    Weeping tile and sub pump

I had a leak in my basement and mould was setting in so I looked up A&A online. They had great reviews and came out for an estimate the next day. The following week they started. These Irish Boys know what they are doing. Great work, clean, fast and on budget. Highly recommend Brad and his Irish crew...

Thanks Peter! I'll pass this on to Brad & Dominic. --Andy

    Replace Double Garage Floor

A&A Masonry replaced my broken garage floor. The hard part is removing the old floor with jack hammers. A&A Masonry staff were at all times courteous, very careful, and kept the worksite clean. The new floor (reinforced 6 inches thick) is perfectly angled and flat. Summary - A&A know the science of concrete. We will use them again for additional work.

Thanks John! I'll pass this on to the crew. --Andy

Replace all brick on front of house

We are completely renovating a 2nd Empire Victorian home. The brick on the front of the house was badly damaged and could not be saved. Marc responded quickly with a quote for the job, including heritage bricks, proper mortar, and a well experienced bricklayer (Moses). Our house is in a row of 5 and it was vital that the brickwork pattern be the same as on the other 4 houses. Moses did a great job of matching the pattern. We are very happy with the result!!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Kevin! Moses did a hell of a job restoring your beautiful Victorian home. That's real old style brick laying. --Andy

    Tuck & Point Bricks

We recently purchased an 80+ year old home that was in need of some masonry work. We selected A&A Masonry for the job. We scheduled a date for the work, they showed up on time, were professional, did a great job. It was clear that everyone we dealt with at A&A cared about the quality of the work they delivered and making sure we were happy with the final product. It was a pleasure dealing with them. There would be no hesitation, on my part, to call them again in the future.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks AP. I'll pass this on to Joe & Kyle, who did your job, and Marc who did the original inspection. --Andy

    Repairing bricks under windows

I had my bricks under my windows replaced/ repaired this morning. Dwight arrived on time and completed his work quickly and neatly which says a lot because of the awkward placement of these windows. Would certainly recommend to friends and family.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Marina! I'm always looking for tradesmen who solve problems rather than create them. Dwight is a perfect example of a problem solver! --Andy

    Waterproofing

Hired A&A after a quote from Brad on an exterior waterproofing job that a previous contractor had left half way. The 100yr old walls needed some serious rebuilding / parging, new weeping tile, and a sump pump installed inside. Dominic led the work and did an excellent job. He took pride in his work and was happy to walk me through any critical decisions along the way. He was also very responsive to my requests and kept the job site very clean (critical as we share the driveway with me neighbour). Zero complaints and I actually believe A&A will stand by the work if I have any follow-up problems/issues. Tough to find guys like this in the city so hire them if you can.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Simon! We are very lucky to have found Dominic. There's really nothing in the way of waterproofing or masonry he can't deal with. --Andy

Replaced bricks on side of garage

Diligent, hard workers. Dwight and his colleague Tyrone arrived 1/2 hour early and worked til well past sunset to finish. They took a very short lunch and no breaks throughout the day Many bricks on side of garage had turned to powder when I removed a climbing vine planted by previous owner. Job was well done and the replaced bricks fit in well with the old ones. Perhaps it was because it was so late, or maybe they didn't have one - it would have been nice to have a vacuum to pick up the red dust and small pieces of old brick from the ground at the base of the wall. Andy was very accommodating in giving me a day when I would be home. A job well done.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Marie! When I call Dwight during the day I can hear his trowel scraping away. He doesn't stop working even to talk on the phone! --Andy

    Regrouting our flagstone porch

So very pleased with A&A! Our flagstone porch needed to have the old grout removed and new mortar laid. Dan was responsive and honest throughout the quoting process. We've done a lot of work to our home - inside and out - and chose A&A because we believe in doing the job right the first time around. We are not disappointed! Kyle and Joe were terrific. They worked very hard and did a wonderful job in a timely manner. A&A stuck to the quote they gave us, although the amount of work that needed to be done turned out to be more than they originally thought it would be. Great work - lots of attention to detail and not cutting corners; kept the mess to a minimum during the project. Would not hesitate to recommend A&A and will be calling them when our chimneys need to be done in a few years!
