    Walkway and driveway repairs

The walkway to my house and the driveway were in a mess due to the severe winter. Stones on walkway were heaving and parts of driveway had chunks missing from it. Brad of A & A Masonry came to give me an estimate in less than 1 week after I phoned. And in super fast time of 5 days A & A's crew was on the job and in only 1 day repairs to my walkway and 2 sets of stairs were completed. Brad even arranged for caulking of the walk and driveway completed the very next day. The quality of the work was excellent and price was reasonable. Thanks Brad. I highly recommend this company for masonry and stone work.

    Foundation Refacing/Parging

Foundation was looking a little wary, cracks and crumbling on two sides of the house. I could use my fingers to break it away. Dwight from A&A Masonry showed up bright and early this morning to start the work. Very pleasant to talk to and had no problems with my questions. I wish I had before pics because I was so impressed with how it looked after. I am very happy with the finished job. It looks like a new foundation! Almost wish I asked for the other two sides to get done. When I need it, I will definitely call A&A Masonry back - and ask for Dwight again.

    Exterior Waterproofing

We hired A&A to address some water issues we had been experiencing in our old fieldstone foundation century home. This entailed carefully digging out the front and back by hand due to obstructions, repairing and parging the foundation, installing a waterproof exterior membrane and window well, then regrading. Communication was tremendous from start to finish and drove an ideal outcome. Scoping the work with Dan was a breeze, and Dominic (the foreman) was outstanding to work with - extremely knowledgeable and responsive and always mindful of both function and aesthetics. His team was skilled, conscientious, and professional; we were really quite impressed. In short, we couldn't be happier with the work or people - thanks A&A!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Nick! Unlike many companies, our waterproofing division can handle both masonry and waterproofing, which is especially valuable in dealing with those old foundations. --Andy

    Masonry

I had patio stairs built against my house, and it caused the brick behind it to rot and deteriorate. I called A&A Masonry based on their Homestars ranking, and wasn't disappointed. Quote was done via pictures / email, and an electronic agreement was presented to me. Because the job was not very big, no money down was required. I received a call within 1 week of the agreement to start the job, and within 2 more days, Dwight was out at the house, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing masonry work.

    Concrete Brick repair

A&A masonry offered outstanding service from the time I made the phone call into their offices. Dan provided me with a detailed quote for what had to be repaired along with some very positive suggestions for other minor repairs. All which were repaired much to my satisfaction. I was extremely impressed by the brick SME that came out to the house to complete the work. His name was Dwight. He completed the repairs in One day in which it rained, hailed and tried to snow, He stayed focused on the task at hand and completed the project like a champion. He cleaned up the mess and left the work site clean and clear of all debris. He checked the quote to make sure all components were completed from the list on the detailed quote. I have recommended this company to my neighbors to complete similar minor repairs that they have. Dan , Dwight, and Andy you all showed excellent customer service skills and were a pleasure to deal with. Many Thanks Brian Sikora

Thanks Brian! Dwight is constantly surprising me with how much work he can do as a one man band. The only reason he doesn't have a helper is that they slow him down! --Andy

    Waterproofing, Weeping Tile, Sump Pump

Look no further! We contacted A&A based on the amazing reviews on Homestars and we're happy we did. We had the pleasure of meeting Brad and he took the time to explain in detail the work that would be carried out and provided a realistic timeline. Within one week, the construction commenced with the wonderful construction team. Dominic and his crew Vlad, Alex & Eugene went over and beyond in terms of attention to detail, quality of work and overall great attitude they showed while working on this project. Dominic was instrumental in assisting with the installation of the sump pump. Along with the weeping tile, it works like a charm. He went as far as contacting us 2 weeks after the installation to follow up and ensure all is working well. Overall, the customer service A&A provided is far beyond what we expected. Thanks once again Andy, Brad, Dominic, Vlad, Alex & Eugene!

    Basement Walkout

Brad came to give me a quote, he let me know that I would need an engineer and connected me with one who charge very reasonable. Ultimately the job was too small for their company but he gave me advice after meeting me know they couldn't do the job that probably saved me $16 000 from what another mason recommended I do. It isn't often you meet someone who immediately seems totally trustworthy and puts your needs ahead of their own. Next time I need a mason he will be the only person I call.

Thanks Ryan! Brad is a straight shooter and a star on our team. --Andy

100 year old brick house reno

Called A&A for tuck pointing and to install new brick to match the 100 year old ones already there. Got several quotes that were all within around 10% of each other. Everyone we dealt with at A&A was friendly and knowledgeable. The quality of the word was fantastic and I plan on using them again for more projects at the house.

Thanks Sam! I'll pass this on to Ronaldo & his crew. --Andy

    Removal of a cold room

We bought our 1950s home almost 3yrs ago. We knew from day one that the old unused cold room needed attention but we kind of ignored while dealing with other projects. It deteriorated further of course, Steve and crew at A&A did an excellent, tidy and timely job of removing the old porch, cold room, bricking in the doorway, waterproofing. They removed all debris from the property, very happy with the outcome!

Thanks Brad! I'll pass this on to Steve. --Andy

Waterproofing cold room & window well, window ledge masonry

Initially looking for masonry work for window ledge. Then discovered mould & wet in the cold room on the plywood walls. I realized that A&A could handle both. Read the reviews on Homestars & based on that, gave them a call. Initially Brad came out & explained that due to the size of the room & the damage, the waterproofing could be done from inside. Dominic & his crew were great. They worked efficiently & quickly. Waterproofed the room and window well (unrelated) and installed a sump pump. Finally Dom replaced the window ledge. He is very personable & explained what was being done. Each day any mess was cleaned up. I would definitely recommend A&A, Dom and crew and will use them again if anything else occurs.
