably and objectively about what we could expect for airflow, cooling, etc. He laid out all options from cheaper to more expensive and did not try to steer us in either direction. in fact we still took a month or so to decide while we continued to assess the performance of our aircon on the upper floor. We finally decided to go for it and got a Velux 24x48" solar-powered opener with rain sensor, timer and automatic shade which filters, but does not block all the light. the installation was done near the end of the hottest summer weather so next year will be a better test of air circulation but we can already tell it is going to be a huge improvement, and in the autumn it feels wonderful to have a little current of lovely fresh, cool air in the staircase (the unit sits over our stairs). As far as worksmanship is concerned, I was out when the job was done. When I got home that night you could not tell that anyone had ben in the house or on the roof; they did a fast and very professional job and left the place exactly as they had found it. Follow-up has been excellent (checking that we were happy) and operation to date is perfect. I was a little skeptical of a solar-powered motor (think of those solar-"powered" garden lights!!) but the motor has worked perfectly every time in all kinds of light conditions (and of course it works at night because the unit stores energy in a battery). So, Skylights Unlimited has two very happy customerrs in the Upper Beach neighbourhood of Toronto! I would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone who wants a quality job from a well-established, professional firm that stands behind its work and knows what it is doing.     Skylight replacement1500

    Skylights Unlimited was quick to respond to my request for quote to replace a leaky skylight. They came and assessed the situation, provided a quote, which I agreed to, and replaced it within two weeks. I was very satisfied with their communications throughout the whole process as well as the workmanship upon completion. Would definitely recommend them.

    Great Job!

    I had a leaking skylight over my son's bedroom. I was very pleased with the work done by Skylights Unlimited. They did a great job preparing the area and in cleaning up. I also received photos when the work was done. Nice to see a quality job!

    Three Skylights Installed

    Two cracked skylights and a third one that was leaking were replaced in September, 2016 on the flat rooftop of Carrot Commons on Danforth Avenue. The work was professionally handled in coordination with our staff. The craftsmanship was excellent as the crib around the leaking skylight was repaired before the new one was placed on top of it. I liked that the skylights were made in Canada and of the nine that we have on the roof these three are the most attractive.
