    Concrete work

The initial sales service I have mixed feelings - was great but felt could have been better in between. Bryton and his guys were exceptionally amazing in getting the work done . Very polite workers, for sure. Been along time since I have seen a bunch of dedicated workers. There were some minor touch ups that I felt wasn't completed but Bryton came back and completed it without a single fuss.Thank you

Chimney Re-Build, Tuck Pointing, and Parging

Thanks to the reviews on this site, we hired A&A Masonry to do all the brickwork needed on our newly purchased home. We found the sales rep, Brad, to be really personable and great at explaining the work needed. He also gave a detailed quote. The crew who came did excellent work. The two reasons I'm giving a nine rather than a ten are concerning scheduling and clean-up. I had initially spoken to Andy who said he'd be back in touch around scheduling. A couple of days later he called me at 7 p.m. one evening, saying the crew would be at our house the next morning. ?! It was too short-notice and we finally agreed on the day after. As for cleanup, the crew knew we were getting our patio stones re-laid and I was fine with them not doing a thorough clean of the patio. They also had to avoid some areas that they had parged. But the areas they could have cleaned up, were left quite dusty, with mortar debris. However, overall, I would still recommend A&A Masonry.

    Answer from pro:

Sorry I upset you with fast scheduling. My experience has been that most people are pleasantly surprised with how quick we are to arrive. The crew who left the mess will be disciplined. And they will come back to do any necessary cleaning. We do not tolerate poor cleanup!--Andy

    Exterior brickwork

After reading the great reviews on Homestars, I called A&A Masonry to replace some bricks and repair the joints between bricks due to the settling of the house. Marc Catalano came by and explained what would be done and the cost. On the day of repair, two masons (Joe and Kyle) showed up on time and did an excellent job of repairing the bricks and joints. Joe also explained what they were doing and noticed that a downspout was not properly attached causing the bricks to get wet. The downspout was attached without extra charge. I am very pleased with the work that was done and add that the excellent reputation of A&A Masonry on Homestars is well deserved.

Thanks Victor! That's my boy! (Joe is my son) He'll be running the place soon. --Andy

Put in new sill, brick in existing window and tuck pointing.

Daryl and his crew did a fantastic job on our house. Completing what could have been a two day job in one full day. The guys were able to seamlessly brick in an existing window, insert a limestone sill and tuck point several areas of our house. The work was top notch, I would certainly recommend to all.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Dan! We are happy to have Daryl and his crew back. They are highly experiences masons who can handle the toughest of jobs. --Andy

    Side stair repair.

I used A&A Masonry to repair stonework at the side of my stairs that had degraded over the years - A&A came to quote, booked the service and made the repairs all in 3 weeks. The guys who did the work were GREAT (Ron & Ras). They explained everything and answered all my questions, repaired the damage, made adjustments to prevent it from happening again and did an amazing clean up job. The job was expensive but I don't mind paying for quality work and the assurance that it is guaranteed. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Thanks Lisa! Rob & Raz do great work and are a welcome addition to the A&A team. --Andy

    Tuckpointing & Parging

A&A Masonry - Highly recommended. They responded quickly to my request for a quote and were able to perform the work shortly after. James and his crew were courteous, skilled and did a marvellous job. Their clean-up each night was exemplary (couldn't tell there was a job on-going). I would not hesitate to recommend James and his team and would gladly hire them again.

    Parging

We looked up A&A after hearing about them on CFRB and saw all the rave reviews online. Bill promptly called, visited our home & provided a quote. We had the foundation of our house re-parged on Aug 13. It took only a day for Dwight, the mason, to complete the job in the front, sides, and rear of the house. He did a really good job and cleaned up after his work was done. We would highly recommend him and A&A as well for great customer service! It is comforting to know that there are such professional companies who do an honest & thorough job.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Ms Tan! I'll pass this on to Dwight. He gets a lot of well-deserved appreciation, but he (and I) never grow tired of it! --Andy

    Replace brickwork around front staircase

From start to finish A & A Masonry were an amazing company. Bill (Sales) clearly knew what had to be done with our steps and explained it so that we could see and understand the route to go. Daryl (Mason) came to our house a few days early to asses the job and also took the time to answer all of our questions. Daryl and his crew (Quinton and Zachary) arrived Saturday morning and worked until late that evening completing the job. Throughout the day we had questions of curiosity and at no time did they mind answering them. They returned on Sunday to finsih clean up and ensure we were pleased with the job. The work done was to a very high professional standard. In addition, a number of our neighbours have commented on the great job . Daryl is such a calm, dedicated professional and went the extra mile to find a brick match to out 33 year old home. We are so happy we choose A & A for this work and thank them for sending Daryl our way. We would not hesitate to use A & A Masonry in the future. P and L in Oakville
