    main shutoff valve, more valves and miscellaneous

    I got in touch with John because I needed to replace a seized main shutoff valve in my parents' home. He was quick to respond and I found his quote to be very fair. The city of Toronto doesn't tell you when they'll actually get around to shut the water off, so I really appreciated John telling me he'd be available within an hour after I called to let him know the water was off. He showed up 30 minutes after I called and took care of the valve replacement. Since he was already there, I also had him replace a few more valves, toilet supply lines and a kitchen faucet. I was pleased with the work and would definitely recommend him.

    Toilet and faucet replacement

    John was quick in responding to my emails and was able to complete the job under short notice. He provided a quote based on photos I had provided and he sourced the materials so things were seamless from my perspective. His work is professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend him!

    Fantastic plumber

    I urgently needed a plumber because I had lost water pressure in my kitchen tap. John accommodated my work schedule and arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. He and his son, Andre, fixed my kitchen tap, a leaking shut off valve and replaced an old outdoor faucet. They were very professional, efficient, neat and careful. John gave me an invoice with a 90 day warranty on his work. Andre gave me detailed instructions on how to properly winterize the pipes in my house. It is hard to find tradesmen who care about their work product. John is that kind of tradesman. I highly recommend him.

    Washroom Renovation

    Over the years, hiring an honest and skilled plumber was always a task we approached with great trepidation and misgivings, having had the misfortune of dealing with substandard work in the past. So when faced with some major plumbing work related to refitting our bathroom, we were very stressed out choosing a plumber for the job. John Dima a master plumber proved to be an excellent choice. He was thorough in his workmanship and worked with great care and caution. The fact that he had higher education in Engineering from his native Romania was apparent in the quality and execution of his work. I have no hesitation recommending John to anyone needing to hire a plumber.

    Quick, clean and easy toilet installation and repair

    From start to finish, it was easy. I called Dimi in the morning and he gave me an estimate right away on the phone without needing to come out to see the place or any hesitation in giving out the price. We replaced the main shut-off valve from the street, 2 water valves to the toilet and installed a brand new toilet. His pricing was not the cheapest but definitely reasonable and his level of service and prompt response time, more than made up for a small premium we were very happy to pay. He was very professional and clean. Thanks Dimi.

    replaced kitchen faucet

    great job!!

    John made the whole process - replacing my toilet - so easy! He had me take a picture and send it to him; he did the sourcing, purchase, installation and took away the old one - Thank you

    Kitchen Sink Drain

    I recently had a new kitchen countertop installed, and needed a plumber to connect the drain. I contacted Dima Plumbing because of the reviews on HomeStars. John responded quickly, and was able to come the next day. It was such a pleasure to see John work. He really knows his stuff! He finished in rapid time, cleaned up well, and provided a 90 day warranty. Sometimes, I think that all the 10/10 reviews on HomeStars aren't valid - how can anyone be that good? In John's case, Dima Plumbing is a true 10/10. I'll definately be using him again, and if you're lucky, you'll be using him too!

    Shower Valve

    Our home handyman project of changing the shower valve and faceplate turned out to be more than we were up for, so with water already shut off for 12 hours, John Dima was able to come within hours of phoning and get the job done properly and professionally. And without breaking the tiles !! Thanks, John.

    replace bathroom shower faucet
