Reply created 5 Dec 2016Hello sir, I recall your situation, we have come to your home several times to see if the unit is cooling. When you call, we come, every time. We've been there 2 times since it was installed. Every time we arrive its working perfect, our gages are reading perfect sub-heat temperatures and we are getting 12 degrees of the coil - that is perfect cooling. The problem is - and you just admitted to it in your complaint - that you turn the AC off at night to save electricity!! You admitted this to our service technician during our first visit, and he advised you not to do that, but you continue to do so. When it is 40 degrees outside for 4 weeks straight, and you want to keep the home at 23 degrees, you cannot turn it off all night long. It allows all the heat and humidity to rush in and you're starting at ground zero every morning once again when you re-start the system. Ask any HVAC technician, you simply cannot achieve the temperature you want by shutting it off every day. Cooling does not work like that. We have been more than patient with you sir, we have sent our man out, at our expense every time knowing that nothing is wrong with the system. If the AC was broken or defective we would have corrected it immediately, but there is nothing to fix, its running perfect - when its running! Stop turning it off! Many of our staff have spoken to you and told you this very kindly and nicely sir. But that wasn't good enough, you still felt the need to call our office and be very rude and un-reasonable with my father, the owner of our company. He was simply trying to explain the cooling principles that you were not understanding and you were being very, very rude to us sir, we simply tried to end a conversation that was going no where. We are not rude people, we are wonderful people and we do not run away from service issues, but you do not have an AC problem, you have a listening problem. Keep the AC on please sir. Do you turn your furnace off at night in the winter? I know electricity is expensive, but that doesn't mean our product is bad, it means you don't want to pay to use it. And the TSSA is more than welcome to see our job, we do all work to all codes for 50 years. We even offered to send the MFG to see you, knowing there is nothing wrong with it - but instead you chose to slander us on home stars.
Reply created 12 Jul 2016Hi Steve, thanks for this review. Our apologies, in the late response, we missed a few reviews. I appreciate your feedback, you had a high velocity system which is very tricky and your duct system was not properly installed to begin with, which is why your previous AC didn't work well. Roop, our resident high velocity expert did an amazing job fixing up the duct work and getting the new AC system working well. We are proud to have him on staff now for 25 years! I hope you enjoy your system and don't forget to change your furnace filter often, that high velocity type of heating system really needs it. Take care Steve, Marnie Amodeo
