Having been unable to get the job done on the first visit as we didn't have the portable unit on that particular truck, it was a no brainer that we wouldn't be charging you to come out the second time. After the inspection it was determined that a cleaning wasn't required at the present time, just a few touch ups with the system here and there, and your good for a few years. Hey Sanjay, appreciate your kind words and glad you were happy with your decision in having us in your home. I must say I quite enjoyed cleaning out your dryer exhaust, as it was just packed with lint, which is why your wife was having problems with the clothes drying. As far as the ductwork goes, there was no reason to have the system cleaned at the present time as there was just nothing aside from a fine layer of dust scattered throughout the return, nothing that warranted a cleaning. Keep on top of filter maintenance, have the furnace itself cleaned, and you should be good for a few more years. It's funny that you have never read any reviews on other companies doing a pre system inspection only to determine cleaning isn't needed. I'm pretty sure that this will start happening just to further trick the customer into using their non-certified company. We are hired to perform numerous air duct cleanings, sometimes the work needs to be done, sometimes it doesn't. Being a NADCA certified company, we follow a strict code of ethics, and it is part of the standards to inspect a system before any work begins, not only to verify the job needs to be done, but to ensure there are no other challenges or problems within the HVAC system. Having the dryer done was more important that cleaning up the small amount of dust that was in the system (probably the same amount that would be back within a couple weeks) Glad that we were able to get everything that needed to be cleaned, clean. Seeing is believing and that is why we use a snake camera to run through the ductwork to make sure we have intact cleaned everything as best as possible.
