    Installation of a skylight in our front entry

    We are so pleased with our skylight. Our front room faces east and the porch roof blocks much of the light coming in. Denis (owner) came in for a quote and came up with a brilliant plan of creating a skylight "tunnel" through the porch roof. I am positive other companies wouldn't even have attempted this job.....love that Skylights Unlimited was up for the challenge and love the completed project. Great staff (company and installers). Yes, you can probably get skylight for cheaper but I think you'd be calling these guys anyway to fix the crappy work. You get what you pay for.

    Replacement of skylight

    I am very pleased with the work that Skylights Unlimited did for me, it is excellent workmanship and a real surprise. People told me that skylights always generate some problems but this one is perfect. A plus review! Thank you for keeping a good business ethic and an excellent product.

    Installation of skylight, blind & interior work

    Our old skylight was leaking and caused some damage inside our home. The quality and the skill of the workmanship was apparent from the first meeting with the owner Denis to the final stages of the work of the installation. It was a quality installation (caulking and painting , insulation, new fan, greater energy efficiency). The work was carried out with care, in a timely manner and respectful of our home and schedules. We are happy customers! Marilyn and Marty

    Replacement of four skylights

    We had Skylights Unlimited fix our leaking Skylights earlier this month, and it was a great pleasure to have their services. They were prompt, reasonable, and did a superb job - using the best of materials - on all of our needed repairs. What impressed us the most was their flexibility and their willingness to make other smaller repairs that also needed to be done, without ever pushing the matter - being only interested in doing what had to be done to finish the job properly. In particular, they included plastering damaged walls(at small extra cost) , which many roofing/skylight companies do not bother to do. I would give them the highest rating. Marcia from Casa Loma

    Replaced Skylight

    Very impressed with Skylights Unlimited - they were quick, gave my a reasonable quote and scheduled the work in a short window of time. Even when there were problems found with the previous skylight install (they hadn't properly framed it), they were able to repair the (pretty serious) problem at only a small extra cost.

Yes, the previous installers had framed the skylight incorrectly, causing damage to the wood around the skylight which we only detected once the singles were removed. We try our best to avoid additional costs once a contract is agreed upon, but sometimes a case like this comes up where extra work must be done to insure that you don’t have any more problems in the future.     Skylight Replacement

    I had a six year old 4x4 acrylic skylight from Artistic Domes that developed a four foot crack. After talking to the company and getting nowhere, since it was past the five year warranty, I decided to replace it with a Velux . I called Skylights Unlimited after finding their name on the Velux.ca website and Denis came by my house a few days later to give me a quote. He was a great to deal with, I felt he answered questions honestly and the quote was reasonable. I decided to go ahead and the install was done by the next week. The final result looked great and the install was clean. Their crew was courteous and showed up on time. Over all I was very pleased and will be calling them when my other acrylic skylight eventually fails.

    Skylight replacement

    Had an extremely low quality skylight installed by the original builder that let in great light, but did nothing to prevent the heat from coming in as well. So we went with an electric open energy efficient Velux and we couldn't be happier with the impact it has had on the heat coming into the house. Plus with the rain sensor, there are no worries about making sure we close it before leaving for the day. However, after having the skylight installed and electric hookup completed in early June, it was discovered that the integrated shade was not functioning / installed incorrectly. I'm not sure why Skylights Unlimited didn't come out themselves to investigate / resolve the problem, but instead I was directed to contact Velux customer service. After 5 weeks of having to call customer support each week, the issue has still had no action taken to resolve it. Being told 'We will be out there next week for sure' is just adding to the frustration and disappointed. If this issue had been handled with a minimum of professionalism 5 weeks ago, it would have been an easy 10 ranking. But instead I have to provide a very dissatisfied ranking until someone actually addresses this problem. UPDATE Seems that after posting this message, I received a few calls from Velux and Skylights Unlimited to address my problem. Had representatives from Velux come to the house, and in 15 minutes that had re-aligned the shade so it was installed and working correctly. Have everything working as it should have and am enjoying the ability to block out that bright early morning sunlight. Upgraded my ranking score as originally said, I was very happy with the skylight, it was the customer service experience issue to address the shade that was unacceptable (Shouldn't take over 5 weeks to finally get someone to come to the house to fix a problem that ultimately only needed 15mins to address)

    Hi BW, thanks for your feedback. We had tested the blind before leaving your home on the original install date and it was working without any problems. Also, once we heard that there was an issue with it we did, in fact come by to assess the problem with your blind when we were doing your neighbour’s job, but there was nothing we could do at the time. We contacted Velux about it several times and as it was a product issue, it was something that they needed to fix themselves. We’re sorry it took so long that it took someone from Velux to come out to fix the blind, as they have a stellar reputation and they’re usually quite good at keeping warranties & following through with repairs quickly. We will keep this incident in mind when dealing with all clients as we want to give each and every client the best work & service possible. Usually people are quite impressed with our level of customer service, but we take this review seriously and will work at improving.     Replacement of Skylight

    So far, I am pleased with the skylight that Skylights Unlimited installed. Despite the heavy rainfalls last spring season, I don't see any leakage. It does give me peace of mind, whenever a storm comes.

    Installation of Venting Skylight & Solar Black Out Blind

    I am very pleased with my skylight. I am sure to save on energy costs as the top floor is now cooler. The service was excellent, on time and courteous.

    Replacement of 2 skylights & repair of damaged interior

    We asked Skylights Unlimited to give us a quote to replace two damaged/leaky skylights. We had seen the company working on a neighbour's skylights, and the neighbour was happy with their services. Owner Denis Charron came promptly to give a quote. His explanation of the work required was remarkably clear and detailed. The work itself was done in a timely manner, workers were unobtrusive, cleaned up at the end. Denis Charron had told me that the new skylights would reduce the heat gain on the top floor of the house. Indeed, he is correct, we are pleasantly surprised at how much cooler the top floor of the house is even on a hot day. Denis' prediction about our AC working better after the new skylights now has come true!
