    Kitchen line backup

    Excellent work. Unplugged our kitchen drain. Very clear on what service was needed. The technician did a lot of explaining and advice around our concerns and this was very helpful. thanks

    HVAC maintenance

    Low air flow through ducts for A/C and general yearly maintenance. Ryan at The Gentlemen Plumbers (yes they also handle HVAC, not just plumbing) was great and handled everything. Ends up the A/C wasn't installed properly by the previous owner and he was able to fix it. Much better airflow now. Furnace needed some care and is good to go for another year. Great service and a great company to deal with.

    Replaced Fluid Master Pro 45 toilet fill valve

    Blair arrived promptly, found the problem and within a very short time, had taken care of it. Except for the fact that I had a working toilet again, I'd hardly know he'd been here. He was knowledgable, efficient and friendly and I would certainly recommend him. That's two of the staff so far: both Blair and Nick have been super!

    Bathroom Repair

    We had a toilet tank gasket fail and flood the bathroom and basement. Mike was exactly what we wanted in this situation - calm, competent and caring. He fixed all the problems he found, explained everything he was doing, and was great with curious kids watching what he was doing.

    Hot water tank

    Found leaking elbow at hot water tank so called for repair. Arrived next day at time quoted. Tank was 13 yrs old and elbow was hard to get at so agreed to replace tank,fix elbow,etc. Found exhaust/chimney was wrong type also (not safe as was not double walled so outside was hot). When removing from roof,,flashing ripped 3 shingles as last installer used about 20 nails and tons of tar,etc. So,,I had some spare shingles so not only did Dave change my tank,chimney,etc he also replaced the 3 shingles,sealed,etc. I dont think most plumbers would have gone to this level of making it right.Thx Dave.

    Water heater replacement

    Old hot water heater died. New one installed same day as diagnosis. Friendly, courteous service. No mess left behind. Easy to coordinate appointment. Not sure what more needs to be said.

    Amazing Service

    We had a leaking sewage stack. Janine, the receptionist was amazing to deal with. Not only was she very friendly and professional but she knew the process inside and out and could anticipate all my concerns. Nick came in to repair and made me comfortable about the whole process. It was done much quicker than I ever would have thought and everything was clean when he left. He did a full house inspection once he was done and found a few more problems. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I will be using them again

    toilet repair

    I had what I thought to be a leaking wax ring on a second floor toilet as there was a water stain on the ceiling of the floor below. I called The Gentlemen Plumbers. I assumed I was getting a time and materials plumber to solve my problem as I had in the past with other plumbers. As it turned out they bill by "activity" (my term) sort of like your auto mechanic using the book price for repairs. On inspection by the technician, he confirmed I indeed had an issue with the wax seal as the toilet had come loose from the flange. A ghost flushing problem was being caused by a crack in the overflow pipe and the shut off valve did not actually shut the water completely off. So, one problem was now correctly three. In my simple mind replacing the wax ring would be a $5.00 ring and 1 1/2 hour labor. Replacing the flush valve (overflow pipe) would be a $20.00 part and 1/2 hour labor and replacing the shut off valve and connector hose would be $30.00 in parts and 1/2 hour labor. I figured $55.00 for parts and $375.00 for labor (2 1/2 X $150.00 / hour). This is where the "activity" billing came in to play. They do not simply replace a faulty part like the over flow pipe or even the flush valve, it is a full tank refurbish even though my fill valve and flapper are only 2 months old. The toilet "lift and replace" to install the new wax ring and re-screw the flange to the floor, the tank "refurbish" and the new shut off valve were over $1,100.00. The technician, very appropriately, informed me that a new toilet would be cheaper. I went from my guesstimate of a couple hundred dollar wax seal replacement to the reality of a $900.00 total toilet replacement in a heart beat. Dispatch fee - 69.95, Shut off valve - 189.00, Toilet - $649.00 I am not unhappy with the work and the technician was great. I would have just liked to know the billing process beforehand as the price does seem a little excessive.

    Bathroom Faucet replacement

    The service rep did a phenomenal job in a timely manner. I will be calling again for any future work I need done in my residence.
