    Fixed washing machine

    Peter is great, He was prompt and ordered a new pump ..Within a couple of days,he was back and our washing machine was as good as new..

    Fixed my refrigerator

    Peter came and assessed the problem with my refrigerator quickly and was able to fix the problem so it worked well again. He also spotted an issue with the dishwasher installation and fixed that while he was on-site as well. Highly recommend Modern Appliance for your appliance issues.

    Excellent Customer Service

    We called Peter to repair our Electrolux induction stove when it began beeping and showing the dreaded "E-15" error. Peter responded right away, and was able to fix the issue promptly. The replacement part was unfortunately a defect (through no fault of Peter - some of these circuit boards have been refurbished, and he did warn us of this potential, though the replacement part initially looked fine), and Peter was fantastic about coming back quickly to ensure our stove was back up and running. I really appreciate his dedication to excellence in customer service!

    Gas range repair

    Peter correctly diagnosed repair issue from my description. Promptly and efficiently completed repair for price quoted and provided suggestion to reduce cost of future service, if necessary. Excellent customer service experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.

    Oven repair

    We asked Peter to repair on oven burner on an old oven. Peter is a reliable honest and very courteous repair man. His is true to his quotes and repair scheduling. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone need appliance repair

    Fix Frigidaire FFBN1721TV Refrigerator

    Apparently this fridge could not handle the heat and humidity in the summer of 2020. Peter came as scheduled and replaced the defrost sensor quickly and safely. Job was completed early October. Costs were within reason. Only issue was waiting for the part from USA which took a month. Refrigerator still works and we’re so glad Peter fixed it even after multiple attempts at manually defrosting. We would use Peter again when that time comes again.

    Dishwasher diagnosis and install

    Our 10 year old dishwasher was leaking somewhere causing the machine to automatically shut down occasionally. I selected Peter from HomeStars. He came and determined that it was the pump that needed to be replaced and quoted the cost of repair. Given the age of the machine I chose to buy a new equivalent. Peter returned the next week to install it. There were some challenges with the install but he worked with it until they were resolved. I appreciated his knowledge of dishwashers plus his meticulous attention to detail. And so happy to stop hand washing dishes again.

    Dishwasher Repair

    Peter was fantastic. He was both friendly and efficient and was able to diagnose the issue with a video I had emailed ahead of the scheduled repair visit. Would absolutely recommend him!

    Bosch dishwasher installation

    Our old Bosch dishwasher sprang a leak after 14 years and Peter advised that the labour + parts to repair made it more economical to purchase new. He charged about $70 for the service call, and said that if we called him back to install a new machine, there would be no similar charge for that visit. We had a new machine delivered on Friday and Peter scheduled the installation for Monday -- very prompt. He arrived on time within the 2-hour window he committed to, and worked efficiently to complete the installation. Friends of mine have also used Peter's services and they give equally glowing reviews. For appliance repair or installation, Modern Appliance is the way to go.
