Needed to replace the heating unit in my dryer. Peter was quick to respond, identify the part needed, order and install it. Weighed the pros and cons of repair versus replacement and didn't sell either way. Excellent service.

I called this company based upon the very high scores of satisfaction by other people who also used and reviewed the work of Modern Appliance on this website. Also, they have repaired a lot of dishwashers so I felt they had a lot of experience and knowledge about them. Peter was very helpful and tried to resolved our issue of the dishwasher not draining all the water unless the drain function was used multiple times. Peter arrived at my house as promised between 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.. He replaced the drain pipe with the faulty safety valve. Peter did a great job. Thank you so much Peter. I would definitely call his company if any of my other household appliances have a problem in the future.

Another flood. Has anyone had more floods than I have? This time it was the dishwasher which wasn't draining. What a mess. I noted the good reviews that Modern Appliance got so I gave Peter a call. Communication was excellent and I arranged for him to come and look everything over. The damage to the dishwasher (from broken glass) was fairly extensive. Fortunately Peter was able to make all the necessary repairs and get the dishwasher working properly again. I've run the dishwasher a number of times with no problems. I was very pleased with Peter and with my experience with Modern Appliance. I would definitely call Modern Appliance again (let's hope I don't have to for a while).

Our fridge and freezer suddenly stopped cooling one day, and so we called a few appliance repair places. Peter was very quick to respond, and although he could not come out that same day, he provided suggestions of what we could try in the mean-time to rule out possibilities of what the issue may be. Based on what I told him, he had a guess of what may be wrong and said that he could order the parts for the next day. Peter came by the next afternoon and quickly diagnosed that it needed a new relay. When installing it, he also noticed a patch of ice build up on the outside back wall of the freezer, which may have had a hand in causing the unit to not cool properly (ice was causing vents to become blocked). He wasn't sure if changing the relay would ultimately fix the issue, but suggested that we try unplugging the unit for 24 hours to let the ice defrost, and see how it goes. If the unit was still not cooling after that, he said he could come back to see what else may be causing the problem. Unplugging it for 24 hours, and switching out the relay did the trick - it's been over a month since we had it fixed and the unit works great. Thanks Peter!!!

Peter came and repaired our Kenmore dryer today. He was professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. The rates are very reasonable. Response to emails fast and informative. Can't wait to do some laundry - LOL!!!!

Peter repaired my refrigerator. The compressor fan had stopped running and he replaced the main board which solved the problem. Everything was as we discussed on the phone prior and went smoothly. I like to ask a lot of questions about my appliances and he was happy to answer them. I also appreciated that he accepts Visa, I've found many repair places do not. He also made efforts to change his schedule to get to my repair sooner which was great. I was very happy with his work and will be calling him again when in need of appliance repairs.

This is the second time Peter has done work for us. This time, he replaced a washing machine liner that was on a hard-to-find, discontinued product. He managed to find the part, and he was quick to replace the liner. He was always prompt, professional, and he did an excellent job. His invoice clearly outlined the work, and the cost was reasonable.

I was unable to proceed with my work order however they displayed the utmost professionalism and responsiveness to my request for quote. I appreciated their dedication to servicing the customer and the experience of working with this company. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with them in the future.
