    replaced main water valve

Andrew Grzebieniak, who provided us with the urgent plumbing work which we needed was very professional & qualified to do the urgent work we needed. We had a serious leak on our main water tap & he advised us on the best option for our VERY DATED TAP (WHICH THE CITY OF TORONTO SHOULD HAVE ADVISED US WHEN THEIR NEW METER WAS INSTALLED) on Saturday at 10 p.m. & was very punctual on Sunday morning with all the materials that he needed to service our needs. We are very happy & completely satisfied with Andrew's work. We recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing to anyone with plumbing needs.....they are great!! Thank you Mr. Rooter!!

Main water shut off, Humidifier pipe and valve & Kitchen Faucet

We knew for a while that we needed to change our main water shut off valve, but weren't quite sure how to go about it. Andrew explained what needed to be done and was so helpful with us and the city to get this job done. He took the time to clearly explain what should be done and the reasons why. I couldn't be happier with his workmanship, professionalism, and knowledge. I have asked Mr. Rooter to have Andrew be our primary contact for any future plumbing needs. Thank you Andrew!!!

    service

Chris and M2 replaced sinks, taps, laundry hoses and shower spout in our home. They were punctual, professional, friendly, courteous, well organized and work oriented. They were meticulous in job performance and their clean up. Great job well done. Would be happy to have them back for any future plumbing needs.

    Replace old faucet cartridges

We could not get hot water. Direct Energy confirmed it was not the gas heater. Chris Cochrane and Marim from Mr. Rooter came promptly, identified the cause of our problem and corrected it. All in a very short period of time. I have used Mr. Rooter on several occasions since moving to this home in 2004. I have always received prompt, courteous and reasonably priced services. The office staff - hey Laurie & Diane - are very helpful too. I have no qualms about recommending this group for plumbing issues.

    Flood Basement: Blocked main line

Chris Cochrane, is excellent. Very professional. Offered up useful tips. Was here in a very timely manner, despite after hours flooding due to main sewage line being blocked. Mr. Rooter is slightly more expensive than other plumbing services but the convenience and service make it worth it for us

Repaired rust blockage of water intake line into hot water tank

I have only good things to say about the plumber and his apprentice that showed up and did the work. Very professional, clean, answered all my questions, etc. My dissatisfaction and reason for a low rating is two fold: First, the biggest issue was the outrageous "fixed fee" cost. They don't charge by the hour but it cost me $277 for approx. 55min of work, plus a $15 fuel surcharge (I am 7.5km from their office); I just called the first plumber on yellowpages and they quoted me $160 for a service call to replace a valve, which is less work than done today. My second issue was that they were unable to come yesterday when I phoned in, so I agreed to a service call today because I was told I was guaranteed a 9am appointment. They didn't show until 10:10am. This is the basis for my rating.

    Install toilet and bathroom sink

Mr. Rooter is a very professional outfit, no argument there but I really got the sense that the job they did was less than stellar and more importantly, was very expensive. The job took less than two hours and involved about two feet of PVC pipe and two elbows totaling maybe $10.00 in material. $350per hour is a pretty high cost for a plumbing technician. Like a fool, I actually bought a program that allegedly gives me a break on pricing for future jobs. This week I got a quote from them to move a pipe and add a new outdoor faucet. All very straightforward in the joist area of an unfinished basement. No chance for time consuming complications. The quote seemed very high to me so I got a second, smaller company to quote and it was $250 less ($400 instead of $650). This, in spite of the fact that I am getting "preferential" pricing! I will bet that the job will take less than two hours again bringing Mr. rooter in at somewhere near $400/hr. No disrespect but I wouldn't pay my lawyer that.

Leaky wall valve which leaked water into walls/ceiling

I was worried that a pipe had burst inside of the walls. But Chris Cochrane came and took care of it within minutes. Just the wall valve of a toilet needed a quick change and tune up. And the price was more than fair - it alleviated all of my fears and worries. Chris doubled checked his work and offered some helpful hints. I would recommend Chris.

    toilet overflow, pipes and pump

Very good service, kept me informed on exactly what the problem was the entire time. Left everything in even better condition when left. Chris Cochrane was very professional and knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it very promptly. If I ever have a problem again I will make sure he is the plumber that I get.

    Plumbing

Robert from Mr. Rooter plumbing was fantastic! I appreciate his professionalism and the expert advice and work he provided. Before starting any work, he called to get a second opinion as he had not seen a situation like ours before. He gave us the cost upfront and finished the job quickly and efficiently. More importantly... problem solved! I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing, but more specifically Robert. We will be asking for Robert next time anything goes wrong with our plumbing.
