    Junk Removal

    I hadn't used this company before, just heard about them online. They were terrific! The team of two who came for my stuff were wonderfully friendly, polite and helpful. I was worried because they were running a little behind, but they phoned ahead to explain and make sure it was still convenient to come over. I am also really impressed that they don't just take everything and junk it, they receycle what they can and if furniture is usable, they make it available for Habitat for Humanity. Knowing my stuff will only be thrown out if it's truly useless makes me more comfortable to pass it on. I truly would recommend this company to my mother!!!

    1800- RID-OF-IT

    I would highly recommend 1-800-RID-Of-IT!! This company was recommended to me by a friend and I will recommend them to all my friends. Highly professional, great price, friendly and they get the job done! Having lived in the same home for 34 years and moving we were quick to realize that the ‘junk’ we had accumulated was far too daunting a task. The wonderful guys at ‘Get Rid Of IT’ came to the house with a friendly smile and muscles to boot! Not ONLY did they get rid of all our 'junk (and there was a LOT!!) but they found some ‘sentimental’ items that we had completely forgotten about. How amazing is that?! They actually brought these few items to my attention and I am so grateful that they took the time to make sure that it was not gotten ‘rid of’ With an eye to detail, friendly, fair pricing, and professional – what a relief. If you want to have honest hard working people in your home – this is the company!!!

    removal of medical office equipment/furnishings

    The workers arrived on time, and completed the job in the time estimated by Derek. The company was able to accomodate the restricted hours allowed by the building to do removals. The price was very fair. The two workers were friendly and professional. I would use this company again. Thanks!

    Junk Removal

    I regularly use junk removal services for various properties across the city. I have used many of RID-OF-IT's competitors but always felt the personal and professional touch was missing from some of the big multi city 1-800 companies. However since trying 1-800-RID-OF-IT (Due to their quick availability) I have to say i don't think i would ever dream of calling anyone else. There staff are always nice and professional and the service is second to none. Well done guys for turning a convenient and quick service in to an enjoyable experience for others to try to follow!

    Junk Removal

    We recently moved into a new house and the previous owners left quite a bit of junk....rocks, wood, old stuff. We had to get all this stuff removed from the property within a couple of days as the previous owners were going to pay for it. We called 1-800-rid-of-it and spoke to a very nice person who understood our dilema and made arrangements for a truck to come within an hour or two. The two gentlemen that showed up were nice looking and well dressed...especially considering that they pick up junk. Rick and James made qucik work of getting rid of all the requested removal and even went the extra step by sweeping up some of the areas that they removed the junk. We were absolutely thrilled with the amount of customer service we received. We later phoned back to the dispatch guy in order to thank him for making such quick arrangments and said that the two guys that came to the house were very good. We found out the the owner was one of the guys that helped remove the junk. We couldn't believe that an owner of a company woudl step out from his desk and do this physical work to help out our needs. We will alsways remember that and will of course use this company again in the near future. We recommend this company and thank them for their fine courtious service.

    junk removal

    I had complete satisfaction with this very reliable and dependable company. I give it ten out of ten. They returned calls promptly, were flexible with times to provide service, and arrived when they said they would. This in and of itself is most admirable and appreciated. Then they did an amazing job. The frontline staff were very supportive and friendly and very effecient. I was beyond impressed with 1 800 RID OF IT. I recommend them to anyone looking to clear up. Spring cleaning is around the corner!!!!

    Storage

    I needed to clear out a family memeber's old storage unit and a friend reccomended 1-800-Rid-Of-It so I gave them a call. They came right on time and worked quickly and cleaned out the storage unit in no time. Price was reasonable I thought as there was quite a bit of junk in the storage and the guys were very friendly. I would definitely reccomend them to anyone who needs to clear out some space.

    Picking up garbage

    I had a lot of junk after cleaning out my garage. I bought a discounted coupon from Groupon for 1-800-Rid-Of-It. I then booked the pick-up time and looked forward to getting rid of all the stuff in my driveway. Imagine my surprise when the truck arrived and I learned that the pre-paid pick-up only covered about one-quarter of the stuff I wanted picked up! I ended up paying more than $50 extra to get rid of about half the stuff. Much of the junk I had was relatively light in weight, but required a lot of space - like old plastic lawn furniture and plastic signs I didn't want to pay more than $130 for the garbage disposal, so I had to put the remaining stuff back in my yard. I later packed up much of the left-over stuff in garbage bags which the city eventually picked up over the next couple of weeks. I used extra garbage tags to get those bags picked up by the city. I wasn't impressed with the small load that 1-800-Rid-of-It actually carted away. When I told the driver this, he explained about the cost of tipping fees and the time private garbage haulers have to wait at city transfer stations. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend using this firm.

    Old Balcony Flooring Removal

    Last time I called Rid of It to remove some junky cabinetry that the old owner left behind. This time, I had them remove old dusty and dirty balcony flooring planks from my condo. Since the condo building requires us to move all "renovation" materials offsite, it's difficult to find the time to rent a truck, drive to a dump, etc. Minimum charge is $100, but when I think of how much I'd have to pay to rent a truck, etc., not to mention the hassle of moving out the dirty stuff and taking time to dump it, it's worth it. I just call these guys, and they come on time within a 1 hour window, so I can easily book the elevator and be done with it before I go to work. Didn't have to lift a finger. And Paul and Malkah were super friendly, and were careful not to damage anything. Repeat customer here, and will definitely use again.

    Removal of basement furniture

    Rick gave me an accurate quote over the phone with pleasant phone manners. He knew all the right questions to ask, seems like an expert. His 2 guys came promptly and on time, were cordial and respectful of my walls and property in general. The price was right as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them whatsoever.
