My kitchen sink was clogged..they came on time and fixed it. Jeff was very thourogh at figuring out where the problem was..He was also very neat and cleaned up the basement area he was working in perfectly. Very friendly and took the time to explain what he was doing and what the cost was before he did any work.

On arrival the technician was more interested in going through his company fixed pricing sheet than listening to me about what I thought the problem may be and getting to work diagnosing the problem. I experienced the same feeling over the phone booking the appointment where the person on the phone was more concerned about telling me their pricing method than booking the service and just informing me of their mimnimum call out fee and what it would include regarding my problem. Instead they wanted to tell me about their exrensive house plumbing check that was included in their call out fee. In short the work was done but I felt that I was being screwed price wise as I was constantly quoted price ahead of the diagnostic work being completed. At the end of it all the full house inspection included one last sale pitch for a drain clog treatment chemical at what I am sure is a at an inflated price Advice would be to show up concerned about diagnosing the problem the customer is concerned about ahead off presenting the price book listing a bunch of options that may or may not be needed

Sewer was backing up. They quickly assessed the issue, were very up front with costs and solved the issue thoroughly.

My main floor toilet was running all the time. I contacted the gentlemen plumber requesting there assistance. The person who took was initial call was very professional and provided great service. The technician assigned my project was very knowledgeable and explained the options for resolving the issues. While doing the work he ensured that the work area was clean. He also provided me with a overall assessment of my plumbing and heating and was able to advise me of potential issues.

The gentleman who attended was extremely courteous and professional and fixed the problem with no issues. The cost however is outrageous and extremely higher than the competition. I called ahead and asked for a price, I gave them the exact description of the job and the only fee they explained was the $70 visit fee. I assumed the price would be very similar to the other quotes I had gotten which were around $300. The gentleman showed up and explained the costs, which are a flat rate and could have been explained over the phone, and I was looking at over $550 on top of the $70 visit fee. Of course at this point I'm already out the initial fee and had left work to let this gentleman in and was in a hurry to get back so I didn't have much option other than pay the ridiculous price. This is definitely a well thought out scam. Definitely will not recommend to anyone else.

I’m writing thoroughly disappointed with my experience with The Gentlemen Plumbers. I want to start by bringing your attention to their website, which highlights ‘No Hidden Fees’ and ‘…straightforward pricing’ and warn you that this is a very big misrepresentation. I am embarrassed for them and to be honest, I don’t know how they get away with their astronomical pricing. They are cro*ks and the majority of their clients must be uninformed consumers with money to burn. I called a few plumbers in the city to get an idea of pricing and availability for a plumber to install a new kitchen faucet in my home. I had just purchased a new Moen faucet from Home Depot for $227.00. I got quotes from three companies. The first was from Pete the Plumber (also the biggest competitor to The Gentlemen Plumbers) Over the phone I was quoted the call-out fee of approx. $70 and $118/hour for the install/labour. Day and Knight Plumbing & Heating, a smaller company, charged a flat rate of $135, with no call-out fee, but they were not available for over a week with our conflicting schedules. Lastly, the Gentlemen Plumbers let me know that they charge a call-out fee of $69.95, and that they can’t quote the install over the phone but that they charge by the job and will quote onsite. They could get out to my place within a couple days so I booked them, thinking they would be approximately the same price as Pete the Plumber. This assumption was a mistake on my part. Two professional young gentlemen showed up at my place, they pulled out there laminated pricelist, and shared with me that the kitchen faucet install would be $340!!- in addition to the call-out fee. I was speechless. I immediately shared with them that that was more than double the other two companies that I’d called, and that this wasn’t going to happen. They both shared that they had heard this before and even recommended another plumbing company. When I asked them how long a job like this would take, they told me half an hour, worst case scenario, an hour. They charged me the call-out fee, which included a home inspection of my plumbing and heating and they were on their way. I ended up calling Day & Knight Plumbing back, and it was a no-fuss job; the install for my faucet took less than 25 minutes, from the time he walked in the door, to the time he handed me my receipt. Quick, professional, and a job well done. NOTE: I inquired with The Gentlemen Plumbers what the charge would have been if they had provided the faucet instead of me purchasing my own, to which they quoted over $600.00.

One joint was leaking and had to replace the configuration under the 2 kitchen sinks & garburator. Recommended line cleaner for fat buildup.

The guys did a great job and same day estimate and work done was a bonus.
