    Poor customer service and warranty performance

    EcoTech installed 11 windows in our home in March 2021. Immediately after installation, we contacted EcoTech to report damage to 3 window screens that were installed. 9 months later, and after 3 service appointments where Ecotech failed to show up, these have still not been repaired despite repeated calls to EcoTech and assurances from their Service Manager Maris that the issue would be rectified. Ecotech cancelled the first appointment without any notice until just a couple of hours beforehand on the day we were supposed to receive the service, and then the second appointment was scheduled for over a month later, and the technician did not show up for the appointment during the agreed time. The most recent missed appointment was this morning December 18 at 9am. They had almost a month of lead time to ensure this appointment was met, but they did not perform and no one contacted us. We cannot keep setting aside time for technicians that do not show up. Maris confirmed both the second and third appointments with us. Based on these facts, EcoTech customer service is lacking. This is only window screens at this time. Imagine if any of our windows actually malfunction! We would be out of luck based on this experience. We will avoid doing business with Ecotech in the future.

    Window replacement

    I contacted this company which was referred to me by a family member and all I can say is they are truly what they preach about. Everything went very smoothly from the beginning to the end. The sales team took their time with explaining delays in regards to COVID and answered every question I had and when it came time to install the new windows (which did not take as long as I thought it would) they’re team did an amazing job as promised and I couldn’t be any more happier with the results. In terms of financing and price they are also very flexible as they offer different options in terms of payment. Additionally I truly believe they prioritize not just producing amazing products but also making sure that their clients are happy and got what they asked for and more ! The owner also personally followed up with me and made sure there were no mistakes and that I was pleased with the service. I will be using ecotech for future installations regarding windows and doors and I advise anyone else looking to change their Holmes for the better to do the same

    Horrific experience

    We are horrified at our experience with Ecotech. We were screwed around, told false information, and lost thousands in revenue for days we missed off work to be home for installations that never happened because Ecotech kept dropping the ball and cancelling hours after teams were supposed to be on site. Mark the owner will not get back to you even after promising a reply. Michael the GM can't even manage to address an email. You'll be told you'll get a discount to make up for all these mistakes, and then Mark and Michael will say no because... they're that cheap? Do yourself a BIG favour and shop anywhere but here. I wish we never ever let the sales guy step through our door. I don't regret much in life, but I regret using Ecotech. Services: Window installation, Door installation

    Biggest mistake of my life!!

    Thought we were replacing our windows with top quality windows and received the opposite. Worst installation ever, empty promises from the company to rectify the situation. Horrible unsymmetrical flashing, with ugly globs of caulking. They cut my siding and now we have water damage in my home. Been trying for months to get the quality of work we paid for and they give the run around. Sent the same crew to fix the problem without the supervisor like we were promised. DO NOT hire this company. You will regret it!!

    Windows replacement

    We just got out 5 Windows replaced. From the beginning to the end we had a great experience. The sales guy was doing a great job in explaining the benefits of the producer, how the installation will go and when we can expect the installation date. The installation free was professional polite and knew what they were doing. My only regret, I waited to long to get my Windows replaced.

    Delayed, Incomplete Work and Credit Card Disputes

    Would not recommend this company. We paid eco tech approximately $15000 to replace 14 windows, a front door and do some aluminium window capping. Initially, we were told they were a Window Wise accredited company, which we later found out they had lost that accreditation. On the day of install they didn’t inform me that the front door wasn’t ready and didn’t complete the capping. When I called I asked them to withhold some of the funds as it was not completed. They charged my card anyways. I had to call to get them to refund the $650 again (even though the door that was not installed was valued at $3500). They also provided windows with the incorrect type of frosting for all 3 bathrooms. They said the door would be ready one month later and scheduled a new install. Well, the door wasn’t ready but no one called to tell me or give me a time line as to when it would be ready. They said they would send a someone to replace the glass panes with the correct style of frosted glass. So the guy shows up a week later… one of the panels is not the right size. They left one of the sliding windows with two different styles of frosted glass. Finally, after many phone calls, the front door is ready. The man comes to install it, but there’s a dent in the door frame and he doesn’t do the aluminum capping. I specifically wrote on the installers form that I do not give permission for the company to charge my credit card as the job is not complete. They charged my visa the full amount anyways. The capping was $100 and I am still getting a quote to replace the door frame from another company. They have now stopped responding to my emails regarding the incomplete work. This was a very stressful and unsatisfactory experience using this company. Would not recommend.

    Window Replacement

    Windows were ordered on April 27th, 2021. Our installation date was July 28th, 2021. Installation contractors arrived on time only to discover windows were the wrong size. We had to reach out to EcoTech about this problem, no customer service rep has ever contacted us. Generic emails have been sent only when we request an update. This is still not resolved.     Absolutely horrendous service

    DO NOT use this company. We moved into our house in April of this year and decided to use them to replace all the windows and doors. They installed the windows on May 11th. One of the sliding doors came with a screen that was too small so we were told they would bring a new one when they came to install the entry doors. We found 2 screen frames dented after the installation and 3 days after the install, we had a screen fall out of our kitchen window onto a recycle bin and twist the frame. After calling to enquire about having it replaced I was told to submit a service request online and someone would be in contact. I did as instructed. Even added photos of the issues. We waited 2 weeks and nobody called or emailed. I called back and they told me the same thing. I told them I had already submitted a request 2 weeks ago. They said they would pass along the info and we would be contacted to setup an appointment. Still nothing. The entry doors were installed July 8th, and of course the installer knew nothing about bringing a new screen for the one sliding door. Also the wrong colour hardware was ordered for our doors as we had asked for black hardware. Called back a 3rd time after 2 more weeks and heard the same empty promise. Finally at the end of July I was able to get in touch with a human being on the phone. The service manager Maris seemed to have everything under control. She apologized for all the inconvenience and assured us she was taking it over and would deal with it as promptly as possible. We went over all the issues and she told me she would be in contact within a day to schedule a date for the install. We got an email stating they would be here Sept 20th to install the new screens and door hardware. The date came and went and when we contacted them to ask why they never showed up. We were told that we shouldn't have gotten that email, that it was an automated email, our actual date was Oct. 14th. Yes, 5 MONTHS after my initial contact with them to have someone come and fix their screw ups. On Oct. 13th we received an email saying that their service crew had contacted covid and had to reschedule....AGAIN. It took emailing them twice to get a date scheduled. Nov 24th. Now over 6 months after my initial contact. At this point we were skeptical whether anyone would even show up. A technician showed up yesterday. With nothing but a screen for the sliding door. And guess what. It was the same one they took back with them in May when they initially installed the doors. He had no other screens to replace or new black hardware for our entry doors. The installer and I apologized to each other for all the wasted time and he was on his way. I emailed the general manager Mike Connaught and Maris, the service manager yesterday after calming down from the whole fiasco and guess what, there has been nothing in the way of contact to straighten any of these issues out. On top of all this they have charged us fully for the whole job, that isn't totally finished. (Taking charges off our credit card without any notice whatsoever. Even after being asked to contact us before they charged the card.) So please, do yourself a favour and use ANYONE else but Ecotech. Their service is absolutely horrendous and I hope you gain some insight from reading this long winded rant about a terrible company.

    Disappointment

    This story begins a year ago, when I had 3 windows replaced by Ecotech. I opted for the "brick to brick" window replacement, as well as an inspection of the wood framing around the windows, as I thought that there may have been some water penetration. I also requested that the sheet metal trim around the windows be replaced. So, the week of Nov 15 2020 an installer came out to do the work. Things progressed well, the installer was working very quickly. I asked why he was so fast, he told me that my job wasn't that big, and that it was to be done in half a day. He had a second install scheduled later the same day. I asked him to check for rotten wood, he said that it was all good, great shape. when it came time for the metal trim around the windows, he told me that he wasn't going to replace it, he would use the old sheet metal. The new window was very slightly smaller than the old window, so there was a larger gap. This was filled in with a very wide bead of caulk. It looked horrible. As soon as the guy left, I called Ecotech to send out the sales person I'd been dealing with. He showed up, and agreed that it looked like crap. He told me to put in a service request to get it fixed up. So I put in a service request. They are too busy to send someone. And its getting too cold. They will fix it in the new year (2021) they said. I'm dealing with the service manager, he seems like a good guy. February 2021, I message them, they have not forgotten me, he will get right back to me on a service date. March 2021, I call them, they have not forgotten me, they will call me right back, they promise April for sure. I hound them again, they give me April 26. On April 26 a guy shows up. He tells me that the wood rot around my window is too bad. He also tells me that he forgot to bring the sheet metal to use around the windows. I call the service manager. I tell him that I will pay extra to get the rotten wood replaced, and the new trim on. He agrees on this. He will get right back to me with a quote. Crickets from Ecotech. I call them repeatedly, finally get the service manager on 10 July 2021. The service manager is no longer with the company, they have someone new now, a female. I tell my story. She will get right back to me she says. I try repeatedly to get her, she responds on Aug 31. She will get right back to me, a day or 2 at the most. I call repeatedly, finally get to her Sep 18. She is struggling to understand the nature of my issue. She will get right back to me early next week. And they never contacted me again. This is now my one year anniversary of my window install. Needless to say, I won't be dealing with them any further. I was very surprised how a company with so many positive reviews could do such a poor job.

    So bad in appointement :(

    We didn’t done , but they didn’t respect appointment, not professional at all. Not happy to sign a contract, to take a day off from work & they didn’t came . It was for mid October & they didn’t finish the windows. They give us an appointment for Nov. 15 , I take the day off , they didn’t cane. I called them they said we leave a voice msg to change the appointment for nov. 25. No voices msg on my mobile from them at all. Professional people send an email !!!!!
