    Fridge Repair

    The control panel of my fridge has problem. I had a KitchenAid technician came over, quoted me $2000+ for repair. He basically told me to buy a new fridge, which costs $7,000+. We want to get a second opinion, so we called Peter. He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone, even know the exact part which needed to be replaced. (Different diagnosis from the KitchenAid technician). Unfortunately, the part is not available anymore. We ended up finding someone to repair the part, costly me $250, and it is all fixed! Peter is very knowledgeable! We highly recommend him!!

    Fridge repair

    Peter was courteous, professional and did a great job of quickly identifying the problem with our fridge (fan), ordering the replacement part and installing it. We have used Modern Appliance before to repair our washer. I appreciate his honest advice on what is worth repairing and what would be best to replace.

    Very Satisfied with Modern Appliance

    Modern Appliance is top notch. I contacted Peter about an issue with our dryer and he got back to me right away and came by shortly to fix. He wore mask, used gloves and was very careful to clean up afterwards. Most importantly he was friendly, professional, and arrived exactly when he said he would. He advised me of the issue and explained how to avoid it in future. I highly recommend Modern Appliance.

    Fridge repair

    Peter provided support for a fridge issue we were having over the phone over a few weeks before booking a service call. He is friendly and knowledgeable, arrives when he says he will and does great work. My go-to for appliance repair.

    honest service, prompt response

    the igniter in our gas stove is gone. We call Peter for all our appliance repairs- he is quick, hones, knowledgeable and really really good at his job. He knows the right questions to ask before he arrives, and he has great advice about upcoming appliance purchases.

    Fixd leaking frig

    Peter is very professional. He called me right away, provided a quote, ordered the parts, and fixed my Jenn-Air frig immediately. I will definitely hire him again. Thank you Peter.

    Be very careful

    I contacted Modern Appliance to fix my glass top Frigidaire Elect Oven. Before arriving I sent a picture of range. When he arrived with his tool bag on wheels and I observed he had a unsteady gait. I offered my adult son to assist him move the range forward to access the back panel Peter declined assistance. He was unable to fix the range and returning the range to the original opening he rested left side of the top glass top of range on the counter and the weight shattered the glass. Once it was broken he found several reasons why, he now requested my son's assist, the glass must have had a crack, it couldn't be fixed. No apology and he left me with a range more broken than before. Before the top was shattered he complained that some parts for manufacturers don't work because factory employees replace them with used parts.

    Dishwasher and Fridge Repair

    I contacted Modern Appliance after reading the amazing reviews on Homestars and I am so glad I did. Peter got back to me with an apt time and estimate and he was punctual and bang on with the pricing. He is super knowledgeable and really takes the time to diagnose the problem. He let me know what was happening while he worked and really cared about doing a great job. He was upfront and honest and and I feel was very reasonable with the pricing. He fixed both appliances and I would highly recommend him. I will definitely be using him again in future for any issues. Thanks so much Peter!

    Consistently great service

    Have been calling peter for 10 years at two homes. Honest, knowledgeable, professional and great work. Would recommend to anyone!
